'First Take' Fans Not Happy With Molly Qerim's Replacement originally appeared on The Spun. ESPN's "First Take" remains on the air this week, but with a different crew than usual. Molly Qerim, the host of the popular ESPN morning show since 2015, announced over the weekend that she would be taking a break from the program. Qerim, a University of Connecticut graduate, is taking a much-needed summer vacation. Advertisement The stunning ESPN host announced her break from "First Take" on Sunday afternoon. "Another NBA szn in the books. Thank y'all for rocking with us 10 yrs & counting. Time to work on my tan-lines, shut my brain off & be with the fam. See ya in a few weeks. Grateful always, MQ," she wrote. ESPN's "First Take" pushed on today, though. Qerim was replaced by Evan Cohen at host and a crew of analysts on set, including Mike Tannebaum, David Dennis Jr. and Dan Graziano. The crew discussed the breaking news that was the Dolphins-Steelers trade, featuring two premier players in Jalen Ramsey and Minkah Fitzpatrick. Fans of the program aren't loving her replacement, though. Fans are missing the University of Connecticut graduate on the air on Monday morning. Advertisement "The host on First Take today is worse than Molly," one fan wrote. "I used to watch First Take…the show has become a clown show. Talking about the Lakers and Cowboys too much causes people like me to look elsewhere," one fan added. "These bums don't know what they're talking about," one fan added. Molly on Take/X Thankfully for the fans of "First Take," Qerim won't be gone for too long. The popular ESPN host will be back on the air in a couple of weeks, ahead of the 2025 NFL regular season. For now, the University of Connecticut graduate is enjoying some much needed time away from ESPN - and Stephen A. Smith. We'll welcome Molly Qerim back with open arms, of course.
