West Scranton woman accused of attacking ex-boyfriend
A West Scranton woman tried to stab her ex-boyfriend in the chest July 2 after an argument, police charge.
After a night out, Kyra Jean Hodgins and Michael Sobolewski returned to Hodgins' residence at about 11 p.m., according to a criminal complaint. An argument between the couple turned physical, Sobolewski said. Hodgins punched him in the face and body and then grabbed his wrists, he said. She grabbed a knife from a cutting block in the kitchen and tried to stab him in the chest, he said.
Hodgins, 18, of 753 N. Main Ave., is charged with assault with a deadly weapon and recklessly endangering another person. She remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. on July 14 before District Judge Paul Keeler.
