Minister Lokesh lauds smooth conduct of DSC exam
VIJAYAWADA: HRD Minister N Lokesh lauded the smooth conduct of Mega DSC 2025 exam, a massive recruitment drive to fill 16,347 teacher posts in the State. In a post on X, Lokesh stated that the examination was conducted smoothly over 23 days, with 3.36 lakh candidates submitting 5.77 lakh applications, and registering an impressive 92.9% attendance. He credited it to the efforts of officials, and highlighted the government's commitment to transparency, even in the face of political and legal hurdles. 'Despite 31 court cases filed at the behest of YSRCP, the exam was held with fairness and transparency,' he said. He highlighted provisions that ensured equity in the recruitment process, including SC sub-categorisation, and 3% sports quota. These inclusivity measures are part of the government's vision for equal opportunities in education sector. The preliminary answer keys for the DSC exam have been released, and candidates can submit corrections if any within the notified window, he said. Lokesh appreciated the district and State-level officials who contributed to the seamless conduct of the recruitment drive. The DSC (District Selection Committee) is seen as a major part of the State government's educational reforms aimed at improving teacher strength in government schools.

He commended the officials involved in the organisation of the Mega DSC for their efforts. Despite these obstacles, Lokesh assured that the exams were held impartially and transparently, adhering to established regulations, including those concerning SC sub-categorisation and the sports quota. DSC exams conclude smoothly with 92.90% attendance
Vijayawada: The Mega DSC 2025 examinations concluded smoothly across Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, according to an official statement from DSC convenor M V Krishna Reddy. The exams, held from June 6 to July 2, were conducted in a peaceful and organised manner throughout the state. A total of 5,77,694 applications were received for various teaching posts, of which 5,36,690 were found to be valid. Out of these, 92.90 per cent of eligible candidates appeared for the exams. On the final day, July 2, the SGT Telugu and Minor Media exams were conducted in two sessions. Of the 19,879 candidates scheduled for these papers, 19,409 were present, resulting in a high attendance rate of 97.06 per cent. District-wise attendance was impressive, with Chittoor recording the highest morning session turnout of 99 per cent, while Vizianagaram district registered a perfect 100 per cent attendance in the afternoon session. To assist candidates with any post-exam queries, the department has activated helpline numbers, which will be operational from July 3. Over 20k attend Mega DSC-2025 exam on Day 1
VIJAYAWADA: A total of 14,281 candidates (88.69% of the 16,102 registered aspirants) appeared in the morning session of the Mega DSC 2025 held across 91 centres on Friday. A total of 7,611 candidates (86.7% of the total registered) attended the examination, conducted at 51 centres in the afternoon session. The computer-based examination process to fill 16,347 teacher posts commenced smoothly and witnessed an encouraging response from aspiring teachers. The exams will continue till June 30. Subjects covered in the morning session included TGT (Non-Language) Mathematics (English Medium), TGT-Hindi-VH, TGT-Physical Science-HH, TGT-Physical Science-VH, and TGT (Language) Telugu-HH. The afternoon session was conducted for TGT (NL) Mathematics (English Medium) and TGT Mathematics-HH papers. Kadapa records highest DSC attendance HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, in a message on X, described the moment as a proud one and conveyed his best wishes to the candidates, calling them the 'Teachers of tomorrow.' Mega DSC Convenor MV Krishna Reddy said Kadapa district reported the highest attendance with 91.1% in the morning and 92% in the afternoon session. Authorities ensured elaborate arrangements at all examination centres. Candidates were allowed to enter exam centres an hour before the test began, and entry was strictly closed post 9:00 am. District Collectors, DEOs, and state-level observers monitored the entire process through command control rooms set up at district headquarters and the state level. Officials confirmed that the first day of the examination concluded peacefully and without incident.

Prohibitory orders for AP's Mega DSC 2025 examination centres
In view of the Mega DSC 2025 examinations of Andhra Pradesh, the Cyberabad police issued prohibitory orders around examination centres falling under its jurisdiction. The order, issued by the Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, prohibit the assembly of five or more persons within a 200-metre radius of all designated exam centres. The order will remain in force from June 6 to June 30, during the examination hours. In addition, all photocopy and internet centres within a 100-metre radius of the exam centres will also remain closed throughout the examination period. The directive is aimed at preventing potential disturbances, unauthorised activities, or any attempt to disrupt the smooth conduct of the recruitment tests. However, certain personnel are exempt from the order, including police officers, military personnel, home guards on duty, flying squads from the Education Department, and funeral processions. The official cautioned that any violation of the prohibitory orders will attract legal action under the relevant provisions of law.
