Saba University's Seventh Scientific Dental Conference Continues in Sana'a

Sana'a - SABA The activities of the seventh Saba Scientific Dental Conference continued for the second day in Sana'a, organized by Saba University over three days with wide academic and medical participation. Dr Amr Al-Najjar, President of Saba University and Chairman of the Conference, explained that the conference seeks to enhance the concept of continuous education for dentists after graduation, encourage faculty members in Yemeni universities in the field of oral and dental medicine and surgery to conduct scientific research, and provide training opportunities for newly graduated dentists through the accompanying courses and scientific workshops. He praised the keenness of the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research and the higher education sector, the Academic Accreditation Council, and the Supreme Medical Council on their interest and efforts to achieve academic excellence and develop education in line with national and international standards. On its second day, the conference reviewed 15 working papers and scientific lectures through three working sessions attended by a number of university leaders, deans of dental colleges, professors and dental graduates. The first session discussed six working papers on "treating posterior primary teeth using stainless steel crowns, deep bite causes, diagnosis and clinical management, bending without breaking, steps to prevent exacerbation of infections during endodontic treatment, temporary anchorage devices as a game changer in orthodontic treatment, and when molars move who is responsible". The second session covered six scientific papers and lectures, the first addressing "orthodontic modeling through the finite element method," while the second touched on "the mechanism for assessing bone thickness for rapid maxillary expansion supported by mini-implants in the palate". The third session provided tips and tricks in dental implants, the fourth presented "the battle of bacterial colonization of space and treatment methods," the fifth discussed "the free lever in dentistry," and the sixth included "the relationship between skull base morphology using and structural malocclusion". The third session reviewed three working papers, the first addressing "secrets of force control in orthodontic retention," the second emphasized "the importance of marketing and digital marketing in dentistry," while the third focused on "opening horizons of regeneration, a new healing strategy using exosomes in nanogel for reprogramming gingivitis conditions". Sana'a - Saba: The branch of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families in the Capital Secretariat today launched the School Bag Project for the children of martyrs and missing persons for the year 1447 AH. The project targets 6,500 male and female students from the families of martyrs and missing persons across schools in the districts of the Capital Secretariat. During the inauguration ceremony in the Al-Safia District, Ziyad Al-Rafeeq, Head of the Technical Office at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, emphasized the continued support for the children of martyrs in all aspects, particularly in education, which aligns with the care of the Revolution Leader and the political leadership, as well as the projects of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families. He stressed the importance of unified efforts and the collective responsibility in supporting the children of martyrs as a minimal duty and gratitude for the immense sacrifices made by the martyrs so that the people of Yemen may live in security, stability, honor, and dignity. Additionally, directors of the Capital Secretariat's districts, alongside leaders from the Martyrs' Families Care Authority offices and educational zones, oversaw the distribution of school bags to the children of martyrs and missing persons in schools. Ministry of Education Announces Basic Certificate Exam Results

Sana'a - (Saba): The Ministry of Education and Scientific Research announced today the results of the Basic Certificate Examinations for the academic year 1446 AH, with a success rate of 90.88 %. In a press statement, the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, congratulated the students on their success in the exams. He explained that the total number of students who took the exams was 295,958. He explained that 288,525 students attended the exam, while 7,433 students were absent. He stated that 262,212 students passed the exam, while 26,313 students failed. The Deputy Minister confirmed that students can obtain their results starting today by calling 161 on their landline or by sending their seating number via an SMS via the Yemen Mobile network. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the teachers who contributed to the success of the school year, as well as the committees working to prepare and implement the basic exams in the capital, governorates, local authorities, security committees, and media institutions, overcoming the repercussions of the ongoing aggression and its unjust blockade on the country. For his part, the Acting Undersecretary of the Curriculum and Education Planning Sector, Hamid Ghathaya, discussed the efforts made to ensure the success of the exams and the electronic marking mechanism within the framework of automating general exams, which mitigated the problems that had previously plagued exams. For his part, the Director General of Examinations, Najib Al-Matari, stated that students who failed one or two subjects will be tested in the supplementary exam scheduled for the 24th of Muharram. Inspection of Initiative Projects Implementation in Bani Matar, Sana'a Governorate

Sana'a – SABA: The First Undersecretary of Sana'a Governorate, Hamed Asem, along with the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, Hadi Ammar, and the Governorate's representative, Taleb Dahan, inspected the progress of development initiative projects supported by the Central Emergency Developmental Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development in Bani Matar District. Accompanied by the District Director, Yahya Al-Qannous, they reviewed the ongoing work on the Jahama – Al-Habatara – Al-Asha road expansion and paving project, spanning 23 kilometers with an 8-meter width, at an estimated cost exceeding 40 million Yemeni riyals. They also examined the progress of the Shamsan – Al-Marjala road project, stretching 12 kilometers with a 5-meter width, funded by the Central Emergency Developmental Interventions Unit at a cost of 25 million riyals, implemented with community participation. Additionally, they inspected the cutting and expansion of the Al-Khallat road, covering 3 kilometers with a 4-meter width, costing 7.5 million riyals, as well as the expansion and paving of the "Jabhan" road, extending 2 kilometers with a 5-meter width, at a cost of 9 million riyals. These projects serve thousands of citizens in the Bani Qais area. During the visit, officials listened to citizens' concerns regarding the challenges they face due to rough roads and difficult transportation, particularly in remote rural areas. The First Undersecretary of the Governorate stated that the visit aimed to assess the implementation level of road initiative projects and their compliance with technical standards and execution quality. He praised the efforts of the Central Emergency Interventions Unit and the local community in executing these vital road projects, which serve as lifelines for residents. He stressed the importance of enhancing community partnership in local development as an effective tool to meet service needs, particularly road projects, which directly alleviate citizens' hardships. For his part, Engineer Shihab Al-Jawfi, representative of the Central Emergency Interventions Unit, urged doubling efforts to complete stalled initiative projects to meet citizens' aspirations and reduce their suffering.
