Police are investigating the deaths of two people found inside a home in rural Minnesota Friday morning.
The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says the bodies of a man and a woman were found in a residence on the 600 block of River Valley Road, on the outskirts of Pierz, at around 10:35 a.m.
Deputies had been called to the home to conduct a welfare check.
No details have been released regarding the identities of the deceased, nor their causes of death. The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office will now conduct autopsies.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has been called in to assist the investigation.
"At this time, authorities believe this is an isolated incident, and there is no known threat to public safety," the sheriff's office said.
