'During the operation, a total of 17 vehicles were inspected. Out of that number, 15 motorcycles were seized under Section 60 of the Road Transport Act 1987 after they were found to have been modified from their original structure and for further inspection.
'Throughout the operation, 15 individuals were also checked, and a total of 55 summonses under PDRM (K) 257 were issued for various traffic offences,' he said in a statement today.
Mohd Farhan said this operation will continue to be carried out from time to time.
He advised road users, especially motorcyclists, to always drive or ride responsibly and cautiously on the road, refrain from participating in illegal street racing, avoid modifying the original structure of vehicles, and not gather at roadsides causing traffic congestion and noise disturbance to public peace.
He warned that reckless and negligent behaviour by drivers and riders can endanger themselves but also other road users. lead miri Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah Op Samseng Jalanan
