Ffiliffest 2025 returns to celebrate Welsh language and culture in Caerphilly
Caerphilly is set to come alive with the sights and sounds of Welsh culture as Ffiliffest 2025 returns next month.
Taking place on Saturday, June 7 and organised by Menter Caerffili, this annual festival celebrates the Welsh language and local heritage, offering a vibrant day of entertainment and activities for all ages.
Ffiliffest will run from 11am to 7pm at the Owain Glyndŵr Playing Fields on Crescent Road in Caerphilly - and it's completely free to enter.
Now a staple in Caerphilly's cultural calendar, the festival offers a diverse line-up of live music performances, traditional dancing, arts and crafts workshops, sports activities, and stalls featuring local produce.
One of its highlights is a large-scale folk dance performance by hundreds of local schoolchildren, showcasing the community's commitment to preserving Welsh traditions.

The festival is made possible through the generous support of several organisations, including the Arts Council of Wales, Caerphilly County Borough Council, Caerphilly Town Council, and the Welsh Government. Their contributions help ensure that Ffiliffest remains a free and accessible event for the entire community.
Menter Caerffili, the event organiser, is a charity dedicated to promoting and increasing the use of the Welsh language within Caerphilly County Borough. Through events like Ffiliffest, it aims to provide opportunities for people to engage with dialect and culture in meaningful ways.
As well as the scheduled performances and activities, Ffiliffest offers a platform for local businesses and artisans to showcase their products. Food and drink stalls will feature a variety of options, including vegetarian choices, ensuring that there's something for everyone to enjoy.
