Police Reshuffle: Madane to Zone 3, Kadam new Traffic DCP

Nagpur: In a significant reshuffle, Zonal DCP Rahul Madane was shifted to head Zone 3, replacing Mahak Swami. Zone 3, covering sensitive areas like Kotwali, Ganeshpeth, and Tehsil police stations, also includes the RSS headquarters and Hedgewar Bhavan. Police commissioner Ravinder Singal also shifted DCP Nityanand Jha, recently transferred from Gondia, to replace Madane in Zone 2. Meanwhile, DCP Niketan Kadam was entrusted with the traffic wing, a role demanding dynamic oversight to manage Nagpur's bustling roads. DCP Singa Reddy steps into Zone 5, replacing Kadam, ensuring continuity in the zone's operations. In another key move, DCP Shashikant Satav will lead the Special Branch, filling the vacancy left by DCP Shweta Khedkar's transfer to Pimpri Chinchwad. The reshuffle aims to strengthen policing across Nagpur's critical zones and traffic management, aligning with the city's evolving security and mobility needs.
