🚨 Maxi Gómez has found a new club
Maxi Gómez was announced as Nacional's new player, marking his return to Uruguayan football after an extensive career in Europe. The striker, trained at Defensor Sporting, stood out at Celta de Vigo, where he scored 30 goals in two seasons. Later, he moved to Valencia CF, although with less impact as a goal scorer. Afterwards, he had a stint at Cádiz CF and Trabzonspor in Turkey, where he has not been able to regain his form as expected. Advertisement Now, at 27 years old, Maxi is looking to rediscover his best version at Nacional and aspire to a call-up for the 2026 World Cup, bringing experience and leadership to the team. Faithless: 'I wish Maxi were alive to see the love in the room'
The track was written in response to the Iraq War — might Iran become Starmer's Iraq? 'Could well do,' Bliss says, teeth gritted. 'Iranians themselves loathe their regime but they've also seen what happens in a power vacuum in Iraq and Libya, and to have it imposed in a semi-colonial way from outside with a gung-ho lack of thinking and diplomacy. It's terrifying.' She's heartened, though, by the resurgence in raised voices within music, citing Massive Attack and, yes, Kneecap. 'To be a band has become a political statement and I'm glad that politics and music don't have to be uneasy bedfellows. If they have convictions and they want to share them and they make great music then those things can sit together. We have tried to do that over the years, and Maxi was the most amazing conduit for the mix of wisdom, politics, everyday life, what it is to be a human being, the struggle with oneself and with the wider world.'

Danielle Armstrong's stunning holiday co-ord is still available for under £50
Former TOWIE star Danielle Armstrong has found the perfect floral co-ord to take on your next getaway, and you can still shop her exact look for under £50 If you're looking for something easy and breezy to take on holiday, a co-ord is always a great choice. Not only do you have an instant outfit ready to go, but you can easily mix and match each piece with other things, giving you plenty of different looks without taking up too much room in your suitcase. One we spotted recently was worn by Danielle Armstrong whilst she was on holiday, with the former TOWIE star showing off the outfit on her newly-launched LTK page. Her exact look – H&M's floral co-ord – has already been her best-selling look from her outfits so far, making it a definite must have. The H&M co-ord includes the £19.99 Tie-Strap Smocked Top and the £27.99 Frill-Trimmed Maxi Skirt, meaning you only need to spend £47.98 to copy Danielle's look. Despite its affordable price tag, the full set is still in stock in all sizes, except the XS size in the skirt. Although Danielle opted for the black floral print version, you can also get the set in a white and pink floral print too, which is perfect if you want a softer, more romantic look. The top has a shirred stretchy design that's comfortable and supportive without being too tight (because who wants tight, clingy fits in the heat?) and has a flattering slim fit. Meanwhile the skirt has a covered elasticated waistband that keeps it streamlined and sleek whilst still giving you plenty of stretch. It has a maxi length with an A-line silhouette that flows nicely, giving you plenty of movement and keeping it breezy and comfortable. Whilst there's no denying that the co-ord looks great together, you can so easily pair it with plenty of other pieces in your wardrobe (or your suitcase). The Tie-Strap Smocked Top for example would work with denim shorts, some wide leg linen trousers or even a pair of jeans on cooler days, whilst the Frill-Trimmed Maxi Skirt works beautifully with everything from an oversized T-shirt to a crisp white shirt, or simply thrown on over a bikini for around the pool. The H&M co-ord is made from Enzing Ecovero viscose which keeps it lightweight, but if you want something more natural River Island's Yellow Sleeveless Floral Cami Top (£29) and the matching Yellow Floral Maxi Skirt (£36) are both made from 100% cotton. This means it's breathable and sweat-wicking, keeping you cool and comfortable in the heat. If you want something bolder, New Look's Red Shell Print Poplin Tiered Midi Skirt (£32.99) and the co-ordinating Red Abstract Print Tie Strap Cropped Top (£23.99) are ideal. The bold red colour makes a statement, and they can dress it up and down depending on the occasion. However if you want to take a leaf out of Daniell's style book, you can shop the Tie-Strap Smocked Top and the Frill-Trimmed Maxi Skirt at H&M now.

From floaty dresses to easy-breezy linen separates, the new drop covers everything for the season. There are also new season arrivals available at Boden, including the brands Postcards from Mallorca range. Alternatively, FatFace offers seasonal must-haves for all holiday wardrobe needs. With an A-line silhouette, this Maria Ivory Plants Midi Dress from the brand works perfectly for Britain's current heatwave and comes in at £69. I usually take a 12, but size 10 fits better on the bodice." While a second review read, "Lovely dress, it's well made and very pretty. It looks like the picture and is lined, so it's not see-through." Although one comment noted: "It was a bit of an odd fit, very tight on bust but saggy on the straps for me." Another hot item for the season is the Light Blue Denim A-line Shorts for £59. Made to wear everywhere, these light-wash denim shorts have a high waist and relaxed, body-skimming fit. In a five-star rating, one person shared: "These are a great length and fit, and I love the colour too. They will be worn a lot this summer!" Maxi Coffee Bar at Ann Siang is now closed after being given less than two days' notice to vacate
Morning coffee runs will never be the same again for everyone at the Time Out Singapore office – and for plenty of other caffeine-lovers working in the Maxwell area, we bet. Beloved coffee roaster café Maxi Coffee Bar has unexpectedly closed its doors as of yesterday, and its Ann Siang Hill unit with its trademark blue door and window frames – previously the spot for cosy breakfasts and quick perk-me-ups – now remains empty of the cheerful chatter we're used to encountering when walking past. We're not the only ones surprised; This closure was sprung onto the owners and staff of Maxi Coffee Bar just as suddenly. In an Instagram post on June 14, 2025, a Saturday, Maxi Coffee Bar announced the sad news, stating that that would be its final weekend of operation in the space – something it only learnt of from its landlord on the very same day, while they were in the middle of service, no less. This essentially means that less than two days' notice was given. The post goes on to clarify that the request to vacate was a result of certain events that were not of Maxi's own doing, and despite fighting to stay in this nook it has occupied since 2020, all appeals were unsuccessful. 'It feels deeply unfair when we have only run our little business honestly and with all our heart. But we will still keep on, and find ways to keep serving delicious coffee and our brand of hospitality in this beautiful neighborhood,' part of the post reads. This unfortunate news comes shortly after a recent slew of F&B closures, which count establishments like Wala Wala and Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao at Holland Village, soufflé pancake café Fluff Stack, dessert café Flor Patisserie, as well as Eggslut and Burger & Lobster as some of the latest victims. But not all is lost. Maxi Coffee Bar will continue to serve its coffee, sandwiches and more at weekend pop-ups at Wildcard, a bar at Havelock by the very same owners. Here's hoping that the crowd-favourite cereal milk latte will remain on the menu! Look out for updates via Maxi Coffee Bar's Instagram page.
