Foreign Ministry holds preparatory meeting ahead of European delegation visit
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity held a preparatory meeting in anticipation of a high-level visit by a delegation from the European Commission to Tripoli.
The meeting included representatives from the EU Delegation to Libya, headed by Ambassador Stefano Sannino, Director-General for the Middle East, North Africa, and Gulf at the European Commission, along with his deputy and several delegation members.
On the Libyan side, participants included the Director of the Protocol Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Head of the Ceremonial Section, several protocol staff members, a representative from the Ministry of Interior, and a member of the VIP Protection Department.
Both sides discussed the logistical and protocol arrangements necessary for receiving official European delegations, particularly the upcoming visit of the European Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration, Magnus Brunner, scheduled for July 8, following his participation in consultations on the EU's new Mediterranean Migration Pact.
This visit comes within the framework of supporting dialogue and joint cooperation between Libya and the European Union, particularly in the areas of migration, security, and development. Tags: Ministry of Foreign Affairs European Commission
