Mischa Johnson was six months pregnant and looking forward to welcoming her daughter Armani when she was brutally murdered by her cheating soldier husband Dewayne Johnson Nestled on Oahu's picturesque shores, 19 year old Mischa Johnson was in the throes of an idyllic start to motherhood. At six months pregnant in 2024, Mischa eagerly anticipated her baby girl Armani's arrival, while also savouring newlywed bliss with Dewayne Johnson, a private first class in the US Army, having tied the knot the previous November. The couple had begun crafting their nest on Schofield Barracks military base, ready to embrace life as a family unit. As a Filipino native to Oahu, Mischa was a cherished pillar in her close-knit family. Her days often involved caring for her beloved grandmother and younger family members, earning her the affectionate nickname Auntie Mimi from them. ‌ Her nurturing essence left no doubt that she'd embody the role of a tender mother. Together with Johnson, they curated a baby registry, inviting those dear to their hearts to lavish their unborn Armani with tokens of love. ‌ Mesmerised by the Johnsons' profound affection for one another, relatives frequently commented on their undying romance - the couple was seldom apart, openly displaying their love unabated by the glare of public eyes. Their connection radiated with the freshness of a honeymoon period that showed no signs of waning, but Johnson held a secret. Come July, the beatific news of Mischa's sister Marianna's pregnancy added to the jubilance. Visions of raising cousins side by side filled their conversations with excitement, prompting plans for a celebratory dinner on the evening of 12 July. Their joint foray into parenthood was a future brimming with shared experiences. ‌ The day prior to the anticipated celebration, on 11 July, Mischa enjoyed a shopping spree alongside her mother and even caught up over the phone the following day. Yet, when the time came to meet at the restaurant, Mischa uncharacteristically failed to appear. Concerned, Marianna reached out via text to ascertain her whereabouts, receiving a brief response from Mischa that read, "Home, wasn't feeling good. Sorry." Despite Mischa's physical absence, her acquaintances continued to receive text messages from her. However, something seemed off as the messages didn't match Mischa's usual style, tone or punctuation. ‌ Two weeks later, on 31 July, Mischa's family were taken aback when Johnson reported his wife missing, prompting an investigation. The army put up a $10,000 reward for information and posters featuring 5ft 2in Mischa with her baby bump were circulated. Locals rallied to search the entire island for Mischa, with Johnson joining in. He mobilised his colleagues to assist in the search and spent time with Mischa's family as they anxiously awaited news. Her disappearance was entirely out of character, causing her loved ones to fear the worst. However, investigators began to suspect that Mischa may have been missing for longer than Johnson had claimed. No one had seen her in person since 11 July and her text messages had been peculiar. ‌ They started to scrutinise Johnson's behaviour and found that he had registered on an online dating app and messaged 18 women since Mischa's disappearance. There were even photos on his phone of him kissing and engaging in sexual acts with another woman. Evidence suggested that Johnson was discussing starting a new life with this woman. Did he know Mischa wasn't returning? Johnson was arrested after police found blood, DNA, and other damning evidence at his residence. The officers concluded that although no body was discovered, Mischa and her unborn child were deceased – Johnson being the perpetrator. ‌ He stood before a military tribunal and, in June this year, admitted to charges of voluntary manslaughter, obstructing justice, and making false official statements. To the dismay of Mischa's family and friends, he disclosed the grim details of his actions against his wife and their unborn baby – revealing why their remains might never be located. The 29 year old told the court about a heated argument with his young wife in their room. He claimed she had yelled that his child "won't know that he existed" and in response, he lost control. He recounted seizing a machete that was already present in the chamber and striking her on the head, resulting in the blade lodging in her temple. "I couldn't picture my life without my child," he expressed his regret. "I regret it, I shouldn't have done it." ‌ When Johnson finally extracted the machete from Mischa's skull, he noticed she was no longer breathing. After checking for a pulse and finding none, he acknowledged her death. Johnson confessed to initially attempting to dismember his wife's body with a machete to conceal his crime, but was unsuccessful. He then purchased a chainsaw to complete the task, severing her limbs and head from her torso and placing the body parts into three bin bags, which he then disposed of in a dumpster. Johnson had believed the waste from the dumpster went directly to an incinerator. He offered an apology to Mischa's family, stating, "My wife didn't deserve that. She wasn't trash... I hate myself for what I did, every day. They both deserved so much more. I failed as a husband, I failed as a father, and I failed as a man... I'll forever be sorry." ‌ Mischa's family expressed their profound grief, with Marianna describing the loss of Mischa as a "void in her heart that will never be filled again". Her mother, Frances Tapiz-Andrian, became overwhelmed with emotion as she spoke about her "unbearable grief". "I struggle every day, night," she said. "No matter how many people you meet, losing a person isn't losing a relationship, it's losing a piece of yourself." Johnson received the maximum sentence of 23 years for the murder of his wife and unborn child. He was also required to forfeit his pay and allowances and was dishonourably discharged. He will serve his sentence in a military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Mischa's remains have never been discovered. It is believed she was taken to the island's rubbish incinerator. Johnson waited a fortnight before declaring Mischa as 'missing', providing ample time for her and her unborn child to vanish without a trace.

Six month pregnant teen butchered by soldier in horrific act of anger

Mischa Johnson couldn't wait to meet her first child, but her husband made sure she never would in shocking bedroom outburst that changed the entire course of both their lives On the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii, Mischa Johnson was looking forward to welcoming her first baby. It was 2024 and Mischa, 19, was six months pregnant with a girl, who was already named Armani. Mischa was also a newlywed after marrying Dewayne Johnson, a private first class in the US Army, in November 2023. They were living together on Schofield Barracks military base, starting their new lives and building a family. Mischa, of Filipino descent, had been born and raised in Oahu, and her family were hugely important to her. She often looked after her grandmother and younger relatives, who affectionately called her Auntie Mimi. Everyone knew she was going to make a devoted mum. Mischa and Johnson had even set up a register of baby items they'd picked out so loved ones could spoil their little girl. ‌ The family often remarked on how in love the couple seemed. They were always together and showing affection in public. They still seemed in the honeymoon phase. ‌ In July, Mischa's sister Marianna announced she was pregnant too and Mischa was so happy they would be raising their children together. They arranged to go for dinner on the night of 12 July to celebrate and make plans. Mischa went shopping with her mum on 11 July, and spoke to her on the phone on 12 July, but she didn't turn up at the restaurant to meet her sister that evening. Marianna sent her a text asking where she was and got the reply, 'Home, wasn't feeling good. Sorry.' While no one saw Mischa in person again, people continued to get text messages from her. But something didn't seem right. The messages weren't in Mischa's usual style, in tone or punctuation. ‌ Reported missing Two weeks later, on 31 July, Mischa's family were shocked when Johnson reported his wife missing and an investigation began. The army offered a $10,000 reward for information and posters of 5ft 2in Mischa with her baby bump were distributed. Locals helped search all over the island for Mischa and Johnson joined them. He organised his colleagues to help look and spent time with Mischa's family as they waited, desperately hoping for news. Her disappearance was completely out of character and her loved ones started to fear the worst. ‌ But investigators began to question whether Mischa had been missing longer than Johnson had said. No one had seen her in person since 11 July and her text messages had been unusual. They started to monitor Johnson's behaviour and discovered he had signed up to an online dating app and had messaged 18 women since Mischa had vanished. There were even images on his phone showing him kissing and performing sexual acts with another woman. Evidence showed that Johnson was talking to the woman about starting a new life together. Did he know Mischa was not coming back? When the police found blood, DNA and other incriminating evidence at their home, Johnson was arrested. Officers determined that while they couldn't find a body, Mischa and her unborn baby were dead – and that Johnson had killed her. He faced a military trial and in June this year pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, obstruction of justice and providing false official statements. To the horror of Mischa's loved ones, he revealed what he'd done to his wife and unborn child – and why their bodies were unlikely to be found. Johnson, 29, told the court he had been arguing with his teen wife in their bedroom. He alleged his wife had shouted that his child 'won't know that he existed' and he snapped. He recalled grabbing a machete that was already in the room and hit her over the head with it. Sickeningly, the weapon got stuck in her temple. 'I couldn't picture my life without my child,' he said. 'I regret it, I shouldn't have done it.' ‌ When Johnson eventually managed to get the blade out of Mischa's head, he realised she had stopped breathing. He checked her pulse, but she was dead. Dumped in a bin ‌ Johnson admitted he'd first tried to cut up her body with the machete to cover up what he'd done, but he'd failed. So he went and bought a chainsaw to finish the job. He cut her limbs and head from her torso, leaving them intact, then put the body parts into three bin bags, before putting them all in a dumpster. Johnson said he had heard the rubbish from there went straight to an incinerator. He apologised to Mischa's family. 'My wife didn't deserve that. She wasn't trash,' he said. 'I hate myself for what I did, every day. They both deserved so much more. I failed as a husband. I failed as a father, and I failed as a man… I'll forever be sorry.' Mischa's family spoke of their grief. Marianna said losing Mischa was like a 'void in her heart that will never be filled again'. Her mum, Frances Tapiz-Andrian, was overwhelmed on the stand as she talked about her 'unbearable grief'. 'I struggle every day, night,' she said. 'No matter how many people you meet, losing a person isn't losing a relationship, it's losing a piece of yourself.' Johnson was given the maximum sentence of 23 years for killing his wife and unborn child. He forfeited his pay and allowances and was dishonourably discharged. He will serve his sentence in a military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Mischa's remains have never been found. It's presumed she was transported to the island's refuse incinerator. Johnson waited two weeks before revealing Mischa was 'missing', which was enough time for her, and her unborn baby, to disappear forever.

Dortmund director confirms Jamie Gittens stance after failed Chelsea transfer

Chelsea are hoping to sign Jamie Gittens this summer, but Borussia Dortmund have so far rejected their advances and sporting director Sebastien Kehl has given an update Borussia Dortmund chief Sebastien Kehl has spoken out about Jamie Gittens' future after his move to Chelsea fell through before the Club World Cup. Gittens had agreed personal terms with the Blues and appeared to have his heart set on a move to Stamford Bridge. However, Dortmund rejected a £42million bid for the 20-year-old earlier this month as the Bundesliga side are holding out for a higher fee. As a result, Gittens has travelled with Dortmund to the Club World Cup and came off the bench in their opening game against Fluminense which ended 0-0. ‌ And Dortmund sporting director Kehl has now lifted the lid on talks he held with Gittens in the aftermath of Chelsea's failed bid. "We've had one or two conversations with Jamie in the last few days," Kehl told Fussball Transfers, as per Sport Witness. ‌ "He's professional enough to know he has to perform. That's also in his nature. Jamie will be important for us in this tournament. And we'll see what happens after that. But I don't see him as negative." Discussions remain ongoing between the two clubs about a deal, with Chelsea keen to sign a new winger after Mykhailo Mudryk was charged by the Football Association over a failed drugs test. Mudryk tested positive for a banned substance back in November and has not played for Chelsea since. The Blues are planning for life after Mudryk with the 24-year-old now facing a four-year ban and Gittens is their top target. "We had already one entire season already without Mischa. We are going to decide to go for a winger," Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca confirmed. "In both cases, we have Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto as proper wingers, then we try to adapt with Tyrique George. "It's a position we need to improve. I spoke with Mischa in Poland when we played the Conference League final [on May 28]. I didn't speak with him since that time. To be honest, I didn't see the news. ‌ "They communicated to me last night. But there is nothing at the moment I can add because I don't have more information about that. The last time I spoke with Mischa, as I said, was in Poland and he was quite good. "I didn't see him worried or at least I didn't see him not good. He was good, he was OK. Since that day I didn't speak with him, so I don't know how he is now. But for sure in the next days, and weeks we are going to have direct contact with him."

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca ‘trusts' Mykhailo Mudryk after doping charge

Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk could face up to a suspension of four years following his positive drug test. PHOTO: REUTERS PHILADELPHIA – Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca said on June 19 that he still maintained trust in Mykhailo Mudryk, after the Ukrainian winger was charged by England's Football Association (FA) with violating anti-doping rules. But he also confirmed that the club were looking to strengthen in his position. 'Mischa is a Chelsea player. As long as he is a Chelsea player, I will trust all the Chelsea players,' Maresca told reporters in Philadelphia ahead of his team's Club World Cup clash with Flamengo on June 20. Mudryk has not played for Chelsea since Nov 28 following his provisional suspension by the FA for an 'adverse finding in a routine urine test' in December. He was reported to have had the prohibited performance-enhancing substance meldonium in his positive test and could face a potential ban of up to four years under FA rules. Mudryk, who has denied intentional wrongdoing, is not with the Chelsea squad for the tournament in the United States and Maresca said he has had no contact with the player since the Uefa Conference League final win over Real Betis in Poland late in May. 'The last time I spoke with Mischa was in Poland and he was quite good,' he said. 'Since that day I have not spoken with him so I don't know how he is now but for sure in the next days, in the next weeks, we are going to have contact with him.' Mudryk was signed from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 for €100 million but his time at Chelsea has been dogged by inconsistency. He has scored just 10 goals in 73 appearances in all competitions for the Blues. Maresca revealed that he is hoping to sign a new wide attacker before the start of the Premier League season. 'We had already one entire season almost without Mischa, last season, and we tried to find different solutions with some of the academy players, like Tyrique (George), but we are going to decide to go for a winger,' the Italian said. 'It is quite clear that it is a position we need to improve.' Meanwhile at the Club World Cup, Chelsea can expect to face challenging conditions with heat and humidity rising in Philadelphia in recent days and the match starting at 2pm local time – after press time in Singapore. The game is likely to be key in deciding who tops Group D with both teams fresh from winning their opening match at the tournament – Chelsea got the better of Los Angeles FC in Atlanta while Flamengo defeated Esperance. Maresca added that he has reduced the intensity and duration of training sessions to ensure his players remain competitive for the matches ahead. 'It's not easy because of the temperature,' he said. 'We're going to try to rotate players. We need to rotate three, four, or five players each game. It's impossible for players to be at 100 per cent for 11 months straight.' Chelsea boss Maresca 'trusts' Mudryk after doping charge

CHELSEA coach Enzo Maresca said Thursday he still maintained trust in Mykhailo Mudryk after the Ukrainian winger was charged by England's Football Association with violating anti-doping rules, but confirmed the club were looking to strengthen in his position. ''Mischa' is a Chelsea player. As long as he is a Chelsea player, I will trust all the Chelsea players,' Maresca told reporters in Philadelphia ahead of his team's Club World Cup meeting with Flamengo on Friday. Mudryk was signed from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 for 100 million euros ($115m) but his time at Chelsea has been dogged by inconsistency. He has scored just 10 goals in 73 appearances in all competitions for the Blues. Wary of Flamengo Maresca revealed that he is hoping to sign a new wide attacker before the start of the Premier League season. 'We had already one entire season almost without 'Mischa', last season, and we tried to find different solutions with some of the academy players, like Tyrique (George), but we are going to decide to go for a winger,' Maresca said. 'It is quite clear that it is a position we need to improve.' Chelsea can expect to face challenging conditions on Friday against Flamengo, with heat and humidity rising in Philadelphia in recent days and the match starting at 2:00 pm local time. The game is likely to be key in deciding who tops Group D with both teams fresh from winning their opening match at the tournament -- Chelsea got the better of Los Angeles FC in Atlanta while Flamengo defeated Esperance. Maresca said the conditions could favour the Brazilian giants and added that he would make several changes to his line-up -- the likes of Enzo Fernandez, Malo Gusto and new signing Liam Delap are among those pushing for starts. 'It is not easy because of the temperature. This is the reason why we are going to try to rotate players,' the coach added. 'Unfortunately for us Brazilian teams are more used to playing with this kind of temperature, but it doesn't matter, we will try to do our best and win the game.' Flamengo, coached by former Atletico Madrid and Chelsea player Filipe Luis, are top of the Brazilian league and have lost only one of their last 16 games. 'They are a very good team, they play nice football, it is nice to watch them,' Maresca said. 'Like any Brazilian team they are full of quality, technical players, and we will need to be at our best to win the game.' Filipe Luis, who came up against Maresca when both played in Spain, said he had 'amazing memories' of his time at Chelsea after making 26 appearances under Jose Mourinho in 2014/15. 'I had the opportunity to win the Premier League with Mourinho and also the League Cup, so two titles in one season, and I was really happy there,' he said. 'I didn't play enough, especially because Cesar Azpilicueta was amazing that season and didn't let me play. 'It was an amazing experience to play in the Premier League for Chelsea and I have a lot of friends there in the club and the city so it will be a special moment for me.'
