Devout Christian WAG announces she is expecting second baby just days before her NRL star husband Max King is set to play in Origin decider

NRL WAG Christy Young has revealed she is pregnant with her second child. The glamorous brunette, 26, made the announcement on Instagram, posting a heartwarming photo cradling her one-year-old son Hercules, who was adorably holding up a strip of ultrasound images. 'Here we grow again,' Christy wrote in the caption, adding, 'Our baby girl coming December,' alongside baby and pink heart emojis. The couple, who are both devout Christians, welcomed their first child, Hercules Maxwell King, in June last year. The news comes just days before her husband, Canterbury Bulldogs star Max King, is set to take the field in the highly anticipated State of Origin decider. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Max and Christy originally announced they were expecting their first baby back in December 2023, with Christy sharing a sweet video surprising her husband with a positive pregnancy test. The emotional clip also showed the couple embracing and revealing the news to family, with the caption: 'Baby King coming 2024.' In one scene, Christy proudly showed off her baby bump while holding up a set of ultrasound scans, marking the beginning of their parenting journey. When baby Hercules arrived, the proud parents took to Instagram again to share the joyous news with fans. 'Introducing Hercules Maxwell King,' they captioned a series of sweet snaps, including a mirror selfie of Christy holding their newborn and several tender moments captured shortly after his birth. The young couple tied the knot in October 2023 at Sydney's lavish Curzon Hall, surrounded by family and friends. Their wedding made headlines not only for its grandeur but also for their firm commitment to faith, which played a central role in their relationship. Max and Christy famously abstained from sex throughout their engagement, a decision they say strengthened their emotional bond. 'We are so loud and proud about our faith… it's never been something we've shied away from because it is so important to us,' Christy told 2DayFM's Hughesy, Ed and Erin in March last year. 'We spoke about it [remaining celibate] early on… on the first or second date,' she explained. 'Christian dating 101 is you're not wasting anyone's time. It's a conversation we didn't shy away from and honestly we've seen such fruit from it in our relationship in terms of communication… it's just so good.' Christy also spoke about how the couple met at church, revealing she was initially hesitant to date Max because of his NRL career. 'When I met him I was like, 'Oh you're a footy player - red flag. What have I got myself into?' she laughed, adding that it was their pastor who ended up setting them up. 'We met at church. I was living on the Gold Coast and he was sitting in front of me… we didn't talk that day but the pastor set us up. If you want a good guy, find him in church.' She revealed Max's teammates were shocked to learn about their choice to remain celibate until marriage, with some struggling to believe it. 'For sure [his teammates are supportive]… but when we first started dating they were like, 'As if you guys are [abstaining from sex].' Christy said their spiritual foundation has helped Max on and off the field. 'When it [sex] isn't the forefront of everything, it's like we've just been able to have such good conversations and build on our relationship, and we have such a good support system for each other.' 'It [celibacy] does help his game, in that it's just that we have such a good foundation in our relationship.' Christy said she feels incredibly lucky to have met Max. 'I feel so blessed to have met Max… we are the puzzle pieces that fit together and it's all down to God.'

Outlander star Nell Hudson is married! Pregnant actress and producer husband have intimate lake-side wedding ceremony ahead of first child's arrival

Outlander star Nell Hudson has married her long-term partner in an intimate wedding ceremony as they prepare to welcome their first child together. The actress, 34, best known for playing Laoghaire MacKenzie in the hit historical drama series, took to Instagram on Friday to post a sweet photo of her and new husband Max King - brother of celebrity hair stylist Larry King. Nell wore a ruffled white gown with delicate tulle sleeves and a dramatic tiered A-line skirt. With one hand resting gently on her bump, the bride looks every inch the glowing mum-to-be. Her husband Max - a producer - stood proudly beside her in a classic black double-breasted suit and silver tie. She captioned the post: 'First little look at some wedding pics ❤️ what can I say that hasn't ever been said it really was the best day ever. More to come soon.' It comes just three months after Nell revealed that she and Max were planning a 'very tiny family-only wedding before the baby comes'. 'I feel so lucky that my future brother-in-law Larry King will be there and helping me on the day.' The couple announced their engagement in March last year while on a romantic getaway in Paris, with a photo of them smiling in front of the Eiffel Tower. Friday's post included credits for her glam team, with makeup by Devon Windsor (@devonmakeupgirl) and hair styled by her new brother-in-law - of course - using luxury clip-in extensions by Tatiana Karelina. Nell, who has also appeared in ITV's Victoria and Channel 4's The Irregulars, has been delighting fans with candid pregnancy updates since announcing her baby news last year. In one post, she joked about trying to squeeze into her favourite wardrobe pieces at five months pregnant, while another video offered a behind-the-scenes look at her bridal hair trial. Her Outlander co-stars, including Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, have been among those sending warm wishes. Sam commented on her engagement post at the time, writing: 'Congrats you two!!' while Lauren Lyle and others flooded her latest wedding picture with heart emojis and congratulations. The wedding marks a joyful new chapter for Nell and Max as they prepare to welcome their first child together later this year. 'Beautiful! Congratulations!' wrote Downton Abbey star Joanna Frogatt. Romany Gilmour - daughter of Pink Floyd guitarist David - added: 'You're both completely gorgeous!' Nell, whose mother is the author Cressida Connolly - ex-wife of the late A.A. Gill - kept the tone light and full of heart in her announcement, calling celebrity hairdresser King her 'new BRO'.

NSW State of Origin star Max King reveals stunning family news just before he plays the biggest game of his life

NSW Blues star Max King is to be a father again, with his glamorous wife Christy due in December. It comes ahead of the biggest footy game of the prop's life - the Origin series decider in Sydney on July 9. 'Here we grow again... Our baby girl coming December,' Christy King posted on Instagram on Monday. Among the well-wishers were his Canterbury and NSW teammate Stephen Crichton's wife Leone and the Bulldogs, King's NRL club. In June last year, Max and Christy announced the arrival of their first child, a baby boy named Hercules. And back in October 2023, the front-rower and his new bride exchanged vows at Curzon Hall in Sydney, surrounded by family and friends. The couple, who met at church on the Gold Coast, famously abstained from sex during their engagement as Christians. 'We are so loud and proud about our faith... it's never been something we've shied away from because it is so important to us,' Christy previously told 2DayFM's Hughesy, Ed and Erin radio show. 'We spoke about it (remaining celibate) early on... on the first or second date. 'Christian dating 101 is you're not wasting anyone's time, it's a conversation we didn't shy away from and honestly we've seen such fruit from it in our relationship in terms of communication... it's just so good.' King also admitted she was initially hesitant about their relationship given her husband's profession. 'When I met him I was like, 'oh you're a footy player, red flag, what have I got myself into,'' she said. 'For sure [his teammates are supportive]....but when we first started dating they were like, 'as if you guys are' [abstaining from sex]. In October 2023, the Bulldogs front-rower and his new bride exchanged vows at Curzon Hall in Sydney, surrounded by family and friends 'I feel so blessed to have met Max... we are the puzzle pieces that fit together and it's all down to God,' said the glamorous model. King made his NRL debut with the Gold Coast Titans in 2017, before moving to the Melbourne Storm two years later. He then joined the Bulldogs in 2022, and has been a key figure in the impressive rebuild under coach Cameron Ciraldo.

Laurie Daley has made no changes to his team for the State of Origin decider, backing in his existing squad for Game 3 in Sydney on July 9. NSW's forward pack came under scrutiny in Perth, with Max King's position at starting prop under question following the injury to Mitch Barnett that left a hole in the team. Stefano Utoikamanu's spot in the team was also seen as under threat, but Daley has stuck to his guns, ignoring calls to bring Rabbitohs gun Keaon Koloamatangi or Tigers recruit Terrell May in to do a job at prop. In this weekend's NRL games, Utoikamanu had 33min 60metres 24pcm 1 offload 20 tackles, Koloamatangi had 60min 108m 34pcm 32 tackles, and May had 68min 121m 56pcm 50 tackles, 0 missed. Fox League commentator Andrew Voss said on SEN after Game 2: 'Stefano Utoikamanu is gone. I'm rubbing him out for Game 3. Max King is not a starting Origin front rower. So there's a starting front rower spot up for grabs for NSW. 'I don't think you can go with the same starting 13 again. You can't go with Max King if you're only giving him that many minutes.' Daley has reportedly added Sharks second rower Teig Wilton and Parramatta forward Jack Williams to the extended squad for the 10-day camp before the decider at Sydney's Accor Stadium. Gold Coast's Brian Kelly has also been added to the squad. NSW coach Laurie Daley is sticking to his guns. On top of those two additions, Dolphins halfback Isaiya Katoa has been brought into NSW's squad as insurance for Nathan Cleary, who is managing a thigh/groin injury. Katoa, 21, has been in blistering form for the Dolphins and has been given the nod over Broncos veteran Adam Reynolds as the back-up halfback.
