Inside Nicki Minaj's celebrity spats as she takes aim at SZA in viral tirade

Nicki Minaj isn't afraid to voice her opinion, no matter how fiery it may be. She recently went head to head with singer SZA, but this isn't the first time she's been embroiled in an online feud. Nicki Minaj has always been known for her rapping skills and Barbie aesthetic, but over the years she's also become known for her heated feuds. From Megan Thee Stallion, Taylor Swift and Mariah Carey, Nicki is far from picky about who she argues with. ‌ Just last night, SZA found herself on the other end of Nicki's vicious digs as the pair embroiled in a heated argument which started after SZA posted online: 'Mercury retrograde.. Don't take the bait lol silly goose.' ‌ Just minutes later the Superbass singer clapped back, with a response - and she didn't hold back. 'Go draw your freckles back on bookie #JusticeForDemoree #DepositionPerez Liar liar pants on fire. Sounding like a f****ng dead dog.' ‌ And it didn't stop there, with Nicki going on for hours and hours. While some fans were shocked, asking how it got so heated, those who know Nicki Minaj weren't surprised. Let's take a look back at the enemies Nicki has made along the way... Megan Thee Stallion The two singer‑rappers actually started out as friends, after Nicki joined Megan Thee Stallion 's Hot Girl Summer anthem in 2019. But it all went downhill when Megan released a song early last year called Hiss, where she let out all her feelings towards certain people. ‌ In the lyrics, Meg said: 'These h**s don't be mad at Megan, these h**s mad at Megan's Law,' which Nicki took as a direct diss to her and her husband, Kenneth Petty. Nicki was relentless in her response, going on for days and even releasing a song called Big Foot in response. This feud in particular left some of Nicki's fanbase - nicknamed 'Barbz' leaving the stan culture, after Nicki went as far as speaking about Meg's late mother and the Tory Lanez 2020 shooting. While many people say that when in a rap beef nothing is off limits, some think certain things don't need to be said. Taylor Swift Taylor Swift and Nicki had a brief disagreement on X which was fuelled after MTV announced that year's VMA nominations - and Nicki's hit Anaconda was left out, while Taylor's Bad Blood with Kendrick Lamar was nominated. ‌ Nicki took to X to rant, without directly tagging Taylor, she stated: 'I've done nothing but love and support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.' Nicki denied the tweets were about her and said she loved her - but the Taylor and Nicki spat ended up leading to Nicki and Miley Cyrus going at each other. ‌ Miley Cyrus While the feud started with Taylor Swift, it turned into more of a blow‑up with Miley Cyrus in the end. Disney star Miley admitted she felt personally attacked by Nicki's comments online, but instead of taking to X, Nicki waited for her moment on the VMA stage. After winning Best Hip‑Hop Video, she said: 'Back to this bi*ch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press; Miley, what's good?' - which quickly became an iconic moment for Nick. For more stories like this subscribe to our weekly newsletter, The Weekly Gulp, for a curated roundup of trending stories, poignant interviews, and viral lifestyle picks from The Mirror's Audience U35 team delivered straight to your inbox. ‌ Miley made it clear she didn't want any problems, responding: 'Nicki, congratu‑f**king‑lations.' Meanwhile, things stayed quiet for years, until 2019 when Miley reignited the argument with a lyric: 'I love you, Nicki, but I listen to Cardi,' on her song Cattitude. Of course, Nicki went full blast on her again during an episode of Queen Radio, after Miley sided with Cardi B - another star who Nicki had feuded with. Mariah Carey The pair first worked together as far back as 2009 when Nicki featured on one of Mariah's songs, but things turned sour when they both joined American Idol as judges. An insider claimed Mariah didn't see Nicki as "worthy of judging.' ‌ According to the source, Mariah had been saying little things to "jab at Nicki from day one" and added She doesn't think Nicki can sing and doesn't think she should be judging folks. Nicki has been taking all of the jabs, but on this particular day, she lost it,' reports People. Shortly after, a leaked TMZ video showed them arguing at the judges' panel, with Nicki shouting: 'I told them I'm not f*ckin' putting up with her f**kin' highness over there,' while Mariah fired back: 'Oh why, why do I have a three‑year‑old sitting around me?' ‌ Mariah added: 'I can't see my kids because you decided to act like a little crazy b*tch and go all around the stage.' The feud escalated further when rumours surfaced that Nicki threatened Mariah with a gun - which Nicki denied, tweeting: 'Hey y'all. Let's just say Nicki said something about a gun. People will believe it 'cause she's a Black rapper. Lmao. I'll then hit up Barbara [Walters] n milk it.' Cardi B This may be Nicki's longest‑standing feud. Fans noticed tension when the two shot their music video parts on different days. Cardi later implied Nicki switched her verses, and Nicki responded on X saying: 'The corniest thing you can be is ungrateful. Give thanks.' It seemed like things had cooled until September 2018 when they got into a physical altercation at an event. Videos showed Cardi attempting to throw a shoe at Nicki, yelling: 'Play with me b*tch… keep f*cking playing with me. Play with my f*cking kid b*tch… I'll f*ck your ass up.' Cardi was later seen with a bump on her forehead. If this feud couldn't be more memorable, it became even more iconic when Nicki admitted she was 'humiliated' by the incident - which might have been a first for her. To this day, their feud remains unresolved, with the two still trading digs on X. Help us improve our content by completing the survey below. We'd love to hear from you!

Nicki Minaj Calls Out Roc Nation Over Allegations Including JAY-Z Paternity Rumors, Megan Thee Stallion Lawsuit

Nicki Minaj has channeled her brethren in music, 50 Cent, savagely calling out Roc Nation for allegations against some of the management company's associates. Starting off with Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez, Minaj posted a screenshot of a video 'calling out' Perez for allegedly 'abusing' her daughter Demoree. According to the video, Perez allegedly held her daughter against her will and physically assaulted her. 'Oh no what's going on The Shade Room?!?!!!! Help!!!!!,' Minaj captioned the post. According to NBC6 South Florida, the lawsuit came about last month, revealing serious allegations against Perez, including using her influence and wealth to have her daughter, Hadley, wrongfully institutionalized in a mental health facility for two weeks. According to the suit, Hadley claims she was detained without clear cause, supported by medical records and bodycam footage showing officials directing her into a vehicle. A doctor's evaluation reportedly cited family claims — including from Perez and an aunt — that Hadley had attempted an overdose, which she denied. The lawsuit also accuses Perez of interfering in Hadley's marriage to Javon Hadley by fabricating domestic violence claims. Perez previously sued Javon for alleged abuse of her daughter, which both he and Hadley deny. Hadley was released in April after Perez dropped the case. Minaj then followed up with another post taking jabs at both JAY-Z and Megan Thee Stallion. Reigniting conversation surrounding Hov's alleged son — whom has been seeking a paternity test from the Hip-Hop icon – Minaj called out the ongoing legal matter. 'Oh is this why he was trending the other day? Idk. I hope all is well. To God be the glory,' she captioned a photo of Jay placed beside Raymir Satterthwaite. The headline of the screenshot also claimed that a judge has requested to move forward with Raymir's request for a paternity test proving whether or not Jay is his biological father, thought this has not been substantiated. The 31-year-old has continuously pleaded with the mogul and businessman to take the test so that he can get answers about his identity. 'If he is not [my father], why can't he prove me wrong?' Raymir told Daily Mail in an interview. 'Go to the courtroom and do what everyone else has to do. I can take a no. I can take being embarrassed. I just can't take him not saying anything. It is not fair.' Lastly, the Pink Friday rapper called out Megan Thee Stallion's impending lawsuit just as a federal judge ruled that a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit against the Texas rapper can move forward. In a cryptic post, Minaj wrote, 'What was the name of that law again??????? Karma's Law? Touch not my anointed law? Vengeance is the Lord's law?… the blogs posting lies, thank you. More money for me. We're working. Trust.' Minaj referenced a prior jab Meg took at her husband Kenneth Petty in her song 'Hiss,' where she rapped, 'These ho*s don't be mad at Megan, these ho*s mad at Megan's Law/ I don't really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y'all don't want me to start.' The line was aimed at Petty, who is a court ordered registered sex offender due to an incident that took place when he was 15. The timing of Minaj's post comes on the heels of U.S. District Judge Gregory H. Woods allowing Emelio Garcia's lawsuit against Megan — born Megan Pete — to proceed. Garcia, Megan's former cameraman, alleges he was harassed and retaliated against due to his sexual orientation. He claims that in 2022, while in Ibiza, Megan engaged in a sexual act with another woman in his presence, made degrading remarks about his appearance, and later cut his hours and pay before firing him when he spoke up. The judge found Garcia's claims plausible, noting that the behavior he described could support a hostile work environment based on his sexuality. Megan and her team have strongly denied the allegations, calling Garcia a 'con artist' and his lawsuit 'baseless.' Unless a settlement is reached, the case is expected to go to trial. Minaj's vengeance against the powerhouse label partially stems from Young Money CEO and iconic rapper Lil Wayne being snubbed of Super Bowl performance slot in his hometown, New Orleans. Instead, Kendrick Lamar was tapped to headline the biggest night in football. In response to the decision, Minaj went on a scathing rant against JAY-Z on X, as he currently holds the title of 'live music entertainment strategist' for the Super Bowl Half Time show. She also sent shots to the Blueprint phenom in her verse on Weezy's 'Banned From N.O.' calling out the Super Bowl snub again and Jay's position. She rapped, 'NFL, fire some ni**as and then call us!' Megan Thee Stallion, JAY-Z nor Desiree Perez has responded to Nicki Minaj as of publication. VIBE has reached out to Roc Nation for comment and has not yet received a response. Nicki Minaj Says JAY-Z Owes Her $200 Million From Her Equity In Tidal

Nicki Minaj is escalating her public feud with JAY-Z as she has now made a claim that he owes her up to $200,000,000 tied to her equity in Tidal. Minaj, who was one of 15 artists gifted a three percent stake in the streaming service at its 2015 launch, said she was offered only $1,000,000 for her share after the company was sold to Jack Dorsey's Square for $302,000,000 in 2021. 'We've calculated about 100-200MM so far. #JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt. It's only collecting more interest,' she wrote on X, adding that despite the financial dispute, 'You still in my TOP 5 tho.' The global icon also referenced her philanthropic goals, stating that any money recouped would help fund her #StudentOfTheGame initiative, designed to cover tuition and student loans for fans. Yesterday (July 8), Minaj directed further criticism at Roc Nation members when she called out CEO Desiree Perez, sharing a screenshot of a video that accused Perez of abusing her own daughter, Demoree. The video alleges that Perez held her daughter against her will and physically assaulted her — claims that have not been verified. Minaj then reignited speculation about JAY-Z's alleged paternity case involving Raymir Satterthwaite, a man who has long claimed the Hip-Hop mogul is his biological father. Sharing a screenshot of a headline claiming a judge recently approved the continuation of Raymir's request for a paternity test, Minaj captioned the image: 'Oh is this why he was trending the other day? Idk. I hope all is well. To God be the glory.' The paternity suit has not been publicly confirmed by JAY-Z. Minaj also came for Megan Thee Stallion just as a federal judge ruled that a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit filed against the Houston rapper by her former cameraman could proceed. In a pointed post, Minaj wrote, 'What was the name of that law again??????? Karma's Law? Touch not my anointed law? Vengeance is the Lord's law?… the blogs posting lies, thank you. More money for me. We're working. Trust.' The post appeared to reference Megan's 2024 song 'Hiss,' where she took a vague jab at Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty. On the track, Megan rapped, 'These ho*s don't be mad at Megan, these ho*s mad at Megan's Law/ I don't really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y'all don't want me to start.' The line referenced Petty's status as a court-ordered registered sex offender stemming from a 1995 case. Minaj's latest online rant comes amid increasing scrutiny of Roc Nation and some of its high-profile artists and executives. As of now, neither JAY-Z, Perez, Megan Thee Stallion, nor Roc Nation have publicly responded to Minaj's claims. Nicki Minaj Goes on Social Media Tirade Against Megan Thee Stallion, Jay-Z, Roc Nation

On July 8, Nicki Minaj took to both Instagram and X to air a series of grievances. Over a sprawling series of posts, she took aim at Megan Thee Stallion, her management company Roc Nation, its founder Jay-Z, its CEO Desiree Perez and even the Democratic party in the U.S. Here's a brief breakdown of her gripes, which she repeatedly wrote were 'all alleged & for entertainment purposes only.' A Roc Nation representative and a rep for Megan Thee Stallion did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone's requests for comment. On Megan Thee Stallion More from Rolling Stone T.I. and Tiny's $71 Million Award at Doll Trial Chopped Down to $18 Million Sean Combs Trial Alternate Juror 'Believed' Cassie and Jane, but 'Intent' Was Issue Sean Combs' Sentencing Set for October Minaj seemed to delight in the news that Megan Thee Stallion and her management company Roc Nation could not dismiss her former cameraman's lawsuit against them. Last spring, Emilio Garcia accused the rapper of forcing him to watch her have sex with women while traveling with her in Ibiza, Spain, in 2022. Among claims that he was stripped of pay and fired by Roc Nation, he alleged the Ibiza incident happened in part because he is a gay man, constituting a hostile work environment based on his sexual orientation and gender. The Pink Friday rapper appeared to bolster this claim, writing, 'Being a gay man doesn't give any woman the right to sexually grind on you or have sex in front of you.' She added, 'I remember seeing someone grinding on their hair stylist & he seemed so uncomfortable.' Minaj has previously claimed Megan acted inappropriately around the time they filmed the music video for their one collaboration, 'Hot Girl Summer,' in 2019. The pair have had tension since, culminating in Megan's chart-topping diss 'Hiss' where she seemingly taunted Minaj by rapping: 'These hoes don't be mad at Megan/These hoes mad at Megan's Law,' an apparent nod to Minaj's husband and brother's sex offender convictions. 'What was the name of that law again????????' Minaj wrote in an Instagram caption of a screengrab of the news of Garcia's lawsuit persisting. 'Karma's Law? Touch not my anointed law? Vengeance is the Lord's law? We give God the glory & he's only just begun. Have a blessed day if you can.' On Desiree Perez Retweeting an X account invoking Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez in Garcia's case against the company, Minaj began attacking the music executive, calling her 'Desirat.' Among her attacks, Minaj targeted Perez for receiving a pardon for decades old narcotics and parole crimes from President Trump in 2021. 'Desirat were you out marching with your fellow Mexican immigrants?????,' wrote Minaj, seemingly referencing anti-ICE movements across the country. (Also, Perez is Cuban.) 'Oh, right…you were pardoned by President Trump so you kinda can't, right? I mean it kind of implies you guys are cool with him while yall seem to pretend to be against him.' Minaj lambasted Jay-Z for not hiring a Black woman as CEO and wrote that the pair have 'ruined' several aspects of the sports and music industry. Minaj previously appeared to criticize Roc Nation when Kendrick Lamar was chosen to perform at this year's Super Bowl over Lil Wayne. Jay-Z and Roc Nation produce the halftime spectacle with Apple Music and the NFL. On Jay-Z When Minaj turned her ire to Jay-Z, she accused him of letting 'Desirat do a lot of evil to black ppl & you stayed silent. We used to believe you.' Among many complaints about Jay-Z's work with Perez, Minaj claimed the mogul owed her money, which she would use to 'send some of my Barbz to college, pay their school fees & student loans via my #StudentOfTheGame charity.' She also invoked a prior claim that Roc Nation employed 'bots' in support of their artists online. '#JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt,' she wrote. 'It's only collecting more interest. You still in my TOP 5 tho.' Minaj also insinuated that Jay-Z and Perez didn't support former Vice President Kamala Harris' 2024 run for president with the vigor that the rapper supported former President Obama's campaigns because of an alleged allegiance to President Trump due to Perez's pardon. 'Brother billionaire never got in the field for yall, huh?' she wrote. On the Democrats That brings us to Minaj's beef with Democrats more broadly. 'President Biden posting not like us after Desirat was pardoned by President Trump is so 😩,' she wrote, uniting her complaints about Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl performance and Perez's pardon. Then, in one of her last X posts of the day, Minaj wrote, 'Democrats attacked me over my cousin's balls. Remember?' This is seemingly in reference to the Covid-19 vaccine skepticism Minaj notably shared in 2021, which was fact-checked by Joe Biden's chief medical advisor, Dr. Anthony Fauci. 'Let's see if they have any thoughts on that DESIRAT pardon,' Minaj continued. 'Let's see if they have any thoughts on brother billionaire never campaigning for Kamala even after Obama pleaded with the 'brothers.' Isn't this THEE 'brother'?!??!! Thee one 'brother' who could've probably gotten the job done for yall?!?!!!!! Welp. If the top brother in charge can leave yall hanging w/o repercussions then may everyone else leave you hanging as well. Hanging like my cousin's friend's balls.' Nicki Minaj ‘Megan's Law' Mocks Megan Thee Stallion For Cameraman Lawsuit Setback, Cardi ‘ENOUGH' Enters The Chat

Nicki Minaj is letting her X fingers fly, this time, seemingly subbing Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, and Jay-Z. Source: Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and Megan Thee Stallion via Getty Images Following news that a federal judge denied Megan Thee Stallion and Roc Nation's motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed by her former cameraman, Nicki took to social media with a myriad of messages seemingly aimed at her longtime rival. The initial Instagram post read: 'What was the name of that law again????????? Karma's Law? Touch not my anointed law? Vengeance is the Lord's law? We give God the glory & he's only just begun. Have a blessed day if you can. lol the blogs posting lies, thank you. More money for me. We're working. Trust.' Minaj seems to be referencing 'Megan's Law,' which is an….interesting choice on her part. Meg referenced the same law–a federal law in the United States requiring law enforcement authorities to make information available to the public regarding registered sex offenders–in her diss track against Nicki, 'HISS.' 'Aye, these hoes don't be mad at Megan, These hoes mad at Megan's Law,' the Houston native raps on the song, referencing the fact that Nicki Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty, is a registered sex offender. Interesting for her to draw more attention to that on her own accord. Minaj's post comes just a few days after reports confirmed that a lawsuit filed by a former cameraman against Megan Thee Stallion and Roc Nation would go forward, according to Billboard . The man alleges he was forced to witness a sexual act involving Megan and another woman while inside a moving SUV in Ibiza during her 2022 tour, saying the incident created a hostile work environment based on his sexual orientation and that his pay and benefits were later cut in retaliation. In her next Instagram post, Nicki took aim at Jay-Z, posting a side-by-side of him and Rymir Satterthwaite, a man who has long claimed to be the son of the rapper. The 31-year-old has spent over a decade in a legal battle seeking answers about his identity, and while it's unclear where it came from and seems to be inaccurate, the screenshot Minaj posted claims 'a judge has granted Raymir's request to move forward with his case.' 'Oh is this why he was trending the other day? Idk. I hope all is well. To God be the glory,' she wrote in her caption. Over on X, Nicki went on a slew of other rants, first tweeting something that many fans thought to be a sub at Cardi B. Cardi made headlines this week for deleting all evidence of boyfriend Stefon Diggs off her Instagram, sparking rumors of a breakup. 'It was all good just a week ago 😀,' she wrote, seemingly mocking the end of the rapper's relationship. She also doubled down on her mocking of Meg, tweeting about the lawsuit moving forward. 'Oh no. What was that law again? Bwajahaahahhaajajajajajajajajajsssss,' she wrote, adding a GIF of her throwing her head back and laughing. She continued, 'Being a gay man doesn't give any woman the right to sexually grind on you or have sex in front of you. I remember seeing someone grinding on their hair stylist & he seemed so uncomfortable.' She then returned her focus to Jay-Z, once again referencing claims she's echoed for the past few years that she is owed millions of dollars from the rapper for promoting his Tidal streaming service. 'We've calculated about 100-200MM so far. #JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt,' she wrote. 'It's only collecting more interest. You still in my TOP 5 tho. Let's get it nigga. And anyone still calling him Hov will answer to God for the blasphemy.' In the midst of Nicki's tweetstorm, Cardi entered the chat, simply telling her to 'shut the f**k up' in what many assume is a reply to Nicki's recent rants. She continued, 'Go to dinner ,go shopping, go to the park …Get off the internet…ENOUGH!!' Enjoy these looks and day …..and ignore the bored ….Love yall ❤️❤️❤️.' While Megan Thee Stallion has yet to reply–and we know Jay-Z won't say a word–Cardi's tweets just might be enough for another rant from Nicki. So, stay tuned!
