Teenager recovering after shooting in McKeesport

A teenager is recovering in the hospital after a shooting in McKeesport on Thursday night. According to Allegheny County Police, just before 9 p.m., McKeesport Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert on Eaton Street. Once they arrived on the scene, they came across evidence of a shooting. Not long after they responded to the scene, they were alerted to a victim found on Powers Street. There, they found a teenage boy who was taken to the hospital in stable condition. McKeesport Police requested the assistance of Allegheny County police. No suspects have been named in this shooting. Anyone with information is being asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.

15-year-old boy hit by vehicle in McKeesport

A 15-year-old boy was critically injured after being hit by the driver of a vehicle in McKeesport on Tuesday, authorities said. The Allegheny County Police Department said in a news release that first responders were called around 6:50 p.m. to the intersection of Lysle Boulevard and Coursin Street for reports of a driver hitting a pedestrian. At the scene, officials found that a 15-year-old boy was struck by the vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, Allegheny County police said. After an investigation, police said the boy attempted to cross Lysle Boulevard in front of a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus when the driver of the vehicle, in the left lane, hit him. The driver remained at the scene, Allegheny County police said.

Around 3:30 a.m., they were called to the 600 block of Eden Park Boulevard after receiving multiple reports of a building on fire. Once they arrived, they found Cal's Cantina was on fire and observed flames and smoke inside of the building. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

Bicyclist killed after hitting vehicle in McKeesport

A bicyclist is dead after police said she lost control and hit a vehicle in McKeesport. Allegheny County police said first responders were called to Eden Park Boulevard shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday after a bicyclist and vehicle were involved in a crash on Eden Park Boulevard. Police said first responders found a woman dead at the scene. The preliminary investigation shows she was riding "erratically" off the side of the road, lost control and hit the side of an SUV. The SUV driver stayed on scene, police said. The name of the woman who was killed hasn't been released.

Allegheny County police investigating shooting in McKeesport

Allegheny County police are investigating a shooting that resulted in one person being hospitalized with gunshot wounds to the hand and abdomen. County police's homicide unit responded to a request for assistance in McKeesport just before 2:45 a.m. Sunday, after McKeesport police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 700 block of White Street. First responders found evidence of a shooting but did not find a victim. A short time later, the victim arrived at an area hospital by private vehicle, according to a media release from county police. The victim was shot in the hand and abdomen and is in stable condition. An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
