Today we will talk about Abhishek Monty Agarwal, a graduate of IIT Bombay, who has become the youngest Indian to own a Mercedes-Maybach S680 saloon sedan which is counted among the world's most expensive luxury SUVs. He took the delivery of the brand-new luxury car from a Mercedes dealership in Mumbai. Abhishek was 33 when he bought the Mercedes-Maybach S680 sedan. He founded one of India's biggest fashion houses, Purple Style Labs, after graduating with an M. Tech in Aeronautics Engineering from IIT Bombay. Viral Bhayani, a celebrity photographer and content creator shared the pictures of the car being delivered to Abhishek Agarwal. Abhishek's Mercedes-Maybach S680 has got Bharat registration, which allows for seamless travel throughout the states of India without the need to change the registration plate. The Maybach S680 is based on the standard S-Class luxury sedan which is all about luxury and comfort and has gained popularity among wealthy Indian businessmen and celebrities. Its features include electrically adjustable seats, Nappa leather upholstery, rear-seat entertainment screens, a recliner function for all seats, a massage feature, and both heated and cooled seats. Passengers can control a variety of features from the rear without disturbing the driver. Even the doors of the S680 feature gesture control, allowing occupants to close them automatically without pulling them manually. The driver has buttons to control the rear doors. The Maybach S680 is also available with various customization options. At almost 5.5 meters long, the S680 is currently one of the longest cars available for sale in the Indian market. The S680 is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 turbocharged petrol engine that generates 612 PS and 900 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels via Mercedes' 4MATIC technology. 1 2 3 Kolkata: Mercedes-Benz has announced a price hike of up to 3% on models ranging from the C 200 to the Maybach S 680, citing the steep hike in forex rates since Jan that impacted the cost structure of imported cars and price hike will be effective in two phases, first from June 1 and again from Sept 1. The company hopes the staggered hike will allow customers the flexibility to plan their purchases to match their financial India managing director & CEO Santosh Iyer pointed out that forex rates increased by around 10% over the last four months, hiking the prices of components and CBU products. "MBI has continued to absorb this steep cost increase so far, it is now compelled to pass on minimal cost onto the market to offset the impact on operational expenses and maintain business sustainability. The company is passing only a marginal portion of the steep price increase to customers, as it continues to deepen localisation initiatives," Iyer the first phase, the price corrections will range from Rs 90,000 for a C-Class to Rs 12.2 lakh for the Mercedes-Maybach S 680. In the second phase, the price correction will be around 1.5%.The official further pointed out that services from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, like reduced EMI and partial ownership via Star Agility, will ensure that the monthly EMI outflow for customers will remain largely unchanged despite the minimal price revision, thereby minimising the impact on their expenses. Mercedes-Benz India has announced ex-showroom price hike of it's models in the range of ₹9 lakh to ₹12.2 lakh and then by 1.5% later to partly offset a steep 10% increase in forex rates over the last four months. The company has been impacted due to price rise of components and Completely Built Units (CBU). 'While the company absorbs the bulk of the price hike, only a marginal portion is passed on to the market, as Mercedes-Benz India continues to deepen its localization initiatives,' the company said in a statement. The price hike will be in two phases, starting 1-June and then from 1-September to help customers plan their purchases and finance. 'Price corrections will range from ₹90,000 for a C-Class to ₹12.2 lakh for the Top-End Luxury vehicle, Mercedes-Maybach S 680. The second phase of the price revision to the tune of 1.5% will be effective from 1, September 2025,' the company added,' the company said.
