Yankees Urged To Swing Rare Intra-Divisional Trade For Infielder

The New York Yankees hold onto the lead of the loaded American League East, but if they don't upgrade their infield and starting rotation, they might not have this lead for long. While the Yankees have tried every internal approach possible to fill these gaping roster voids, it seems like they're going to need to turn to the trade market for a solid upgrade. Zachary Howell of Clutch Points recently suggested the Yankees could trade infield prospect Jesus Rodriguez to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for veteran infielder Ramón Urías. It would be a rare intra-divisional trade between two AL East rivals. Urias is an above-average fielder with enough pop at the plate to give Boone confidence putting him in his order," Howell wrote. It would be quite shocking to see the Orioles swing a deal with the Yankees to help push the Bronx Bombers in the right direction, but Urías is clearly an expendable player on Baltimore's roster. This trade could make sense, but it's more likely the Yankees will be forced to look outside the division for help.
