Team Liquid to represent the Philippines in SEA Games MLBB
Team Liquid is not yet done winning and still taking it up a notch after the powerhouse club earned the rights to represent the Philippines in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang men's event of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in December.
The Cavalry, fresh off a title run in the MPL Season 15 Philippines, did so by sweeping the SIBOL national team selection for SEA Games 2025 capped by a dominant 3-1 victory over Nine Lives in their finals clash on Friday.
Gold laner Kiel "Oheb" Soriano led the way in the clincher, unleashing a spotless KDA of 16 kills and three assists against no death on his Granger as Team Liquid finished off the MDL champions in four games.
The victory closed out what had been a dominant run for TLPH, which emerged unbeaten in the group stages with a 4-0 card before defeating Team Falcons in the semifinals.
They now get to represent the country in the biennial meet touted as one of the premier MLBB tournaments in the region. Team Liquid will also have the task of preserving the Philippines' gold medal streaks in MLBB SEA Games with the country ruling the last three editions since 2019.
Despite heading to an unfamiliar territory, Team Liquid has proven in the past it can dominate the international stage after it ruled the M4 World Championship in 2023 while finishing third in MSC 2023.
Aside from Oheb, Team Liquid will bank on the other core led by jungler Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno, exp laner Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya, midlaner Alston "Sanji" Pabico, and roamer Jaypee "Jaypee" Dela Cruz with Rodel "Ar Sy" Cruz serving as the head coach.
