Marseille expect to lose Michael Murillo for several weeks
Michael Murillo (29) has played a prominent role under Roberto De Zerbi at Olympique de Marseille. He had started 12 of the last 13 games in Ligue 1 for OM and has become a stalwart in the back three in recent months. However, for the upcoming weeks, De Zerbi may be forced to find alternative solutions. The Panama international was brought off in just the 23rd minute of Sunday night's win over FC Nantes at the Vélodrome. Pol Lirola came on in his place before then later making way himself for Luiz Felipe later in the encounter. Post-match, De Zerbi provided an update on Murillo, revealing that the defender was suffering from a hamstring issue. The Italian manager added that the defender will likely be ruled out for several weeks with the issue. He therefore looks certain to miss next weekend's game against RC Lens, as well as the Classique, against Paris Saint-Germain, later this month. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
