Ford Stock (NYSE:F) Gains With Explorer Price Cut
Legacy automaker Ford (F) has drawn the ire of customers—and investors, by extension—for a lot of reasons in the last few years. High prices on vehicles was certainly one of the reasons, and one that kept a lot of potential car buyers out of the field. But Ford may be about to shake that particular game up a bit, and pull some potential Ford buyers off the fence. Investors were happy about this, and sent shares up over 1.5% in Monday afternoon's trading. Elevate Your Investing Strategy: Take advantage of TipRanks Premium at 50% off! This price cut comes to Ford's Explorer line—arguably Ford's flagship line, though the F-150 and the Mustang may have something to say about that—specifically, the 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor. The Tremor is a middle-of-the-lineup vehicle, and will be getting some price cutting when it appears on lots. This comes at a good time, too. The Explorer, reports note, is currently the '…best-selling midsize SUV in the United States,' with just over 104,000 units sold in the first half of 2025 alone. This gives Ford momentum to sell into, and it is taking advantage of that momentum with new pricing on the Tremor. The Tremor will sell for $48,330, a price that actually puts it $1,100 below the 2024 Explorer Timberline, which was recently discontinued. Want to Lease a Mach-E? It's a Good Time to Do So! If your taste runs more toward electric vehicles, and ones that carry a bit of history, there will also be some new pricing on Mustang Mach-E leases. The 2025 Mach-E Premium All-Wheel Drive edition, complete with extended battery, will now be available for $289 a month on a 36-month lease. The lease is offered through Ford Credit's Red Carpet Lease program, though you will need an additional $4,179 when you sign the lease. This will likely open up access to the Mach-E for a lot of users who would not have ordinarily gone with such a car. And when people lease cars, try them, drive them for a while, and get used to them, they may well follow up with a purchase. While such numbers have not really been tracked, there are some signs suggesting at least some customers will ultimately buy the same model car they once leased. Is Ford Stock a Good Buy Right Now? Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Hold consensus rating on F stock based on two Buys, 12 Holds and three Sells assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. After a 20.96% loss in its share price over the past year, the average F price target of $10.14 per share implies 10.54% downside risk.

Ford Launches Attainable Mustang Mach-E Lease Offer for July
Ford is making a serious value play in the electric SUV market this July. The Mustang Mach-E-its sleek, high-tech EV with a performance pedigree-is now more attainable than ever thanks to a new lease deal that undercuts many rivals. For drivers on the fence about switching to electric, the Mach-E's combination of fast acceleration, distinctive styling, and roomy interior already makes it a strong contender. This latest offer sweetens the deal, giving shoppers even more reason to consider Ford's battery-powered SUV over gas-powered alternatives. Ford is currently offering the 2025 Mustang Mach-E Premium AWD with the extended battery for just $289 a month on a 36-month lease. The deal is available through Ford Credit's Red Carpet Lease program and requires $4,179 due at signing. That's a compelling price point for a vehicle that offers up to 280 miles of range, quick acceleration, and the versatility of an electric crossover. While some EV lease offers are limited to base trims, this deal puts you in a well-equipped, all-wheel-drive model with real everyday practicality and performance. The Mustang Mach-E Premium AWD is one of the most balanced trims in the lineup. It offers a sporty dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive and up to 346 horsepower, enough for a mid-4-second 0–60 mph sprint. The ride feels confident and smooth, with enough punch to keep things interesting without draining the battery too quickly. Inside, the cabin features a massive 15.5-inch vertical touchscreen powered by Ford's updated Sync infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot come standard. The Premium trim also adds comfort touches like heated front seats, customizable ambient lighting, and a panoramic fixed-glass roof that bathes the cabin in natural light. The Premium AWD Extended Battery configuration delivers a solid 280-mile range estimate. That puts it comfortably in line with other midsize EV crossovers, and Ford's fast-charging capability means you won't be stuck waiting around at public stations. Ford also includes a mobile charger that can plug into standard household outlets or more powerful 240-volt home setups. For drivers looking to charge overnight and wake up to a full battery, that's an easy path without the need for third-party charging solutions. This July lease offer positions the Mustang Mach-E as one of the best electric vehicle values of the summer. It combines performance, range, and tech into a sharply styled SUV that feels both exciting and refined. Whether you're a longtime Ford fan or just EV-curious, this lease special makes it easier than ever to experience what the Mach-E has to offer. With its mix of practicality and performance-plus a monthly payment that undercuts most luxury EVs-it's a lease deal worth a serious look. *Disclaimer: This article is provided for informational purposes only. Ford Prepares To Redefine The Mustang
Read the full story on The Auto Wire If you're a purist who believes a real Ford Mustang has to be a coupe or convertible, hold onto your hat because things are about to change. While many have been angered by the Blue Oval putting the pony badge on the all-electric Mach-E crossover, word is the Mustang nameplate is going to be used for a lot more models moving coming first and making a huge splash is the much-rumored Mustang sedan everyone seems to be convinced will be called the Mach-4. While talk of such a thing coming out has been around for years, more recent reports claim dealers have been shown a concept vehicle, so that means it's in the development process. We expect Mustang faithful will have varying opinions on the thing, with most rejecting it as 'not a real Mustang.' But with four-door versions of the Dodge Charger coming back, and seeing how many of those Stellantis used to sell, it's just a wise business move to offer a muscle sedan. But Ford isn't stopping there. Supposedly at the same dealer meeting an off-road version of the Mustang was shown off. We don't know exactly the form of that concept, and it could easily have changed after dealer feedback. This clearly shows Ford is thinking outside the box about what constitutes a Mustang. Our more cynical side says the Blue Oval will slap pony badges on products which might not otherwise do as well. By cashing in on the vast social cache of the Mustang, it could sell more vehicles. Where's the limit? Will there be a three-row Mustang SUV? What about a super expensive two-seater Mustang supercar – oh wait, that exists. The future might bring us many more Mustang models, even if they're a horse of a different color entirely. 'Our Bet on the Dealership Was the Right Bet': Ford Stock (NYSE:F) Gains, Thanks to Dealers
Way back in the closing weeks of last year, a notion emerged from legacy automaker Ford (F) that left a lot of people scrambling. Ford had been actively reconsidering the notion of the dealership, and what role it played at Ford. While not much ever came out of that plan, that may have been the best news Ford could get, as it recently applauded its dealers for helping improve performance at Ford. Investors were just glad to see improvement, and sent shares up modestly in Wednesday afternoon's trading. Don't Miss TipRanks' Half-Year Sale Take advantage of TipRanks Premium at 50% off! Ford had been considering changes to the dealership as far back as last October, but Ford ultimately stuck with the dealership model as popularized by Henry Ford himself. And CEO Jim Farley, during a local event, came out in support of those very same dealers, pointing out that they '…can take an Edge customer and say, 'Would you be interested in a Mach-E?''. Farley declared that '…salesmanship that we can't do at the company.' Farley also pointed out the dealers are also calling on Ford to help bring in service technicians, as these are increasingly difficult to find. The dealers are also encouraging Ford to set up '…more software and technical hotlines' for sales reps to try and answer customers' questions about software in the vehicles. All of these points combine to make a very good reason why Ford seems to be sticking with the dealership as it is. The Great Charger Giveaway The recent changes coming up to electric vehicle tax incentives are hitting everybody, but not necessarily equally. The Ford Power Promise, meanwhile, continues in earnest, and is now operating through September. For those not familiar, the Ford Power Promise gives those who purchase a new Ford electric vehicle a free home charger and installation accordingly. But with electric vehicle tax credits expected to sunset on September 30, so too does the Ford Power Promise, reports note. Given that a Level 2 charger can cost close to $1,000 by itself, and installing it can cost anywhere up to $10,000, Ford's deal was a very welcome one for new electric vehicle buyers. So, for those who want to make the switch to electric, now seems to be a good time to do just that. Is Ford Stock a Good Buy Right Now? Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Hold consensus rating on F stock based on two Buys, 12 Holds and three Sells assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. After an 11.31% loss in its share price over the past year, the average F price target of $9.71 per share implies 17.89% downside risk.

How Much Range Do EVs Lose After 5 Years? Data Reveals Surprising Winners
"Roll up to a tailgate in 2025 and your five-year-old EV still reads 280 miles on the dash - no spring in your step lost". Today's mainstream packs fade only 1.8% - about a 9% total drop in five years - thanks to liquid cooling, smarter BMS balancing and tougher cell chemistries. How is your battery range after 5 years? Find your car below. Not everyone has kept up in this great levelling, though. Let's talk about the winners and losers. Back in EV's early days, five-year retention ranged from under 70% for early Leafs to over 90% on rare liquid-cooled prototypes. Now, the top 10 mainstream EVs all cluster between 87% and 94%. Geotab's analysis of 5,000+ EVs nails average fade at 1.8% - down from 2.3% half a decade ago. That uniformity isn't magic; it's the payoff of liquid-cooling loops, advanced cell balancing, and the slow march toward LFP and nickel-rich chemistries. At the summit, Audi's e-tron and the Jaguar I-Pace boast midpoints above 92%, proof that premium packs and active thermal management pay dividends. Tesla's Model 3, Ford's Mach-E and VW's ID.4 aren't far behind - hovering near 91–92% retention. Entry-level contenders like the Bolt EV and Kona Electric still muster around 89–90%, a solid showing given their price points. Contrast that with the Worst 10: early Leafs, i-MiEVs and first-gen conversions now languish in the mid-70s to low-80s, victims of air-cooled packs and minimal cell-monitoring. Expect that second-hand EV to have lost a good deal of its battery range; don't let the salesman argue that the battery holds its original range. Veteran EV owners treat charging like pit stops: maintain State of Charge between 20–80%, lean on Level 2 overnight, and dodge DC-fast-charge binges. That routine can reclaim 2–3% pack health over five years - enough to claw back 10–20 miles on your daily commute. Nissan's warranty-guaranteeing 80% capacity at five years - sets the floor; real-world LeafSpy data often show high-80s retention in mild climates. With the big thermal fixes in place, the next frontier is marginal: who resists 120 °F summer blasts? Which chemistry outlives the others at decade-old mileages? And how much will solid-state and silicon-enhanced cells narrow that remaining 1–2% gap? Related: 5 Game-Changing Batteries That Will Change Your Life Battery fade has gone from horror story to resolved footnote. Mainstream EVs now play in a tight pack - over 90% range left after five years - while yesterday's laggards fall far behind. When you shop your next Leaf, Bolt, Mach-E or Model 3, trust the data: charge smart, drive hard and let real-world numbers - not fear-mongering headlines - steer your choice.
