MPPSC Recruitment 2025: Application Process Begins For Food Safety Officer Posts; Salary Up To Rs 1.14 Lakh
MPPSC Food Safety Officer Recruitment 2025: The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has started the registration process for the recruitment of Food Safety Officers. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website - The application window will remain open until August 10, 2025. Correction Window For Application The correction window for the online form will be open from July 16 to August 12, 2025 (until 12 noon). A correction fee of Rs 50 per session will be applicable. Corrections can be made using MP Online's authorised kiosks. Name corrections will not be allowed. Any remaining errors must be corrected during this window, as changes will not be accepted at later stages like the exam or interview. A total of 67 vacancies are available under this recruitment drive. The selected candidates will be offered a salary between Rs 36,200 to Rs 1,14,800 per month, along with other allowances as per state government rules. Equivalent qualifications approved by the Food Authority or the central government will also be considered. Candidates will have to appear for an OMR-based objective exam. Based on exam scores, three times the number of vacancies (plus ties) will be shortlisted for the interview. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of combined marks of the written exam and interview.

Students struggle to apply for admission due to technical glitches
Indore: The newly introduced app-based online admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Indore colleges has turned into a significant hassle for students. Despite being launched to streamline admissions, the system is marred by slow server response, frequent app crashes, and inadequate support at designated kiosk centres, leaving applicants frustrated and confused. This year, DHE roped in a Bengaluru-based firm for the online admission counselling process, replacing MP Online. Students are particularly troubled by issues related to Samagra ID, a mandatory requirement for registration. Many applicants without a Samagra ID are unable to complete their registration for the first round of admissions. Students whose Aadhaar details are not updated are also facing hurdles. The situation is worse in rural areas, where downloading the admission app itself has proved challenging due to poor internet connectivity. Another applicant, Mayur Goyal, shared that while he managed to download the app after several attempts, technical errors are now blocking his registration. Currently, admissions are open for BA, BCom, BSc, MA, MCom, and MSc courses. For the first time, the admission process for all traditional UG and PG courses, along with BEd and law, is being conducted simultaneously across 240 colleges in Indore, covering approximately 1 lakh seats. The first round of registrations will continue until May 30, with the second round beginning June 7. Even minority-status colleges are included in the unified online process. Admissions for one-year PG courses like MA, MCom, and MSc have also begun, but students who appeared for the fourth year of UG exams are eligible. But, DAVV is yet to release the UG final semester results, causing further delays. Students, who want to pursue BBA and BCA courses, are waiting for admission counselling to open as this year the process have been shifted under the purview of DTE.

College admission registrations begin with new eligibility norms
Indore: The registration process for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and NCTE courses began on Thursday across Madhya Pradesh, with the Department of Higher Education (DHE) introducing several key changes in eligibility rules for the 2025–26 academic session. A significant change this year is the revised eligibility for admission into the Master of Arts (MA). According to the new guidelines, only students who completed a three-year Bachelor of Arts under the old syllabus or under the National Education Policy (NEP) will be eligible for admission into MA programmes. Alternatively, candidates must qualify either the CUET or the university-level entrance test in the relevant subject. "Earlier, students from any stream, including BSc and BCom, could pursue MA. Now, this restriction significantly affects aspirants preparing for civil services and other competitive exams," said Dr Mangal Mishra, a senior educationist. Another concern is that the online admission portal currently displays only the profiles of govt colleges, leaving out private institutions. Principals of private colleges expressed dissatisfaction, fearing this would further impact their already declining admission numbers due to reduced visibility. Additionally, for the first time, a Bengaluru-based private firm was contracted to manage the online admission system instead of the previously used MPOnline platform.
