The Traitors: Is Anshula Kapoor And Maheep Kapoor's Alliance About To End?
Till now Karan Kundrra, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia and Lakshmi Manchu have been eliminated from the show. The Traitors, the Karan Johar-hosted reality show, has finally begun and kept the audience on the edge of their seats with its unique gameplay and unexpected plot twists. Streaming on Amazon Prime Video, the show features a group of 20 celebrities competing as they navigate a series of challenges and betrayals. Hidden amongst the 'innocent' players are the 'traitors' who are out to hunt each night. After the first three episodes, viewers can already see cracks in the alliances, especially among the strongest duo, Anshula Kapoor and her 'chachi' Maheep Kapoor. Both of them are looking to fall apart since the latter accused her aunt of being a 'traitor.' Anshula, who had full faith in her chachi (aunt) Maheep in the first episode, is now questioning her decisions. In the third episode, Boney Kapoor's daughter confronted Maheep and said, 'I have a feeling it's you (traitor)," leaving her shocked. She added, 'You already knew that many people believe you are a traitor. The only reason I believe it is you is that you earlier said you are not going to let anyone kick me out of the competition until you are in it. How could you say it so confidently?" Explaining her statement, Maheep said, 'I packed my bags last night, knowing that I was going to be evicted today. The traitors understand that if I were one of them, I would never abandon you because I am your chachi. If I were a traitor, I wouldn't be dumb about it and tell you that you're safe. What do I care?" However, despite her clarification, Anshula appeared unconvinced and told her co-participants about Maheep's commitment to keeping her in the game and expressed her doubts that she could be a traitor. Apart from them, the remaining contestants on The Traitors include, Purav Jha, Mukesh Chhabra, Apoorva, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Nourouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Jasmine Bhasin, Nikita Luther, Raftaar, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala and Uorfi Javed. Karan Kundrra, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia and Lakshmi Manchu have been eliminated from the show. It will premiere new episodes every Thursday. view comments First Published: June 16, 2025, 18:29 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Anshula Kapoor: No issues between Maheep Chachi and me after The Traitors
Anshula Kapoor became the latest participant to be evicted from The Traitors (India). During the intense 'Circle of Shaq' round, her fellow contestants mistakenly identified her as a Traitor, leading to her exit from the game. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Reflecting on the experience, Anshula admits that being part of a game built on suspicion, deception, and strategy was anything but easy. She says, 'Yes, the game is unpredictable and all about mind games. It felt like living in a psychological thriller. You didn't know whether you were the plot twist, or if someone smiling too much at breakfast meant they knew who'd been murdered. You're constantly second-guessing yourself, debating whether to trust your gut, and at times, overthinking every micro-expression.' She continues, 'It's not a natural environment to be in. As human beings, we crave connection and trust. This game flips that on its head. I don't know if this experience has made me better at spotting deception in real life, because bhai, hum toh Traitors bhi baraabar se spot nahi kar paaye ! Half the time, we chased things we thought were red flags and were proven wrong.' Still, she says the experience has shown her something about her own strength. She says, 'I may not have become an expert at reading people, but I've realised I'm capable of putting myself in uncomfortable situations and coming out of them. That clarity is valuable.' One of the more talked-about dynamics on the show was her bond with her real-life aunt, , who was eliminated earlier in the season. Their relationship came under scrutiny when Anshula questioned Maheep's allegiance during the Circle of Shaq, prompting Maheep to wonder aloud how her niece could doubt her. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Setting the record straight, Anshula explains that a lot of what happened between them was misconstrued. 'What the audience saw was a one-hour edit from a 17-hour day, packed with conversations that couldn't make the cut. And because they brought an aunt-niece duo onto the show, of course they wanted to highlight that dynamic.' She adds, 'To Maheep Chachi's credit, she was clear from the beginning; this was a game, and we should treat it as one. There was no need to get emotional or overthink it. In fact, the question I asked her during the Circle of Shaq? We had discussed it earlier that same day. I told her I'd bring it up in front of everyone so she could defend herself, because people who stayed quiet were being targeted. At the end of the day, she is and always will be my Chachi. One game can't dent that. We didn't need to 'reflect' on that moment afterwards, because it wasn't really a moment. It was curated for drama. But both of us were there; we know what happened.' She concludes, 'I never even voted for her. I didn't believe she was a Traitor. The job of every innocent in the game is to question everyone, and that's what I did. I'm grateful to her for encouraging us to play the game for what it was, without adding emotional baggage. Our equation is exactly the same before, during, and after the show. This is literally not even an issue.'

‘The Traitors': Uorfi Javed and Sufi Motiwala call out Raftaar in a fiery clash; Maheep Kapoor gets voted out
Karan Johar 's thrilling reality show ' The Traitors ' is getting more intense with every episode. The fourth episode, which dropped on 19 June, brought in some big drama, sharp accusations, and a shocking elimination that left everyone speechless. Maheep Kapoor gets voted out As the Circle of Shaq sat down once again for another round of doubt and discussion, the focus shifted to Maheep Kapoor and Raftaar . Whispers and suspicions circled around both, but it was Maheep who faced the most heat. Raftaar explained why he suspected her, saying, 'Maheep is playing the game from the beginning and is trusted by many within the show.' Maheep, clearly fed up, defended herself by saying, 'I am done trying to defend myself. I've told everyone from the beginning that I am innocent.' But despite her explanation, Maheep received the most votes and was eliminated from the game. Moments later, it was revealed that she was actually innocent, shocking everyone around the table. Before Maheep's exit, Mukesh Chhabra had been murdered in the game. Uorfi vs Raftaar: The fight everyone's talking about One of the most talked-about moments in this episode was the loud and fiery clash between Uorfi Javed and Raftaar. The two pointed fingers at each other and got into a full-blown argument in front of everyone. Uorfi, furious at being suspected, shouted, 'Raftaar pagal ho gaya hai, baukhla gaya hai (He has gone mad).' To prove her innocence, she made a bold promise: 'I'm not the traitor. If I turn out to be the traitor, I'll shave my head.' Raftaar hit back just as strongly, saying, 'If I turn out to be the traitor, I will stop rapping.' The heated exchange left the rest of the group stunned, unsure who to believe. Sufi jumps in and calls out Raftaar Adding more drama to the moment, Sufi Motiwala didn't stay silent. He pointed fingers at Raftaar and accused him of behaving like a traitor. Sufi said, 'He is scared and giving away that he is a Traitor! Dude, he is spiralling, he has lost it.' With Sufi backing Uorfi and both standing against Raftaar, the tension at the round table reached a whole new level. The group had to decide who was bluffing and who was breaking under pressure. Another one bites the dust Maheep Kapoor's elimination followed the earlier exits of Lakshmi Manchu, Raj Kundra, and Sahil Salathia . All of them turned out to be innocent as well. The faithfuls are dropping fast, and the traitors are still very much in the game. So far, no one has guessed that Purav and Elnaaz are the traitors. Their clever moves and quiet gameplay have kept them safe, for now. Who's still in the game? After four dramatic episodes, these are the contestants still in the running, Purav Jha, Harsh Gujral, Ashish G Vidyarthi, Apoorva aka Rebel Kid, Uorfi Javed, Jasmine Bhasin, Raftaar, Elnaaz Norouzi, Nikita Luther, Anshula Kapoor, Janvi Gaur, Jannat Zubair , Sudhanshu Pandey, and Sufi Motiwala. Anshula Kapoor accuses ‘chachi' Maheep Kapoor of being a ‘traitor' as familial bond weakens on Karan Johar's show: ‘If I was a traitor, I wouldn't be dumb about it'
Karan Johar's new reality show The Traitors is streaming on Amazon Prime Video, and the contestants have already eliminated a couple of suspected traitors – including Raj Kundra. The way the game works is that the 'Innocents' have to identify the 'Traitors' and vote them out of the house. After three episodes, there are already some cracks in the alliances and one of the strongest teams on the show, that of Maheep Kapoor and her niece Anshula, is starting to fall apart. Spoilers ahead By the third episode, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, and Lakshmi Manchu are already eliminated from the game. Two have been 'murdered' by the 'traitors' and one was eliminated by 'innocents'. Anshula, who showed blind faith in her chachi (aunt) Maheep in the first episode, is visibly questioning her choices. In the third episode, Anshula was vocal about her mistrust towards Maheep and said, 'I have a feeling it's you (traitor).' She added, 'You already know that a lot of people think you are the traitor. The only reason why I think it's you is because you told me earlier that until you are in the competition, you won't let anyone kick me out. I mean, how could you say that with so much confidence?' She said, 'Last night I packed my bags, and I knew that people were going to evict me today. The traitors know that if I were one of them, I would never let go of you because I am your chachi. If I were a traitor, I wouldn't be dumb about it and tell you that you're safe. What do I care?' Even though the internal dispute seems to be resolved, it reignites itself during the 'circle of shaq' where all contestants vote out a 'traitor' based on their suspicion. Here too, Anshula brought up her mistrust towards Maheep and recalled the same conversation. Maheep, again, clarified her stance but Anshula appeared unconvinced. Anshula told everyone about Maheep's commitment of keeping her in the game and expresseed her doubts that Maheep might be a traitor. However, during the voting, she supported Maheep and voted against Karan Kundrra, who was then eliminated. The show has already revealed the 'traitors' and Maheep isn't one of them so far. Hosted by Karan Johar, The Traitors was released on Prime Video on June 12, and the makers will be dropping new episodes every Thursday.
