11,188 women submitted petitions for Magalir Urimai Thogai in four days in Salem, says Minister
As many as 11,188 women had submitted petitions seeking Magalir Urimai Thogai in the special camps conducted under the Ungaludan Stalin scheme in the past four days in Salem, said Tourism Minister R. Rajendran on Tuesday (July 22, 2025). The Minister inspected the camp under way in a marriage hall at Ammapet in the city on Tuesday. He distributed welfare assistance to 17 persons based on their petitions. Mr. Rajendran told reporters that 432 special camps, including 168 in urban areas and 264 in rural areas, would be held till November 30 in the district. The Chief Minister had ordered that the issues mentioned in the petitions should be resolved within 45 days. In the special camps held in the district from July 15 to 18, a total of 11,188 petitions were submitted for Magalir Urimai Thogai and 9,840 petitions regarding other services, the Minister added. Stating that basic amenities were being provided for people coming to the camps, the Minister said the camps were held in Ammapet, Thalavaipatti, Tharamangalam municipality, Konganapuram town panchayat, Kolathur panchayat union, and Nangavalli panchayat union. In the camp held in Ammapet, seven persons received orders for drinking water connections, three for name change in property tax, and four received birth certificates, the Minister added. District Collector R. Brindha Devi and Corporation officials were also present during the Minister's inspection.

Ungaludan Stalin camps receive good response in Tiruchi
The special camps conducted under the Ungaludan Stalin initiative have been met with an enthusiastic response from the public in Tiruchi district, according to official sources. Many submitted petitions in the camps held across the district over the past week, availing government services and registering grievances with various departments. On the first day, seven camps were held across the district, receiving 3,254 petitions from residents. Of these, 966 petitions were collected from the two camps held within Corporation limits while 2,288 came from rural areas. In total, over 10,300 petitions were received from the camps conducted during the first week. Officials said a significant number of applications were by women seeking benefits under the Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme. 'The camps are receiving good response from the public, especially women. Over 2,000 petitions are being received per day,' said a senior official. Four dedicated counters have been set up to receive applications for the scheme's second phase. All petitions are being digitally registered to ensure transparency and effective follow-up. Officials have urged the public to make the most of this opportunity to resolve long-standing grievances. The camps bring together multiple government departments under one roof in each local body, aiming to address public petitions within 45 days of submission. In urban areas, 43 services are offered by 13 departments while rural areas benefit from 46 services across 15 departments. These include essential services, welfare schemes, documentation assistance, and other services. Inaugurated on July 15, the initiative will see around 120 camps held in Tiruchi district until August 14. This includes eight camps within Corporation limits, 19 in municipalities, 14 in town panchayats, and 79 in panchayat unions. Six camps are scheduled to be conducted daily from Tuesday to Friday. The first phase is expected to benefit over 3.97 lakh households. A total of 351 special camps are planned across the district up to November 14.

Good response to Ungaludan Stalin scheme in Salem: Minister Rajendran
Tourism Minister R. Rajendran said there was good response to Ungaludan Stalin scheme in Salem on Tuesday (July 15, 2025). The Minister inaugurated a special camp under the scheme at a marriage hall in the Suramangalam zone on Tuesday. He inspected the camp and provided welfare assistance based on the petitions submitted . The Minister also interacted with the people who came to the camp and explained the government schemes to them. Later, Minister Rajendran told reporters that 432 special camps, including 188 in urban areas and 264 in rural areas, will be conducted in Salem district. Along with this, medical camps will also be conducted. The petitions received in this camp will be addressed in 45 days. The response is good, especially from women submitting petitions seeking Magalir Urimai Thogai. Already people's grievances are being addressed through the Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme, he said. Denying the allegations made by former Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami that the scheme will be used to collect mobile numbers of the voters for the DMK's IT wing, the Minister said that there was no connection between this scheme and the political party. District Collector R. Brindha Devi, Salem Corporation Mayor A. Ramachandran, MLAs R. Arul and S. Sathasivam, Corporation Commissioner M. Elangovan and officials from departments concerned also participated. In Namakkal district, District Collector Durgamoorthi inaugurated the Ungaludan Stalin scheme's special camp at a community hall in Chinnamudalaipatti and distributed welfare assistance to the beneficiaries in the presence of Rajya Sabha member K.R.N. Rajeshkumar, MLA P. Ramalingam, and Corporation Mayor D. Kalanidhi.

334 camps to be held in Coimbatore district in four phases under ‘Ungaludan Stalin' initiative
1 2 Coimbatore: The district administration is planning to conduct 334 camps under the 'Ungaludan Stalin' initiative in four phases across the district. These camps would be organized between July 15 and October 31. District collector Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar on Saturday said 120 camps would be held in the first phase from July 15 to August 14. During a media briefing, the collector said 1,694 volunteers were roped in for distributing pamphlets containing details of 43 services offered at the camps by 13 govt departments. "The pamphlets have space for the residents to specify their required services. Volunteers will inform the public about the camp dates and venues. The camps will be held under the supervision of nodal officers." The collector said priority would be given to the Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme and other govt initiatives. "The public could directly apply for various govt schemes, as representatives from all departments will be present at the camps. Ration card-related issues will also be addressed. No application from the public would be rejected." Banners and posters with the camp dates and venues have, meanwhile, come up across the district. The state govt has issued instructions to process all applications received at the camps within 45 days. The camps would begin at 9.30am. Immediate rectifications, such as certificate applications through e-Sevai services or name corrections in electricity board records, could be done on the spot. As many as 96 camps would be conducted in the second phase from August 15 to September 14, another 96 in the third phase from September 15 to October 14 and the remaining 24 camps in the fourth and final phase from October 15 to 31. Of the total camps, 66 would be held in the city corporation limits, 80 in seven municipalities, 66 in 33 town panchayats, 102 in village panchayats and 22 in peri-urban areas.

334 ‘Ungaludan Stalin' camps to be held across Coimbatore district
A total of 334 special grievance redressal camps under the 'Ungaludan Stalin' initiative will be conducted across Coimbatore district between July 15 and October 31, District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar announced on Saturday. The camps aim to provide integrated access to government services and address public grievances at the local level. The camps will be held in four phases: 120 camps in the first phase (July 15–August 14), 96 in the second phase (August 15–September 14), another 96 in the third phase (September 15–October 14), and 24 in the final phase (October 15–31). Of the total camps, 66 will be conducted within Corporation limits, 80 in seven municipalities, 66 in 33 town panchayats, 102 in village panchayats, and 22 in peri-urban areas.
