The chain announced the limited-time offer on Friday, along with the upcoming launch of its summer Blizzard menu. This season, Dairy Queen will add two new flavors to the menu. "For 85 years, we have been serving up smiles, sweet traditions and the most iconic frozen treats around. We figured what better way to celebrate this milestone than by giving our fans even more reason to indulge in their favorite flavors by offering them an 85-cent Blizzard,' said Maria Hokanson, executive vice president of marketing at Dairy Queen, in the news release. "And because no birthday is complete without cake and sprinkles, we're bringing back the Confetti Cake Blizzard Treat for a limited time. So don't wait — this is a sweet celebration you won't want to miss." Here's what to know. An 85-cent small Blizzard is available now through April 6. DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dairy Queen is getting ready to celebrate its 85th birthday with a sweet deal for reward members. From March 24 to April 6, select Dairy Queen locations will offer small Blizzards for just 85 cents. Customers can receive the offer by using the DQ Rewards app, redeeming the offer and making at least a $1 minimum purchase. Maria Hokanson, executive vice president of marketing at American Dairy Queen Corporation, said the company wants its fans to celebrate with discounted fan favorites. 'For 85 years, we have been serving up smiles, sweet traditions and the most iconic frozen treats around,' said Hokanson. 'We figured what better way to celebrate this milestone than by giving our fans even more reason to indulge in their favorite flavors by offering them an 85-cent Blizzard.' There's no celebration for the first day of spring quite like Dairy Queen's annual Free Cone Day. The fast food chain is kicking off the season by offering customers one free small vanilla cone. The special is available Thursday, March 20 only at participating locations, while supplies last. There is a limit of one per customer.
