Madhav Suresh reveals why he and father Suresh Gopi face so much ‘hate, trolling': ‘A lot of people don't like that he is a…'
The latest 'nepo kid' on the block, Madhav Suresh, son of renowned actor Suresh Gopi, recently addressed the relentless trolling and criticism that both he and his father face online. Madhav attributed the same to his father's political affiliation with the BJP. The youngster, nonetheless, stated that his father is not a loudmouth and never makes public statements without doing due research. 'A lot of people here don't like that my father is a BJP minister (Suresh Gopi currently serves as the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas as well as Tourism, after winning from the Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency). That's the most hate I get. My father is very opinionated and does his research before presenting his views. He stands by them, even if he gets trolled. That's because he has the spine for it. And those who hate him may not. I'm focused on what I'm learning and doing. I don't care about trolls or negativity,' Madhav said during a chat with a YouTube channel. Following in the footsteps of his father and elder brother, Gokul Suresh, Madhav Suresh made his film debut playing a key role in Kummattikali (2024). However, both the film and his performance were widely panned. Nevertheless, he soon landed another opportunity and got to play a significant role in the courtroom drama Janaki v/s State of Kerala (JSK), which features his father in the lead role. Embroiled in a controversy over its title and the name of the titular character, JSK is awaiting a release date. During the same interview, Madhav Suresh also shared that he recently bought a car on loan without any financial help from his father. He said, 'People asked if my father or I bought the car. It would've been better if it were my own money, they said. Well, it was. I took a loan. I have to work and repay it. What my father has saved is for his retirement or my sisters' weddings. If I fail, that's a fallback-but I want to build myself.' Since his first public appearance, Madhav Suresh has often faced backlash and trolling for his remarks and their tone, which many perceive as arrogant and entitled.
