On July 23, the actress was spotted on the set of the upcoming movie, which is scheduled for release in May 2026. Elegant fashions aside, my eyes were immediately drawn to the character's signature white hair, which was styled in a chic short cut. Streep stepped out of her trailer completely in character, donning a tan trench coat as the final touch to her color-blocked outfit. Her hair was in the character's distinctive pixie, with a face-framing side bang, courtesy of an asymmetric side part. A short French manicure, blotted plum lip color, and matte complexion makeup completed the look. Although this is just a small preview of the antics that are sure to ensue between Miranda Priestley and Andy Sachs, it is worth noting that the character playing the head of a popular women's magazine happens to be wearing a timely summer 2025 hair trend. Would Miranda Priestly Approve Anne Hathaway's First 'Devil Wears Prada 2' Sandals?

Bright and early on July 21, Anne Hathaway slipped into Andy Sachs's shoes for the first time since 2006. However, they weren't the on-set stilettos I expected. For her first day on the sequel's set, Hathaway caused a stir in the chunkiest of Birkenstock-ish Chanel sandals. (Perhaps the basis of Andy's next tussle with Miranda Priestly?) While en route to the Manhattan set, Hathaway was snapped by the paparazzi in vintage Dad Slingbacks from Chanel's archives. The double-strap shoes had all the makings of classic Birkenstocks, apart from the tweed exterior and Chanel emblems atop each velcro closure. They originally debuted in former creative director Virginie Viard's Fall 2022 collection, but now, they're only available on select secondhand sites. From there, Hathaway (a.k.a. Andy) paired the statement shoes with a denim maxi skirt in a light, '90s-inspired wash. In the original film, Andy only wore jeans once—a skinny dark-wash pair with a brown leather jacket (you know the one). Hathaway's new look is on-brand for her character, especially since elongated denim skirts are still trending. Next, she slipped on a white racerback tank top, office-proofed via a sleeveless black vest. A few hours earlier, Hathaway shared she was "heading to werk" with her 2.9 million TikTok followers. In the now-viral video, she brushed her teeth in a blue sweater, but it's "not just blue, it's not turquoise, it's not lapis, it's actually cerulean," to quote Meryl Streep's character in the cult-classic movie. Hathaway's knit wasn't cabled like her original on-screen sweater, but The Devil Wears Prada fans clocked the homage immediately. This has also managed to create a lot of buzz amongst fans of the actors and the film, who have been gathering at the shooting location to catch the actors in action as they filmed the movie in full public display. The film is reportedly being shot in New York and Italy. The first film of the franchise was released all the way back in 2006, and is based on the story of a fresher, Andy Sachs joining Runway magazine to work under the editor Miranda Priestly. The next film will likely pick up years after they last left off and share what has been going on in the lives of the titular characters.
