"We are organising the procession of Teej on a large scale in Jaipur. A Maha Aarti will be organised in Chhoti Chaupar. Governor and CM are invited to this. He informed that the Rajasthan government has given direction to conduct audits of public buildings, including schools, to prevent such incidents from recurring. "Action will be taken against those found guilty. The issue is that we should assess all such schools and public buildings and conduct audits to prevent such incidents in the future. The Rajasthan government has directed the concerned authorities to conduct such audits of all government schools in the state," Shekhawat told ANI. The roof collapse happened at Piplodi Primary School in Jhalawar district on Friday morning. Following the incident, the Rajasthan government has decided to prioritise the repair of dilapidated school buildings, government institutions, and Anganwadi centres across the state. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced that the permissible allocation under the Dang, Magra, and Mewat Regional Development Plan for the repair of government institutions, including school buildings and Anganwadi centres, would be increased from 15 per cent to 20 per cent.

Jaipur set to celebrate Teej Yatra with tradition, technology, and grandeur

Organised annually, the Teej Mahotsav honours Teej Mata with a royal procession that begins at the historic Zenana Deodi and travels through Tripolia Bazaar, Chhoti Chaupar, Badi Chaupar, and Gangauri Bazaar before concluding at Talkatora. This year's yatra introduces several firsts, including a grand Maha Aarti at Chhoti Chaupar. To ensure greater accessibility, over 200 LED screens will be placed along the route, allowing people in crowded or distant areas to witness the event in real time. The procession will feature camels, bullock carts, decorated horse-drawn carriages, Rajasthani folk performers, musicians, and cultural troupes, transforming Jaipur's streets into a cultural spectacle. Bands from the police, jail, RAC, and the Sawai Maan Guard will also perform, lending a royal touch to the celebrations. In a move towards inclusivity, women's cultural groups have been invited to participate in performances along the route. Civic and tourism authorities are actively preparing for the event—trimming trees, repairing overhead wires, marking the entire route with lime, and enhancing sanitation in areas like Talkatora and Palka Bagh. Stray animal management and cleanliness drives are underway to ensure a smooth experience for attendees. City's iconic gate's—Sanganeri, Ajmeri, New, and Chandpole—will be lit up with special lighting arrangements. Adding to the festive atmosphere, a Craft and Food Bazaar at Pondrik Udyan near Talkatora will run from noon to 10 pm on both days, showcasing traditional Rajasthani cuisine, handicrafts, and live folk performances. With its rich cultural showcase and modern upgrades, this year's Teej Yatra is expected to offer a unique and immersive experience, celebrating Rajasthan's spirit in its most colourful and inclusive form.

Devotees Celebrate Bonala Festival with Special Puja at Uppuguda Temple
In a vibrant display of devotion, various temples hosted special pujas on the fourth day of the Bonala festival. The early morning commenced with Vedic scholars performing abhishekam for Goddess Mahankali, followed by the offering of Maha Naivedyam and Maha Aarti. Following these rituals, women devotees engaged in Sahasranamarachana and Laksha Kumkumarchana in honour of Goddess Lalitha Devi, continuing the festive spirit. At the Uppuguda Mahankali temple, DCP Sneha Mehra of the Dakshina Mandal participated in the special pujas. She was warmly welcomed by Temple President Janagama Madhusudhan Goud, who facilitated her darshan of the Goddess.

UP CM Yogi offers special prayers at Gorakhnath temple on Guru Purnima
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, who is also head of the Gorakshpeeth, on Thursday offered prayers at the Goraknath temple here on the occasion of Guru Purnima. The special Guru Purnima rituals commenced at the temple premises at 5 am wherein Yogi performed special ceremonial worship of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath, in accordance with the Nath Panth traditions. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Gorakhnath temple peethadheeshwar Yogi Adityanath performs aarti on the occasion of Guru Purnima, at Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur on July 10. The CM also paid homage to his guru, the late Mahant Avaidyanath, his grand-guru the late Mahant Digvijaynath, and other spiritual leaders of the Nath sect, expressing his deep gratitude for their guidance. Redress people's grievances swiftly: CM Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said grievance redressal must be both result-oriented and people-centric. The chief minister made the remarks at a Janata Darshan programme at the Gorakhnath temple where he met around 200 people and heard their problems and instructed officials to ensure quick and satisfactory resolution of all grievances. 'The satisfaction should be visible on the complainants' faces after their problems are resolved,' the CM said. Many people, including women, raised issues related to land disputes and illegal encroachments. The chief minister took serious note and directed officials to take swift and strict action. For those seeking financial assistance for treatment of serious illnesses, Yogi assured them that lack of money would not hinder anyone's medical care. He instructed the administration to expedite the preparation of cost estimates for patients concerned and submit them to the government immediately so that funds could be released without delay.

VVIT University celebrates Jagannath Rath Yatra
Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology (VVIT) University celebrated the Jagannath Rath Yatra with grandeur and spiritual fervour, drawing hundreds of devotees, students, and faculty to a vibrant procession, on Tuesday. The yatra began at the Sri Bhramaramba Malleswara Swamy temple in Pedakakani and concluded at VVIT University's campus in Namburu. VVIT chairman Vasireddy Vidyasagar flagged off the procession, which resonated with the chants of 'Jaya Jayahe Jai Jagannath' as devotees, students, and members of ISKCON, Mangalagiri, walked in unison. Residents of Gollamudi village greeted the procession with traditional 'arti' and floral offerings, adding cultural warmth to the event. Upon reaching the VVIT campus, ISKCON members performed a special puja and Maha Aarti, marking the culmination of the yatra.
