‘The Four Seasons' Dethroned In Netflix's Top 10 List By An Exceptional Show
The Four Seasons Netflix It's that time again, something moves up the list, something moves down. The Four Seasons has been dethroned by a new show on the Netflix Top 10 list, but this time I'm not going to count WWE RAW given that it happens every Monday. Rather, there is a different series that is also above it as The Four Seasons drops to #3. That series would be Forever, a new romantic drama based on a controversial, decades-old Judy Blume book, updated for the modern era. Starring Michael J. Cooper, Lovie Simon and Xosha Roquemore, the story has a rich kid falling for a single mom whose lives change 'forever' when they meet. This show is reviewing amazingly among critics and fans, scoring a 95% Rotten Tomatoes score from both, and it was 100% with critics for a while until a single negative review came in. It also has an impressive 7.8/10 on IMDB, which is good in the context of that site. It is not listed as a miniseries, so it's possible it will continue on for more seasons, if not likely, given this viewership and what is no doubt a relatively low cost. Top 10 Netflix The same question is in place for The Four Seasons, which has not yet been greenlit for season 2 despite great viewership and interest from the cast in returning. I would not stress if I was a fan of the series, as it's still early for Netflix to announce a renewal and it's likely there are just negotiations taking place behind the scenes. It seems like a season 2 renewal is inevitable here. The rest of the list has older hits like You and Ransom Canyon at #4 and #7 respectively. New series The Royals has done well at a #6 debut, and it seems likely to move up from here, despite poor reviews. I just finished watching The Eternaut, the thoroughly bizarre but good sci-fi series out of Argentina which has already been renewed for a second season, which I'm happy to see given the cliffhanger ending season 1 had. The 100% scored Blood of Zeus is at #9, wrapping up a nearly unprecedented run of three separate seasons all scoring a 100%. Deeply impressive. The show is now over, and it seems like it's going to take that record to its grave. It deserves it. We will see how long Forever will last on top, as it will no doubt fully be #1 tomorrow as RAW drops off. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, Bluesky and Instagram.
