Scorecards! Pacquiao Skunked In Final Rounds For Majority Draw
Manny Pacquiao proved he's still got something to give in boxing, taking WBC champion Mario Barrios to a majority draw on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Watch the highlights here. Few gave the 46-year-old 'Pac-Man' much of a chance against the 30-year-old Barrios, especially given some of the performances we'd seen from Manny in exhibition matches over the past few years of pseudo-retirement. But Pacquiao was clearly motivated for his comeback, and not only held his own against Barrios ... many watching the fight believe he should have won. The three judges had it 114-114, 114-114, and 115-113 for Barrios. MMA Mania scored the fight 115-113 for Pacquiao. Take a look at the scorecards delivered by Tim Cheatham, Max De Luca, and Steve Weisfeld below: MMA Mania had Pacquiao winning rounds 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. All three judges had Barrios winning the last three rounds, pushing the fight to a draw. Based on CompuBox stats, the rounds were extremely close on output. But a lot of people are going to be upset that Pacquiao put on such an impressive performance at his age and didn't get recognized on the scorecards for it. How did you see the fight going? Noche UFC: Jared Gordon vs. Rafa Garcia added to Sept. 13 lineup A battle between lightweight veterans is the first addition to UFC Fight Night 259, which is the third-annual Noche UFC event. Jared Gordon will take on Rafa Garcia on the Sept. 13 event, which moved from Guadalajara, Mexico to Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas (ESPN+). Both fighters confirmed news of the matchup on social media after an initial report from MMA Mania. Gordon (21-7 MMA, 9-6 UFC) has won two of his past three fights, with both wins coming by knockout. The 36-year-old is coming off a first-round knockout of Thiago Moises at UFC Fight Night 256 in May. Meanwhile, Mexico's Garcia (17-4 MMA, 5-4 UFC) has won five of his past seven fights, most recently defeating Vinc Pichel by unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 64 in March.

Amanda Ribas set to face Tabatha Ricci at UFC 318 in New Orleans Top 10 strawweights Amanda Ribas and Tabatha Ricci will meet at UFC 318. UFC 318 continues to take shape with the addition of a matchup between top-10 strawweights. Contenders Amanda Ribas and Tabatha Ricci will clash as they look to get back on track. MMA Junkie confirmed the booking with two sources following an initial report from MMA Mania. A lightweight BMF title fight between Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier will headline the pay-per-view event on July 19 at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Ribas (12-6 MMA, 7-5 UFC), who currently holds the No. 7 spot in the UFC straweight rankings, returns to three-round action after back-to-back main event losses. After stopping Luana Pinheiro in November 2023, Ribas, 31, would go on to drop a unanimous decision to former strawweight champ Rose Namajunas in a flyweight bout, and then tap out in the third round to Mackenzie Dern in January. Ricci (11-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC), currently ranked No. 10 by the promotion, will also look to return to the win column. In her last outing, Ricci, 30, dropped a unanimous decision to former title challenger Yan Xiaonan in November. King Green vs. Mauricio Ruffy added to UFC 313 in Las Vegas
One of the toughest veterans in MMA will give a rising talent the chance to prove himself at UFC 313 when King Green takes on Mauricio Ruffy. Green and Ruffy have agreed to meet at the March 8 pay-per-view event from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Two people with knowledge of the situation informed MMA Junkie of the booking Monday night following an initial report from MMA Mania. The people requested anonymity since the UFC has yet to make an announcement. Green (32-16-1 MMA, 13-11-1 UFC) tangled with a rising star in his most recent bout last year. In July, Green was submitted by Paddy Pimblett in the first round of their lightweight bout at UFC 304. Green, 38, has lost two of his past three bouts. Ruffy (11-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) will be making just his third UFC appearance since earning a contract through Dana White's Contender Series in October 2023. Ruffy, 28, beat Jamie Mullarkey with a flying knee and punches in his UFC debut and most recently claimed a unanimous decision against James Llontop last November.
