Buitelaar appoint new Animal Health, Welfare and Regulatory Affairs Director
Michael Sheahan has been appointed the new Director of Animal Health and Welfare and Regulatory Affairs for Buitelaar.
Mr Sheahan joins Buitelaar following a career spanning more than three decades. For the last eight years, he has served as Chief Operations Officer and Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer within the Department of Agriculture.

The Buitelaar group is a family-owned beef supplier of Irish and British beef and rosé veal with a particular focus on production sustainability and animal welfare within their supply chain systems.
Mr Sheahan has a degree in veterinary medicine from University College Dublin and a diploma in Management and Industrial Relations from NCI (National College of Ireland).
Buitelaar have said that Mr Sheahan is uniquely positioned to support the beef supplier's ambition to set new standards in responsible and future-facing farming with his years' worth of knowledge spanning veterinary science, regulatory affairs and animal health policy.
