‘90s country star's teeth fall out on stage: ‘The show must go on'
1990s country music icon LeAnn Rimes decided to get real with her fans about an experience she found hugely embarrassing. 'OK, so we're going to do a little story time about how the show must go on,' Rimes begins in a TikTok video posted this week. The 42-year-old star, who got started in country music at just the age of 13, reminded fans that she has had multiple dental surgeries and that she has a bridge in the front. 'Last night I was on stage in the middle of 'One Way Ticket' when something popped in my mouth,' she said of a show she was performing in Bow, Washington, at Skagit Valley Casino and Resort. 'And it fell out in the middle of my song last night.' The 'How Do I Live' singer said her first reaction was to panic. She ran to the side of the stage and popped the bridge back into her mouth. 'I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening or else I would have had to walk off stage.' For the rest of the show, she said she was pushing her teeth back in every few lines, and she said she never before realized how many 'ff,' 'th' and 'sh' sounds are in her music before. 'That was the most epic experience ever. I don't usually have firsts in my career,' she said. 'That was a first and hopefully a last.' Rimes is an international multi-platinum selling singer, who has sold nearly 50 million albums and won two Grammy Awards — one of which she won at the age of 14 — and more than a dozen other awards. Rimes said she hoped that others would draw strength from her story and understand that the show can go on, even in the face of 'sheer, utter embarrassment.' 'And you know what, just like I said, there wasn't a (expletive) thing I could do about it, except either walk off or just hold my teeth in. So I just ran with it.' ‘Right place, right time': Post Malone pays for others' drinks at Boston bar
It's somewhat serendipitous that one of Heleena Norvette's favorite Post Malone songs is 'Pour Me a Drink' because the global superstar paid for hers during her birthday festivities last weekend. Norvette was celebrating her 41st birthday when Post Malone covered her tab — and everyone else's — while the 'Circles' singer grabbed a drink at Blind Duck at Raffles Hotel in Boston on Friday night, May 30. 'We couldn't believe that a star like him of his magnitude was in just by himself really at the Raffles,' the finance manager and socialite told MassLive. 'We just happened to be at the right place at the right time.' The 'Sunflower' singer 'stood out like a sore thumb' because of his signature tattoos and cowboy hat. 'He was with one other guy. It wasn't like he had a ton of security or entourage with him or anything,' Norvette said. She added that Malone was 'willing to take photos with people,' but she and her friend decided to play it cool and tried not 'to be a groupie' despite Norvette being a big fan. Malone's kindness was exemplified when Norvette got her bill, which the 'Better Now' singer had already paid for. He did the same for the other 10 people who were in the bar during the short span of time that Malone was there. 'You hear some celebs are real a**holes and then some are amazing and you just never know,' Norvete said. 'But he was being so nice and cordial to everybody and it showed when he cleared the bill for everyone.' Norvette added how Malone paying for her birthday drink was 'such a great start to my new year.' Country music star falls off stage with beer in hand, keeps on singing
Post Malone didn't let an off-stage tumble get in the way of his performance. The country music singer kept singing his hit song 'Pour Me a Drink' at his June 21 show at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona despite falling off stage with a beer in hand. In a recent TikTok. Post Malones goes to cheers with the fan holding up her cup in the video. The singer, however, hit the ground following the attempt. 'I didn't mean to almost break your back,' the video reads. 'I am SO sorry Austin. I love you,' the video's caption reads. 'Such an amazing show.' The fan later posted another TikTok updating followers on Malone's condition. The former Beatle revealed his top three albums in a recent installment of his segment 'You Know The Answer,' in which McCartney responds to one question from a fan. The answers are then posted on his website. For the June 25 installment, a fan asked the legendary musician, 'Are there any albums that take you back to certain periods in your life? And does performing your own music evoke similar memories?' McCartney responded with, 'Yeah, definitely. My favourite albums by other people tend to be: Music from Big Pink by The Band, Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys, and Harvest by Neil Young. 1 killed in Beverly plane crash Thursday morning
Editor's note: This story was updated at 10:38 a.m. on June 19 with further information on the plane crash. One person was killed and another person was hurt after a small plane crashed on the roadway in Beverly on Thursday morning. The plane crashed at around 7:45 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The plane was a Mooney M20, and two people were aboard at the time. The fatal crash happened next to Beverly Regional Airport, near 106 Sam Fonzo Dr., according to reports from WCVB and 7News. The small plane came to a rest on the industrial park roadway against a utility pole, and debris was spread through the trees and across the street. One person was dead at the scene — trapped inside the plane — and another was brought to the hospital, the outlets said. The incident is under investigation by troopers with the Essex County District Attorney's office, along with the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). The Beverly police and fire departments and Massport did not immediately respond to MassLive for comment.
