Port Dickson police destroy RM1 mln in seized items
PORT DICKSON: The Port Dickson District Police Headquarters destroyed seized items worth nearly RM1 million, including bitcoin mining machines, illegal cigarettes, alcohol, gambling equipment, and electrical appliances. The disposal followed the completion of 194 investigation papers from 2020 to July 2025. Port Dickson police chief Supt Maslan Udin said the bitcoin mining machines were dismantled manually, while the contraband cigarettes were incinerated in a combustion chamber. The disposal was conducted at the IPD compound under the supervision of Pandamaran Jaya Motor, Port Klang, a company appointed by the Housing and Local Government Ministry to manage solid waste disposal under the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Act 2007. Maslan emphasized that the process reflects the police's commitment to transparency and public trust. 'The disposal ensures no compromise in handling case items,' he told reporters. PORT DICKSON, July 17 (Bernama) -- The Port Dickson District Police Headquarters (IPD) today disposed of various seized items, including bitcoin mining machines, contraband cigarettes and alcohol, gambling equipment, and electrical appliances, worth a total of RM999,300. Port Dickson police chief Supt Maslan Udin said the disposal involved 194 investigation papers that were completed between 2020 and July 2025. 'The bitcoin machines are dismantled manually, while the contraband cigarettes will be incinerated in a combustion chamber,' he told reporters during the disposal exercise at the IPD compound today.

Teen dies after trying to cut in front of fellow motorcyclist

(Bernama pic) PETALING JAYA : A teenage motorcyclist was killed at Km23.6 of the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway this morning after grazing another motorcycle he was trying to overtake. Port Dickson police chief Maslan Udin said the incident happened at 7.45am when the 19-year-old motorcyclist tried to cut in front of another motorcyclist, a 32-year-old soldier. 'Both riders were headed to Port Dickson from Seremban. 'The teenage rider had tried to cut in front of the soldier, causing both of them to lose control of their motorcycles and crash. 'The victim died at the scene while the soldier suffered injuries to his knee and arm,' Berita Harian quoted him as saying.. The case is being investigated for causing death by reckless driving.

Woman falls to death from 8th floor of PD hotel

PETALING JAYA : A 26-year-old woman was found dead after a fall from the eighth floor of a hotel in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, yesterday. Port Dickson fire and rescue department chief Kamal Timar said they were alerted to the incident at around 6.30pm. 'The victim is believed to have fallen (from the eighth floor) onto a balcony on the first floor of the hotel,' he said, according to Sinar Harian. The victim was declared dead by medical officers and the case has been handed to the police for further investigation. Port Dickson police chief Maslan Udin confirmed the incident report and said their investigation was still in the early stages. Woman dies after falling from eighth floor of Port Dickson hotel, says Fire Dept
PORT DICKSON, June 26 — A 26-year-old woman reportedly died after falling from the eighth floor of a hotel here yesterday. According to Sinar Harian, Port Dickson Fire and Rescue Station chief Senior Fire Superintendent Mohd Kamal Mohd Timar said the department received a report on the incident at around 6.30pm. 'The victim is believed to have fallen onto a balcony on the first floor of the hotel,' he was quoted as saying. A Health Ministry medical officer later confirmed the victim was dead. 'The case has been handed over to the police for further investigation,' Mohd Kamal reportedly added. Meanwhile, Port Dickson police chief Superintendent Maslan Udin confirmed receiving a report on the incident. 'We have just begun our investigation. At this time, I am unable to share further details,' he was quoted as saying.
