Denny Hamlin wins NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover, full results
DENNY HAMLIN WINS AT DOVER!
The NASCAR Cup Series arrived at Dover Motor Speedway, producing plenty of drama. Chase Elliott won Stage 1 while Christopher Bell won Stage 2; however, neither driver was able to close out the event. Instead, a Joe Gibbs Racing driver took home the Miles the Monster trophy after a near one-hour rain delay on Sunday evening.
Denny Hamlin and the No. 11 team for Joe Gibbs Racing won the EchoPark AutoTrader Automotive 400 at Dover, earning their fourth victory of the 2025 season. Hamlin was able to hold off Chase Briscoe, who had 40-plus lap fresher tires on the final restart. On the previous restart, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver held off Bell, who spun out underneath him.
Hamlin's bold strategy of staying out almost failed, but his performance to hold off Briscoe was very impressive. The driver of the No. 11 car now leads the playoff standings with 24 playoff points and continues his strong season. Now, Hamlin will look to finally tame the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway to complete his Crown Jewel resume.
