Dan Kearney: Championship exit shouldn't detract from positive year for Kerry ladies
Overall, 2025 has to go down as a successful year for the Kerry team. Since Mark Bourke took over as manager last November Kerry have played 17 games and lost only three Kerryman Today at 01:30 Semi-finals are the worst ones to lose. It's a cliché at this stage but still so true. It is no consolation for the Kerry ladies football team that they were beaten by a better team in Saturday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final. Kerry ladies manager says Meath were ‘hungrier team' as Kingdom relinquish All-Ireland crown
Mark Bourke: 'I'm very happy with the year. You play these games knowing that you could go in to lose. But did you do your best? Did everyone do their best? Did everyone buy in? Everyone bought in. Everyone did their best' TG4 flashed up an image of Kerry manager Mark Bourke during the game and it looked that all he needed was a pipe and a pair of slippers, such was the laid back way he was watching the game. That's what you get with the Kerry manager. He doesn't get too excited when his team wins and he's philosophical when they don't. In Bourke's eyes there is always another day. Although acutely disappointed, that was his mantra after Kerry were dethroned as All-Ireland champions after a 2-12 to 1-9 loss to Meath in Saturday's All-Ireland semi-final.

Kerry ladies manager Bourke: ‘We'll see can we bring it from the first whistle instead of the second the next day'
Kerry trailed Cork by six points at half time in their All-Ireland SFC Group 2 game, but turned it around to win by seven points. Keryr manager Mark Bourke said: 'The girls fixed it themselves' Kerryman 'May I have your attention, please? Will the real Slim Shady please stand up? I repeat. Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?' It's doubtful that Eminem or his alter-ego, Slim Shady, has ever seen the Kerry ladies footballers, but if American rapper Marshall Bruce Mathers III was in Pairc Uí Chaoimh he might have been minded to ask, which Kerry team is the real deal?
