Celebrity reactions to split Diddy verdict: ‘I'm gonna vomit'
Sean 'Diddy' Combs was convicted yesterday of a prostitution-related offense but acquitted of more serious counts that could have put him behind bars for life. Combs, 55, could still face a maximum of 10 years in prison. He was denied bail after being convicted, as prosecutors said Combs remains a flight risk. A hearing has been set by the judge for 8 July to discuss the sentencing process. The verdict has drawn divided reactions by his fellow celebrities. 'Oh, this makes me physically ill,' said singer Aubrey O'Day, formerly of the music group Danity Kane, on her Instagram story as she watched the verdicts come in. "Cassie probably feels so horrible. I'm gonna vomit.' Danity Kane formed on Combs' MTV reality television program 'Making the Band' and signed to his Bad Boy Records. O'Day posted a separate statement: 'The cultural weight of this decision is immeasurable. It is heartbreaking to witness how many lives have been impacted by their experiences with Sean Combs - only for those stories to fall short in the eyes of a jury." She added: "I can only hope these jurors never have to watch someone they love endure what so many survivors have described.' Une publication partagée par Rosie O'Donnell (@rosie) 'I guess a jury just never wants to believe that a woman stays because of power and coercion, wow,' wrote actress Rosie O'Donnell on Instagram. 'This decision got me angry.' Grammy-nominated singer Kesha posted the following in solitary with Cassie Ventura, Combs ex-girlfriend who testified as a witness: 'Cassie, I believe you. I love you. Your strength is a beacon for every survivor.' Kesha had previously announced that she was changing the lyric in her 2010 hit 'TiK ToK' to 'fuck P. Diddy' from the original 'feeling like P. Diddy' after the multiple allegations of sexual misconduct were leveled against Combs. Elsewhere, rapper 50 Cent, who has been a vocal critic of Combs and previously said that he would reach out to Donald Trump to prevent a Diddy pardon, posted: "Diddy beat the (RICO charge), that boy a bad man !" alongside an artificial intelligence-generated photo of himself. He also mocked Diddy and compared him to mobster John Gotti. Une publication partagée par 50 Cent (@50cent) Conversely, rapper Boosie BadAzz said in an Instagram video captioned 'GREAT DAY N HIP HOP" that the courts had spoken. 'I'm tired of seeing us Black moguls get took down like that," he said. He added that he was "tired of seeing us Black people go against us Black moguls like that.' Also on Diddy's side where some crowds outside the courthouse. Some of Combs' fans expressed enthusiasm by covering themselves in baby oil, a controversial item referenced throughout the sex-crimes case. Thousands of bottles of baby oil and lubricant were among the paraphernalia discovered during the federal raids of Combs' homes in March 2024. In one crass celebration, a woman danced around while a man poured baby oil on her – a tasteless homage to an activity at Combs' so-called 'freak-offs' and 'hotel nights.' However, the general consensus online is one of dismay. "The verdict for Diddy is a message to all women that they are not believed. Sorry to the women out there," wrote an X user. "The victims especially, they deserved better."

'I'm gonna vomit': Celebs react to Sean 'Diddy' Combs verdict
Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who pleaded not guilty to all the charges, was acquitted of the sex trafficking and racketeering charges and convicted for prostitution charges. Photo: TNS Danity Kane's Aubrey O'Day and Dawn Richard reacted Wednesday to the verdict in the Sean 'Diddy' Combs' sex trafficking and racketeering case, as the music mogul was only found guilty for the lesser two counts of the five felonies with which he was charged. Combs, who pleaded not guilty to all the charges, was acquitted of the sex trafficking and racketeering charges and convicted for prostitution charges. After the verdict was announced, O'Day, one of Combs' former artistes of music group Danity Kane, took to Instagram to share that she's so devastated she wanted to 'vomit.' 'Oh my God, not guilty on Cassie, not guilty on Rico, no way that Jane is gonna be guilty,' she said on her Instagram stories while filming news coverage of the verdict. 'This makes me physically ill. Cassie probably feels so horrible. Ugh, I'm gonna vomit.' Ahead to the trial, O'Day consistently voiced her support for the victims including Combs' ex girlfriend Cassie Ventura. 'The bravery is unmeasurable right now, especially eight months, eight and a half months pregnant, and it's triggering,' O'Day said on an episode of the Amy & T.J . podcast. The 41-year-old artiste was reportedly subpoenaed to testify in the trial, but ultimately did not take the stand. However, her bandmate Dawn Richard, who did testify against her former boss in court, called his partial acquittal a 'disappointment.' 'Today's split verdict is a disappointment, but the criminal charges are different than the civil claims we filed and have been fighting against Sean Combs,' she said in a statement via her attorney Lisa Bloom. Back in September of 2024, the former Danity Kane member sued Combs for sexual assault and battery. Bloom added that the musician promises to 'continue to aggressively fight our case until we obtain full and complete justice.' In May, Richard testified that she witnessed Diddy hit Cassie with a hot skillet. 'He came over to the skillet with the eggs in it and tried to hit her over the head, and she fell to the ground,' Richard said on the stand. In 2005, Diddy formed Danity Kane on MTV's 'Making the Band' before the group broke up for good in 2014. Celebs such as actress Rosie O'Donnell and rapper 50 Cent also chimed in. 'I guess a jury just never wants to believe that a woman stays because of power and coercion, wow,' wrote O'Donnell on Instagram. 'This decision got me angry.' 'Diddy beat the Feds that boy a bad man!' 50 Cent wrote on Instagram. 50 Cent has been a vocal critic of Combs, whom he has long beefed with — going back to his Diddy diss track The Bomb , released in 2006. He is expected to release a docuseries on Netflix about the allegations against Combs. Meanwhile, Boosie BadAzz said in an Instagram video captioned 'GREAT DAY N HIP HOP' that the courts had spoken. 'I'm tired of seeing us Black moguls get took down like that,' the rapper said. He added that he was 'tired of seeing us Black people go against us Black moguls like that.' – Agencies

All of Diddy's lawsuits and sex abuse claims, explained
Despite the conclusion of Sean "Diddy" Combs' criminal sex-crimes trial, there's still a mountain of civil lawsuits awaiting him in courts from coast to coast. Diddy's excess-driven lifestyle has been a signature component of his persona and central to his downfall in the public eye. On July 2, he was found not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking – and guilty of the lesser transportation to engage in prostitution charges in his federal sex-crimes trial. Many of the following alleged victims recall being given spiked drinks at his purportedly self-indulgent bashes, including his infamous White Parties, alleged hotel "freak offs" as well as what should have been professional settings. Incidents allegedly took place during auditions for his artists' music videos and for his MTV reality series "Making the Band." Other accusers say Combs recorded the alleged assaults and shared the videos with others. The alleged victims range from children and teens to adults, seemingly in Combs' orbit by happenstance, or young men and women who sought to make inroads in the music industry, seeing association with the Bad Boy record executive as an opportunity to pursue their dreams, apparently quickly shattered. Others include short-term and long-term romantic partners. Combs' alleged abuse of his partners may go as far back as his days at Howard University, when a fellow student recalled him beating a woman. Years later, his relationships with singer Casandra "Cassie" Ventura Fine, a woman anonymously identified in court as "Jane" and actress Kat Pasion may also show patterns of alleged abuse. Along with Cassie and Jane, a third woman, a former personal assistant identified anonymously as "Mia," testified about Combs' sexual abuse during his federal trial. Other witnesses spoke of the producer being physically violent toward them during the nearly seven weeks of testimony. Diddy has long denied sexual assault allegations Aside from an apology video following the release of security footage in which Combs is seen beating Cassie, the music mogul has denied all of the allegations and claimed the video has been altered to make it appear more violent. Despite this, the graphic footage was shown in full to jurors in his criminal trial. To date, at least 80 lawsuits have been filed against Combs. In October, Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee announced he would represent 120 individual accusers. Alleged victims represented by Buzbee now account for about half of the lawsuits filed so far. Here is a complete (and developing) list of his accusers. Cassie, Dawn Richard, actress Kat Pasion among alleged Diddy victims The following is a list of the people who have publicly accused Combs, from the first lawsuit filed by Cassie in November 2023 – which kicked off his federal investigation – to the most recent suit in June 2025. The abuse is alleged to have taken place as early as 1991.
