Dakota Johnson, Cardi B's sexy butt tattoos are bringing the dreaded ‘tramp stamp' back into fashion
It's bootylicious. When deciding on a tattoo placement, some people seek to find the sexiest place on their bodies. And though the once-taboo 'tramp stamp' — a derogatory term referring to a tattoo on a woman's lower back that was popularized in the '90s — is now desirable again, people are going a little lower with their ink. Advertisement Enter: butt tattoos. Rather than going for the lower back area that's right above the bum, people opting to ink their cheeks. Advertisement Celebrities are hot on the trend, too — Mel B, Halsey and Olivia Wilde have all showed off their booty art, and cinematographer Seamus McGarvey once told the New York Times that he had to hire a 'butt double' for Dakota Johnson on 'Fifty Shades of Grey' due to her tattooed bottom. Tattoos on the backside can be smaller, like Halsey's left butt cheek tattoo which reads 'HOPELESS' or Olivia Wilde's dragon tatted on her right butt cheek — or it can be a piece of art that covers the entire rear, like Cardi B's. 4 Cardi B's tattoo spans from her butt all the way up her back. Instagram The hidden location makes it a desirable spot for someone who doesn't want a visible tattoo in their everyday life — and it also makes the tattoo sexier. Advertisement Butt tattoos are like a little secret for you and whomever you choose to share it with. As one person said on TikTok, 'one of my favorite tattoos and nobody sees it.' 4 Halsey has a tattoo on her left butt cheek that says 'HOPELESS.' Halsey / Instagram There have also been multiple recent TikToks of women going with their best friends to get their husbands' names tattooed on their rear ends in a cheeky way to show affection. Advertisement Someone shared in the comments that they have a tattoo of their wife's 'bite print. actual dental impression.' 4 Halsey showing off her butt tattoo at Playboy's Midsummer Night's Dream party in getting your significant other's name tattooed on your derrière is a sign of love — just look at Hilary Duff's husband, Matthew Koma, who got her name engraved on his bum. 'Good luck winning a fight with your wife when her name's tattooed on your butt cheek,' he wrote on Instagram. The rise of tattoos on the hind comes as women 'are reclaiming negative stereotypes, which were once used to disparage them, as a form of empowerment,' Cleveland-based tattoo artist Melissa Martell previously told Allure. 4 Rather than going for the lower back area that's right above the bum, people opting to ink their cheeks. photoCD – The way people are now looking to bum cheek tattoos echoes how 'tramp stamps' used to be looked at in the past — 'to highlight the lower back and mark seductive, feminine power,' tattoo artist Alessandro Melas told PopSugar. At the time, lower back tattoos were 'a great way to have a tattoo that you could still show off in a fun, sexy way or easily hide it,' added Iron & Ink founder and owner Hawaro Juul Petersen.

Gala at Evergreen Brick Works raises $1.5 million for WoodGreen's UnMet Needs campaign
On May 8 the Evergreen Brick Works was transformed into an Athenian garden to reflect the 'Midsummer Night's Dream' theme for second edition of the UnMet Gala. Nearly 500 business and philanthropic leaders attended the event, presented by Rogers. Led by gala chair Krystal Koo and co-chair Fernanda Dovigi, the event raised more than $1.5 million to support WoodGreen's UnMet Needs campaign. Incoming foundation board chair John Tory announced that with these proceeds, WoodGreen — which works with communities and policymakers to deliver services to meet the unmet needs of Torontonians — is just $1 million away from reaching the campaign goal of $25 million.

27 ModCloth Dresses You'll Never Stop Wearing
A leisurely short-sleeve baby doll dress that has a smock panel *and* functional pockets. Pssst — no one will judge you if you find it so comfortable that you also wear it as a nightgown. 🤫 Promising review: "This is a cute dress. The color is as pictured. The bodice is stretchy, so the dress was a bit loose. The puffy sleeves are loose. If you like a snug fit, I recommend sizing down. I was okay with the slightly looser fit. FYI, do not dry the dress in the dryer. The dress needs to be line-dried. I made the mistake of throwing the dress in the dryer, and it shrank. However, the fabric of the inner skirt did not. So, now when I put it on, you can see the inner skirt. To fix it, I am going to have to get the inner skirt hemmed. Other than that, the dress is a cute dress for spring and summer." —Seion R. Price: $79.99 (originally $95; available in sizes XS–4X) A cuffed-sleeve dress that not only features a cutesy daisy pattern and bold white accents, but also commits to its floral design with flower buttons. Scotland's mini heatwave ends with a bang amid 10-hour yellow warning for thunderstorms
Edinburgh was sweltering too, before a warning for dramatic thunderstorms kicked in around teatime LAST OF THE MIDSUMMER SHINE LAST OF THE MIDSUMMER SHINE Scotland's mini heatwave ends with a bang amid 10-hour yellow warning for thunderstorms THERE was no Midsummer Night's Dream for Scotland as a scorching mini-heatwave ended with a bang. The winter resort of Aviemore in the Highlands proved to be the hottest spot in the country today, reaching 28C (82F) in the afternoon sunshine. 4 Scotland's mini heatwave has ended abruptly with rain and thunder forecast Credit: Tom Farmer 4 Chimpanzees enjoy ice treats at Edinburgh Zoo as they cooled off in the heat Credit: Alan Simpson 4 But a 10-hour weather warning for thunderstorms is in place Credit: PA Edinburgh was sweltering too, before a warning for dramatic thunderstorms kicked in around teatime. Queues built up late in the morning on the A82 at Loch Lomond, the main gateway to outdoor attractions on the west coast. Just a few dozen day-trippers enjoyed the famous Silver Sands of Morar, near Mallaig. It was the third and penultimate day of the Royal Highland Show at Ingliston, on the outskirts of the capital, with thousands enjoying the Midsummer's Day sunshine. At Edinburgh Zoo, chimpanzees were given ice lollies by staff to help them cool down amid the balmy conditions. But tomorrow's closing event may be a less attractive affair as the Met Office warned heat rolling up from England could turn explosive, with lightning, hail, thunder and torrential rain. The Met Office yellow weather warning issued today states: "Whilst some showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected during Saturday afternoon, further and potentially intense thunderstorms are likely to develop during Saturday evening across northwest England and perhaps northeast Wales. 'Whilst there is still some uncertainty in when and where these develop, thunderstorms could produce a combination of frequent lightning, large hail, strong winds and heavy rain - in places up to an inch and a half in under two hours - as they move northeast into northeast England and perhaps southeast Scotland overnight. 'Thunderstorms are expected to move offshore into the North Sea during the latter part of Saturday night.' The 10-hour weather alert is in place from 5pm until 3am tomorrow and covers much of the Scottish Borders. ITV's first female weather presenter Wincey Willis on Good Morning Britain in 1985 Temperatures will drop off considerably tomorrow, with expected highs of 22C in Aberdeen, 20C in Dundee, 19C in Dumfries, Edinburgh and Perth, and 18C in Glasgow, Inverness, and Stirling. Showery spells are expected across most of Scotland tomorrow morning. The weekend had got off to a great start, with Friday registering Scotland's hottest day of the year. The Loch Ness community of Drumnadrochit saw the mercury touch 29C (84F), blitzing the 2025 record from the previous Friday by more than 3C. Met Office forecaster Dan Stroud held out little hope for an improvement next week. He said: "As we head into Sunday and the start of the new week, a noticeable change in the weather is on the horizon. Conditions will gradually turn fresher and cooler, marking a shift from the recent warmth. "The overall pattern will be one of mixed fortunes, with a blend of sunny intervals and scattered showers becoming the dominant theme. "These showers are expected to be particularly frequent and occasionally heavy, especially across northern and western regions, where they may be accompanied by gusty winds at times. "Despite the unsettled spells, there will still be some brighter interludes, offering brief respite and a chance to enjoy some sunshine. 'Later in the week, attention turns to the potential for more significant weather developments. "By Thursday, there is a possibility that a more active weather system could move in from the Atlantic, bringing a spell of wet and windy conditions. Some areas, particularly in the west, could experience strong winds, possibly reaching gale force. 'However, at this stage, confidence in this scenario remains relatively low, and the forecast may evolve as we get closer to the time.' Right on cue, Scotland's schools are due to break up for the summer at the end of next week.

They were two friends who set out to change the face of amateur theatre at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the 1990s. Now the directors of theatre production company Arkle are to retire after 30 straight years of Fringe performances. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Rob McKean and Michael Mulligan are to close the company with a final swansong of two shows - selected by each of them as their former Fringe favourites - at this year's festival. The pair set up the organisation in 1996 after meeting at another local club, Edinburgh People's Theatre. Mr McKean said: 'Arkle started as the result of a couple of bottles of wine in a cottage in the north-west Highlands. We'd both been involved in Edinburgh People's Theatre and back then, there was a set way of doing shows. It was box sets, it was two acts and we realised that we wanted to do something different, we didn't want to do shows in a set format. 'Also we wanted to do it without a committee and a club around it. Back then, people could only act for one club. There was no crossover, that's changed now. So we thought we'd try to do something simple for the Fringe - a short show and see how it went.' Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Their first show was Womerang, by Sue Townsend. 'It was great and people asked us 'what are you doing next year?',' Mr McKean said. Rob McKean (centre) and Michael Mulligan (right) with the cast from last year's Fringe show. | Rob Shields 'So we did. All of that was 29 years ago. This is our 30th on the Fringe. Even during Covid, we did some radio-style productions on Zoom, so we didn't miss a year. But after 30 years of doing it, it is time to stop.' Mr Mulligan added: 'Rob retired last year and I turned 70 in March of this year. These are factors which made us think it was time to stop after 30 years. Seventy is not the same as 40. A lot of people don't appreciate the sheer amount of work that goes on to do this. Also, it is getting staggeringly expensive. I see the future as a lot of what I call 'pop-up theatre'. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad He added: 'But the time to finish something is when you're still enjoying it.' Arkle's 2010 production of a Midsummer Night's Dream. | Arkle The company's second show was A Midsummer Night's Dream, which they are to reprise this year, alongside The 39 Steps, as their final performances. 'We've done what we set out to do,' said Mr McKean. 'Amateur theatre - we prefer to call it unpaid, as we have always tried to do professional level productions - has changed a lot over the last 30 years. There's a lot more crossover between the clubs, we help each other. All of that has developed. Mr Mulligan also runs the Royal Scots Club on Abercromby Place as a venue during the Fringe, both for Arkle and for other amateur clubs putting on shows. He plans to continue to do so next year.
