Kia India H1 2025 sales up 12.7% to 142,139 units
Kia India reported a 12.7 per cent year-on-year increase in vehicle dispatches for the first half of 2025, with 142,139 units sold between January and June, compared to 126,137 units in the same period last year. The company also exported 11,813 vehicles in H1 2025, maintaining overseas momentum for its Made-in-India products. Kia did not release monthly data for June 2025; hence, the H1 figures reflect the overall performance for the first half of the year. The company attributed part of its growth to the launch of the Carens Clavis, which it said has gained traction among buyers looking for vehicles with space, features, and safety. Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, said, 'The first half of 2025 has been encouraging for Kia India. Marked by steady growth despite industry-wide operational challenges, the response to our recently launched products, like the Carens Clavis has been great." "With our first Made-in-India EV launching this month, we are diversifying our product portfolio fortifying our long-term commitment to the evolving preferences of Indian customers. We are confident this launch will further increase our presence in the country's fast-transforming mobility landscape." Exports Kia's export volume of 11,813 units during H1 2025 reflects stable demand in global markets for its India-manufactured models. No comparative export figure for H1 2024 was provided.

Hyundai Celebrates 25 Years of Vehicle Exports from India, Surpasses 3.7 Million Units
Chennai – Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has reached a remarkable milestone, celebrating 25 years of vehicle exports from India. With over 3.7 million Made-in-India vehicles shipped to more than 150 countries, India now stands as Hyundai's largest export hub outside South Korea, reaffirming its global manufacturing and supply chain prowess. Since commencing exports in 1999, Hyundai's state-of-the-art production facility in Chennai has evolved into a strategic node in the company's international operations. In FY 2024–25 alone, the automaker exported over 1.63 lakh units, and it projects 7–8% growth in export volumes for FY 2025–26. The top export destinations for Hyundai from India include Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Mexico, Chile, and Peru, underscoring the brand's strong demand across emerging and mature global markets. The company's export portfolio is led by models such as the Creta, i20, and Grand i10. A key enabler of Hyundai's export success is its long-standing partnership with the Chennai Port, ensuring efficient global distribution and logistics. The company also continues to invest in technology, sustainability, and automation at its Indian plant to meet evolving global standards. Speaking on the occasion, Hyundai reiterated its commitment to 'Progress for Humanity,' focusing on sustainable mobility solutions, digital transformation, and enhanced customer experiences across the globe.
