Meryl Streep Is Officially Back With Miranda Priestly's Iconic White Pixie
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Meryl Streep is back in action as Miranda Priestly, and it's a great day for fans of The Devil Wears Prada. On July 23, the actress was spotted on the set of the upcoming movie, which is scheduled for release in May 2026. Elegant fashions aside, my eyes were immediately drawn to the character's signature white hair, which was styled in a chic short cut. Streep stepped out of her trailer completely in character, donning a tan trench coat as the final touch to her color-blocked outfit. Her hair was in the character's distinctive pixie, with a face-framing side bang, courtesy of an asymmetric side part. A short French manicure, blotted plum lip color, and matte complexion makeup completed the look. Although this is just a small preview of the antics that are sure to ensue between Miranda Priestley and Andy Sachs, it is worth noting that the character playing the head of a popular women's magazine happens to be wearing a timely summer 2025 hair trend. Short haircuts like bobs and lobs have been having a serious resurgence lately, but pixies have also slowly been creeping their way back into the zeitgeist. Celebrities like Teyana Taylor and Halle Berry have long been fans of the cropped cut, and others, like Emma Stone, rediscovered the magic of the style earlier this year. If you've been on the hunt for a short hairstyle, pixies are a great option to keep your hair looking sleek, but out of the way, especially in the warmer summer months. Though they're a shorter cut, you can still play around with styling, as long as you have the right products on hand. Keep reading for the hair tools, mousses, and combs that will make your styling sessions a breeze. Depending on the length of your hair, a mini flat iron might be better to straighten your hair with than a traditional version of the tool. $299 at Sephora Whether you want finger waves or just want to show off your natural hair texture, keep some mousse in close vicinity at all times. $26 at Sephora A hairbrush that also doubles as a parting tool? Put it in the cart. $29 at Sephora I would be remiss not to mention that stunning blotted color that Streep had on her lips. Would Miranda Priestly Approve Anne Hathaway's First 'Devil Wears Prada 2' Sandals?
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Breaking news: The Devil Wears Prada 2 is officially filming in New York City. Bright and early on July 21, Anne Hathaway slipped into Andy Sachs's shoes for the first time since 2006. However, they weren't the on-set stilettos I expected. For her first day on the sequel's set, Hathaway caused a stir in the chunkiest of Birkenstock-ish Chanel sandals. (Perhaps the basis of Andy's next tussle with Miranda Priestly?) While en route to the Manhattan set, Hathaway was snapped by the paparazzi in vintage Dad Slingbacks from Chanel's archives. The double-strap shoes had all the makings of classic Birkenstocks, apart from the tweed exterior and Chanel emblems atop each velcro closure. They originally debuted in former creative director Virginie Viard's Fall 2022 collection, but now, they're only available on select secondhand sites. From there, Hathaway (a.k.a. Andy) paired the statement shoes with a denim maxi skirt in a light, '90s-inspired wash. In the original film, Andy only wore jeans once—a skinny dark-wash pair with a brown leather jacket (you know the one). Hathaway's new look is on-brand for her character, especially since elongated denim skirts are still trending. Next, she slipped on a white racerback tank top, office-proofed via a sleeveless black vest. A few hours earlier, Hathaway shared she was "heading to werk" with her 2.9 million TikTok followers. In the now-viral video, she brushed her teeth in a blue sweater, but it's "not just blue, it's not turquoise, it's not lapis, it's actually cerulean," to quote Meryl Streep's character in the cult-classic movie. Hathaway's knit wasn't cabled like her original on-screen sweater, but The Devil Wears Prada fans clocked the homage immediately. According to paparazzi pics, Hathaway is the first star to arrive on set. We've yet to spot Emily Blunt or Streep in Manhattan, so watch this space for updates in the coming days—no, hours. The duo was spotted sinking once again into the roles of Andy Sachs and Miranda Priestly for their upcoming film. The photos and videos of the two going about filming their scenes amidst busy streets, have gone viral online. While Anne's scenes seem to be more stressful and upbeat, Streep can be seen embodying her cool and calm aura on the set. This has also managed to create a lot of buzz amongst fans of the actors and the film, who have been gathering at the shooting location to catch the actors in action as they filmed the movie in full public display. About 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' Ever since the film started production, fans have been loving the fashionable fits that the duo have been serving with a cup of coffee in hand. The film is reportedly being shot in New York and Italy. The first film of the franchise was released all the way back in 2006, and is based on the story of a fresher, Andy Sachs joining Runway magazine to work under the editor Miranda Priestly. The film ended with her leaving the magazine on a good note to join a popular New York newspaper. The next film will likely pick up years after they last left off and share what has been going on in the lives of the titular characters. Meryl and Anne are back and their outfits in The Devil Wears Prada 2 are already serving looks
Nearly two decades after its release, 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' is in production, generating immense excitement. Leaked set photos reveal Meryl Streep reprising her role as Miranda Priestly, showcasing her signature style. Anne Hathaway returns as Andy Sachs, now a powerful figure in the fashion world, sporting designer looks. When The Devil Wears Prada hit theatres in 2006, it wasn't just another workplace drama, it became a cultural reset for how we look at fashion on screen. With Meryl Streep 's commanding presence as Miranda Priestly and Anne Hathaway 's memorable transformation as Andy Sachs, the film offered a front-row seat to the fashion world's power, politics, and unapologetic glamour. It still remains one of the most referenced and revered fashion films of all time. And now, nearly 20 years later, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is officially in the works and the excitement couldn't be more real. Leaked set photos are already making waves online, giving fans a first glimpse of the returning cast and yes, they've been serving serious looks. Meryl Streep was spotted on set in full Miranda Priestly mode, complete with her signature silver bob and an elegant monochrome outfit that looked every bit editorial-ready. Her coat, structured yet minimal, and her oversized sunglasses reminded everyone why Miranda's fashion choices have always been in a league of their own. Anne Hathaway, on the other hand, is clearly stepping into Andy's power era. She's been photographed in a series of sleek, designer-forward looks, structured coats, statement boots, and expertly tailored silhouettes. From the looks of it, Andy has not only survived the fashion world - she's thriving in it. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like You Won't Believe the Price of These Dubai Apartments Binghatti Developers FZE Get Offer Undo She exudes confidence, polish, and the quiet authority of someone who's made it to the top. Even Stanley Tucci, reprising his role as the ever-stylish Nigel, was seen on set in a classic layered café look, proving once again that he understands the assignment. What makes this sequel more than just another movie is the weight of the original's legacy. The Devil Wears Prada shaped how a generation perceived the fashion industry, showing it as both beautiful and brutal, demanding and deeply creative. It's the rare fashion film that respected clothes as art while revealing the emotional and human cost of success. With the sequel picking up in a post-print world, where Miranda is navigating a dying magazine industry and Andy is now a luxury group executive, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is already shaping up to be both visually iconic and sharply relevant. And if these first behind-the-scenes looks are anything to go by, fashion is not just back, it's about to take centre stage all over again.
