Baltimore WR is one of six Ravens to land on the CFL Negotiation List

Baltimore is just days from the start of training camp, but has six current Ravens on the negotiating rights list for a potential career shift if things don't work out in the NFL. Canada, often referred to as "The Great White North," has been the alternative route for American football players seeking to fulfill their dream of playing professional football, while holding onto the dream of playing in the NFL. The CFL has unveiled the latest edition of the Canadian Football League's Negotiation List, which was officially released this past week. The list documents a vast pool of players—whether they're unsigned or currently playing in the NFL, another professional league, or college—who are eligible to be rostered by one of the CFL's nine teams. Rams Weapon Turns Heads by Working Out With Lamar Jackson

Rams Weapon Turns Heads by Working Out With Lamar Jackson originally appeared on Athlon Sports. One member of the Los Angeles Rams is taking his speed workouts seriously ahead of the 2025 season. By running with Lamar Jackson. Advertisement Tutu Atwell went viral Tuesday for doing a hill workout. The Rams veteran wide receiver is seen sprinting at an incline angle, all in the attempt to build up his speed by going uphill. Atwell wasn't alone in this workout either. He was joined by the two-time NFL Most Valuable Player Jackson, plus his Baltimore Ravens teammate Zay Flowers. The trio was even joined by one other speed option in Malik Cunningham -- who replaced Jackson at quarterback for Louisville and is now playing WR for Jackson. Is this, perhaps, implying Atwell's next possible landing spot? Some fans likely will speculate that Atwell could become interested in joining the Ravens in the future -- since he's the only Rams representative in this workout. The 5-foot-9 WR played at Louisville from 2018-2020. He even led the Atlantic Coast Conference with 1,276 yards in the '19 campaign. Atwell and Jackson both share a South Florida connection -- as both are Miami natives. Advertisement Jackson never threw the football to Atwell during his UL years. But Cunningham did. Cunningham spent 2018-2022 as the Cardinals' next big dual-threat passer. Cunningham produced 22 and 20 touchdowns in 2019 and 2020, respectively, with Atwell as one of his go-to targets. Flowers played for ACC rival Boston College. However, he's another South Florida talent as a Fort Lauderdale resident. Atwell still enters a crucial 2025 campaign with the Rams. He's gradually improved his numbers each season since coming into the league in '21. Including catching a career-best 42 passes last season. But he didn't score a touchdown in '24. Advertisement He re-signed on a one-year deal. A breakout '25 could mean a higher paycheck even if it's not from the Rams. One player on the Ravens roster bubble at each offensive position following OTAs

AI-assisted summary Wide receiver Malik Cunningham and tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden face tough competition for roster spots. Offensive lineman Ben Cleveland's position is uncertain with the addition of three drafted players. Baltimore is loaded on the offensive side of the football, and GM Eric DeCosta knowingly chose to restock the defense with the organization's first two NFL draft picks. The Ravens are cruising through the off-season workout program and have a looming two-day mandatory mini-camp scheduled before the team takes a five-week break before returning for the mid-July training camp. There are a couple of positions with competitions scheduled, and we're taking an early look at one player on the roster bubble at each offensive position. QB --Devin Leary Baltimore didn't select a quarterback in the NFL draft and signed no signal callers in the undrafted free agent class. The Ravens have an MVP as QB1 and a solid backup in Cooper Rush. Baltimore did select a quarterback in last year's NFL Draft, Devin Leary, out of Kentucky in the sixth round, but it didn't work out too well. Leary was cut in the preseason and then signed to the practice squad. If the Ravens carry two quarterbacks on the roster, Leary could be released and signed to the practice squad again. RB Rasheen Ali Baltimore didn't draft a running back and only has four players on the roster at the position. Henry is an All-Pro, Justice Hill is a solid No. 2 running back, and Keaton Mitchell provides a home run threat. Ali needs a strong training camp to warrant the Ravens carrying three running backs. Former Monmouth running back Sone Ntoh is an undrafted free agent to watch. WR Malik Cunningham Baltimore has ten wide receivers on the roster after selecting Colorado's LaJohntay Wester in Round 6. Cunningham is the only player in the position who is not a natural wide receiver but offers special-teams abilities. Cunningham needs an intense training camp to warrant a roster spot over Dayton Wade, Anthony Miller, and Keith Kirkwood. TE Zaire Mitchell-Paden Baltimore has a big three at the tight end position, and two of the top players in the league. Charlie Kolar is the clear No. 3, making things difficult for Mitchell-Paden. OL Ben Cleveland The Baltimore Ravens retained one of their key free agents, re-signing Ben Cleveland. Cleveland saw action in all 17 regular-season games as a backup at left guard, plus both playoff contests. The 2021 third-round pick finished the final year of his rookie deal and had no major suitors on the open market. Baltimore added three players to the NFL draft and has solid depth in key positions. Cleveland could be the odd man out if Emery Jones, Carson Vinson, or Garrett Dellinger established themselves at the offensive guard position.
