KATSEYE Shoutout the Trans Community In 'Mean Girls' Lyrics

Calling all Eyekons! Global girl group KATSEYE has officially dropped their highly anticipated second EP, Beautiful Chaos. The 5-track project comes after the release of their Charli XCX-co-written single, 'Gabriela,' and, of course, their certified song of the summer, 'Gnarly.' One of the new tracks on the EP, 'Mean Girls,' chooses grace over drama as the six members shout out all kinds of women—'sweet girls,' 'queen girls,' 'spill all the tea girls,' and, yes, even 'mean girls'—in its lyrics. Of course, the Gen Z powerhouses didn't leave out the trans community, as they also mused, 'God bless the T girls and all the in-between girls,' toward the end of the track. The sweet sentiment comes after two of KATSEYE's members, Lara Raj and Megan Skiendiel, came out as queer earlier this year. In March, Lara opened up about her sexuality during a live stream on Weverse, a South Korean platform where K-pop idols get to interact with fans. 'I knew I was half a fruitcake when I was like eight. So I really was wanting everybody,' she wrote to fans on the app, then clarifying that she doesn't label herself 'bc im not just into men n women, i like anyone im open to anyone.' A few months later, Megan came out as bisexual during another live stream. In a viral clip from the June live stream, Megan wishes Lara a happy Pride month as they apply hair extensions. 'Thank you, Megan, you too!' Lara said in between giggles. She then encouraged her bandmate to speak her truth as she counted her down. 'Guys, I'm coming out. I'm bisexual,' Megan shared before jumping with joy and saying, 'Oh my God, wait, I was like, scared.' The girls are not only experiencing, but spreading, queer joy and for that, we simply must stan. Amanda Seyfried reveals iconic role she auditioned SIX TIMES for and lost out to a rival star

There was a role that Amanda Seyfried wanted so badly she auditioned for it a whopping six times. Last week, on Backstage's In the Envelope podcast, the 39-year-old Mamma Mia star revealed she tried out for the part of Elphaba in Wicked on multiple occasions. 'I'm in that privileged spot where I just don't have to [audition],' she said, 'But I like, of course, I talked about this a lot. I auditioned like six times for Wicked.' 'Because that had to be really just right,' the Mean Girls star said. 'And I like, I loved it.' Amanda also talked about her Wicked audition in March during an episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast. 'I was able to really prepare, and I'm telling you, I've never felt that solid in my voice than I did at the auditions,' she said. 'And that's kind of what I got out of it,' Seyfried told host Josh Horowitz. 'I do, again, think everything happens for a reason,' she continued, adding, 'I also got to sing with Cynthia, and that was a moment in itself.' In November, Cynthia did a joint interview with The New York Times, where she said it was 'no surprise whatsoever' to her when she learned Ariana Grande, 31, had gotten the role of Glinda. 'I said [at the time], "Thank God,"' Ariana recalled, with Cynthia adding: 'Thank goodness, because it was not the two ladies that I was auditioning with.' While Cynthia did not name who else she'd auditioned with, Seyfried did reveal in 2022 that she had tried out for the part of Glinda, but didn't specify if she auditioned alongside Cynthia. She auditioned at the same time she was filming The Dropout, in which she played disgraced scientist Elizabeth Holmes and won and Emmy for her role. Amanda has made peace with the fact that she wasn't cast as Glinda. She even lavished praise on Ariana for her performance. 'I do, again, think everything happens for a reason,' she said. Amanda passed on another famous role, that of Gamora in the blockbuster film Guardians Of The Galaxy, opposite Chris Pratt, more than a decade ago. Amanda passed on another famous role, that of Gamora in the blockbuster film Guardians Of The Galaxy, opposite Chris Pratt, more than a decade ago. While promoting her new Peacock series Long Bright River, the actress dished about the many opportunities she been blessed to have had over her career. And when it came to the topic of ones that almost happened, Seyfried got honest about the opportunity that came along with starring on the original 2014 superhero film, directed by James Gunn, based on the Marvel Comics. She admitted to feeling it was a risk at the time the role was offered to her, during the same interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast on March 20. 'Being a part of the first Marvel movie that bombs ain't good for your career,' she shared with host Josh Horowitz. I thought that because this was about a talking tree and a talking raccoon that it was gonna be Marvel's first bomb and that Chris Pratt and I would never work again. I was wrong.' The Allentown, Pennsylvania native never considered the possible role of Gamora, which ultimately was played by Zoe Saldaña, a risk due to the work of Gunn, who co-wrote the screenplay along with helming the project. '[He's] a genius and he's fun and he's a wonderful filmmaker, and he can make anything work,' she said of the filmmaker. ' But I was way too scared. I was at a precarious moment in my career, and I didn't want to suffer for the work.' Guardians Of The Galaxy went on to become a blockbuster smash, grossing a whopping $773.4 million globally while spending a net of $195.9 million on the project. Despite all the success of the superhero films Seyfried still stands by her decision to listen to her intuition and not take on the role. 'I had done some green screen stuff, and it wasn't my cup of tea, and I don't regret any decision that I made,' she stated. 'I made it for myself in the moment that I made it. It was good for me then, and it's good for me now.'

Lindsay Lohan shows off her tiny waist in skintight top while out with husband Bader Shammas in LA

Lindsay Lohan and her husband of three years, Bader Shammas, made a rare appearance together in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The 38-year-old actress and her beau, who share two-year-old son Luai, coordinated in casual looks after dining at Gracias Madre. Lohan, who quietly tied the knot with Shammas in 2022, was clad in light wash jeans and a snug-fitting nude-toned crew neck shirt. She looked effortlessly glamorous as her long, platinum locks flowed down her back and to her waist while she wore oversize dark sunglasses. For his part, the financier wore a white T-shirt under a sky blue shirt jacket, adding sunglasses. Missing from the scene was their tot, who was born in July 2023. Days ago the Mean Girls sensation took to Instagram to gush over her small family as she shared photos from a park day. She captioned the images, 'Sunshine, smiles, and family time! summer is sweeter together ☺️ making memories.' It came after the lifelong entertainer told Elle magazine she'd like for her son to have a sibling to play with. 'I feel like we live in a different world now, where women make it such a point, especially in motherhood, to make time for ourselves. 'We make it important. But also, once you have one kid, you're like, 'Oh, my kid needs a kid to play with.'' She also noted, 'I don't know if it's selfish — but I'm like, "I need more than one kid to take care of me when I'm older."' In November 2021, the Herbie: Fully Loaded actress took to Instagram to announce her engagement to Shammas. She showed off her diamond ring as she posed with her new fiancé, writing in the caption: 'My love. My life. My family. My future.' Lindsay wed her partner in 2022 and revealed the news by referring to him as her 'husband' in an Instagram message that she posted on her 36th birthday. Earlier this month she used the social media platform, where she boasts 15 million followers, to pay tribute to her now-husband on his birthday. She gushed, 'Happy Birthday to the love of my life. You're an incredible son, a devoted husband, and the most amazing father. Watching you with our family is the greatest gift. You make us feel safe, cherished, and loved. 'Every day by your side is a blessing and I'm so lucky to walk through life with you. I love you endlessly.'
