'The one with the divine voice' - Malaysian legend Misha Omar to serenade fans at her solo concert on Nov 29 in KL
Malaysian legendary singer Misha Omar, popularly known as the 'Divine Voice', who is currently at the peak of her career, has now taken a step further. At 43, and with over two decades of musical excellence under her belt, the three-time Anugerah Juara Lagu Best Vocalist has now announced her mega-solo concert. In a special media announcement on Thursday (July 10), Misha said that she will be staging her mega solo concert at the Mega Star Arena on Nov 29. Many of her fans say her voice is just divine, and she has always been in the limelight since the new millennium. This time, Misha aims to party it out with her fans come November 29. The renowned songstress and local legend recently returned to the spotlight with "Break", a stirring and emotional new single that marks her first-ever collaboration with Indonesian music legend Melly Goeslaw. The amazing singer breathes life into "Break", a beautifully crafted composition by Melly Goeslaw, with musical arrangement by celebrated producer Tohpati. "Break" also adds another meaningful entry to her rich catalogue, following last year's single "Masihkan Ada Rasa Itu". Yet beyond personal milestones, Misha sees this project as a celebration of the musical richness of the Nusantara region. "Break" has been available for streaming and download since Friday, June 20, on all major platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music. It has an aptly named teaser for the new song -- Don't take a break— tune in to "Break". And come Nov 29, Misha's super concert has been aptly named 'DiA Misha Omar'. The concert also comes after her stupendous success with her "Misha Omar Back To Basic" showcase in Petaling Jaya last year. This year's concert is brought to fans by music and art house producers Double M Production together with Altus Prohouse as the managers for the "DiA Misha Omar" concert. As the organiser, Double M Production emphasises that "DiA Misha Omar" is not a sequel to the showcase organized last December. "The concert is instead a celebration of Misha's artistic journey, celebrating the music that remains fertile and a sign of appreciation for the support she has received for more than two decades throughout his career as an entertainer. "'DiA Misha Omar' also marks a new phase of the entertainer's journey, where she does not always perform concerts - by her own choice," said the organisers. "Getting to know Misha Omar, she is an entertainer who always likes something simple but leaves or prints great value behind every job she does. "Just like the choice of title, this concert is about storytelling conveyed through his works and the 'black and white' of his 23-year journey in the art industry. "The concert is also expected to be a moment to share sweet things with fans since the days of Bunga-Bunga Cinta until her latest single, Break," said the organisers. Meanwhile, concert managers Altus Prohouse said that they will ensure that fans who attend enjoy satisfaction and new experiences that have never been obtained through Misha Omar's performance before. "We will ensure something of quality, a great concert experience with a line-up of musicians and stage performances from the legendary Misha Omar at the best level at 'DiA Misha Omar', on the night of Nov 29. "How it will go and what will happen, all of that will be answered when you become one of the real witnesses of 'DiA Misha Omar' at Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur," said Miselyn Yee Siew from Altus Prohouse. As for Misha, she said that this kind of concert is something that she has always wanted to do for her fans. "It's not just about me alone, but about how the career struggle that has been going on for over 20 years has been meaningfully supported by industry players and fans," said Misha. "Ironically, I never had a fan club, but with the power of the quality work given to me, with the fans' trust that I am still relevant to entertain them, and also my artistic journey that I have been able to endure to this day. "It has been more than two decades of a journey for me. It is time for me to share that with my fans who have been the pillars of my strength. Join me for an unforgettable night on Nov 29," said Misha Tickets will go on sale on July 25 at 10am. Venezuela Fury receives ENORMOUS ‘I'm sorry, I love you' flowers from mystery ‘boyfriend' & fans have stark warning
MANY people don't want to cross a protective father-in-law - so imagine what it's like for Venezuela Fury, whose dad is boxer Tyson Fury. But it seems that one chap found himself in the dog house with 15-year-old Venezuela, as she revealed she received a gigantic bunch of apology flowers. 7 Venezuela Fury showed off the enormous bunch of flowers she was given from a mystery person Credit: tiktok/@venezuelafuryofficial 7 The flowers had an apologetic note attached - suggesting someone had made a 'mistake' Credit: tiktok/@venezuelafuryofficial 7 Some fans speculated if the flowers were from Noah Price, who went to Royal Ascot with Venezuela last month Credit: instagram/7noahprice 7 The stunning bunch were adorned with shimmering butterflies Credit: tiktok/@venezuelafuryofficial The eldest child of the 'Gypsy King' and wife Paris, posted a video on her public TikTok where she has 6 million likes showing off the colourful bouquet which was adorned with fake butterflies. The flowers had a card attached, which read: 'I'm sorry, I love you.' Although Venezuela didn't reveal who the flowers were from, fans were quick to speculate in the comments that it was from a boyfriend who had messed up and offered her a stark warning. One person wrote: 'Burn them.' Another added: 'Is he bothering you queen.' And a third commented: 'Burn them, he's not sorry.' Venezuela hasn't officially announced that she has a boyfriend, but she was seen at Royal Ascot with boxer Noah Price - who could be a candidate for sending the bouquet. The sports fan, who is an East Midlands belt holder, is the only bloke that Venezuela follows on Instagram that isn't her family. The boxer has shared a number of snaps on social media, including of his new 'van' and passing his driving test last year, which indicates he could now be aged over 18. They were previously seen with a group of friends together at a wedding last year. 'Beautiful' fans gasps as Venezuela Fury, 15, shows off her model-looks in 'stunning' gypsy wedding co-ord For the event, Venezuela stunned in a lemon yellow satin gown - a £443 number from Montaigne Market's Misha collection - which featured a high cowl neck, a backless draped detail and a thigh-high split. Venezuela teamed the dress with a rose gold Chanel bag that she borrowed from mum Paris, which probably comes in at around £10,000, and a pair of strappy heels. Paris and Tyson are parents to Venezuela, 15, Prince John James, 14, Prince Tyson II, eight, Valencia, seven, Prince Adonis Amaziah, six, Athena, three, and Prince Rico, two. The family recently opened their doors to Netflix for their At Home with the Furys documentary, which has been renewed for a second series. 7 Venezuela, 15, lives with parents Tyson and Paris Fury, who have seven kids in total Credit: Instagram/@parisfury1 VENEZUELA LEAVING SCHOOL Two years ago, Paris confirmed that her two eldest children would not be returning to school. Paris explained that her eldest two would instead be home-schooled, as it is the 'traveller way.' Posting on Instagram, Paris took to her stories and shared: 'All four little ones are in school/nursery and the big two with tutor for homeschool.' This means that Venezuela and Prince John James undertake their studies from the Fury family's £1.7million Morecambe mansion instead. 7 Venezuela and Prince John James are both homeschooled Credit: Instagram/parisfury1 7 The family recently starred on their Netflix documentary, At Home with the Furys Credit: Courtesy of Netflix She admitted she had experienced backlash from other parents about her choice to homeschool Venezuela, but insisted she's 'not taking away any chances' from her. Speaking on the show, Paris said: 'It's nothing new to us. It's what our culture, our race of people as gypsies and travellers, have always done. "We gave Venezuela the option - do you want to go to high school or be homeschooled? "I had such a bad backlash, 'you've took away her chances for this, her chance for that?' "I haven't took away her advantages because she will sit her levels and go through the full extent of schooling. "When she is 15 and 16, if she wants to go into further learning, she can." As explained on the Government website, you can teach your child at home, either full or part-time. Paris met her husband of 16-years at a mutual friend's wedding when she was just 15, like Venezuela, and the boxer was 17. Her and Tyson began dating when Paris turned 16 and were married when she was 19 and he was 21. So will Venezuela tread a similar path? Time will tell.

Fake Sangeet comes to Chennai
Yet, it didn't keep the guests off the dance floor. The traditional dhols came to the rescue. 'We had to stop the DJ due to the rain and electricity fluctuations, but we had dhols play for the rest of the night, and people just kept dancing in the rain. It actually became the most enjoyed part of the night,' says Misha. For Zenil Sunil Gada, an undergraduate student, the experience was unlike anything he'd seen in the city. 'It felt fresh, fun, and something Chennai hadn't seen before. The vibe was chaotic and desi — exactly what I was hoping for,' he says. 'The mehendi station, the food, the dhol, everything felt like a real wedding. And the rain made it unforgettable.' Engineering student Saurav Mishra from Mumbai was equally impressed. 'The dhol completely stole the show. From the moment it started, everyone hit the dance floor,' he says. 'It was better than a regular party, it had that extra desi energy.' The ticket for the event was priced at `1,499 which included unlimited food. The wedding-grade feast had everything — from welcome drinks to starters like chilli paneer and crispy potato butterflies, to mains and desserts like eggless chocolate truffle cake to satisfy the sweet cravings. And then, there were the extras that added Sangeet vibe — free mehendi stations, glitter booths, and, of course, dhol to grab the attention of mall-goers, resulting in walk-ins.

Breaking out of the box can bring its own rewards
While tasting this Pinot Gris lineup with my colleague Mr Collins, we had considerable discussion about one of the wines: he initially struggled with the style, whereas I was a fan. Its hue and texture suggested time on skins, there was a hint of oxidative handling, it ticked some different boxes. Mr Collins is a consumer advocate and ventured the comment "would the average consumer think this is 'correct' and/or typical of the variety?" Typicality is something that many consumers aspire to; past experience leads to an expectation of what you get in a bottle/glass of wine. Yet winemakers pushing the envelope while embracing being atypical can bring its own rewards. 2024 Rockburn Central Otago Pinot Gris RRP $28 Price Rating Excellent Deeper colour. Red apple, pear, a light toffee note, flirts with savoury notes, white flowers florality more perfumed as it opens. Not your "typical" Gris, quince, apple, preserved lemon, a sense of development, then a rapier-like bolt of acidity. Dry, a grainy quality, quite different mouthfeel with a chalky aspect. If you're looking for standard Gris, look away, if you seek something fascinating, jump in boots and all. 2024 Martinborough Vineyard Te Tera Pinot Gris RRP $23.99 Price Rating Very Good to Excellent Attractively fragrant, apple and apricot, generous and engaging. Fatness and viscosity in the mouth, just a whisper off-dry yet freshness too and bright lift on the close. Rounded, dry honey, classically appealing Gris. With time the nose is more subtle, by contrast the palate more exuberant and if you're a Pinot Gris fan this will be bang on the money. 2024 Roaring Meg by Mt Difficulty Central Otago Pinot Gris RRP $22.99 Price Rating Very Good to Excellent Bright, youthfully expressed nose, pears poached in honey, perfume, a wisp of herb in the background, a little stony mineral perhaps. Sweetly fruited palate, candied fruits, fruit pastille, lime zest, this runs the fruit sweet path rather than being overtly sweet. Nice grip and refreshing acidity on the close adds to the whole. Very nicely done. 2024 Mt Difficulty Central Otago Pinot Gris RRP $26.99 Price Rating Very Good to Excellent An impression of being drier. Subtly attractive notes of nectarines and citrus, wisps of lanolin and herb with air. The palate offers fruit lozenge fruit sweetness, countered by juicy apple, a hint of bittersweet apricot kernel continuing the drier theme. With time gently nutty aspect to the nose, while a seashell nuance adds contrast to the palate. Builds nicely in the glass. 2024 Misha's Vineyard Dress Circle Central Otago Pinot Gris RRP $34 Price Rating Excellent Musk leaps out of the glass, rose, spices, nectarine, lovely fragrance. Creamy texture, carrying the characters from the nose to the palate, that spicy quality really evident, a mineral note, closing on lime zest. A drier style with impeccable balance, air sees this flesh out, the fruit sweetness now clear to see yet still closing dry. In a really good place to enjoy now. 2024 Pegasus Bay Whole Bunch Fermented Sauvignon Blanc RRP $28 Price Rating Excellent Bold nose with nettle, cut grass, smoke, orange rind, gooseberry joining in too. Nice vibrancy in the mouth, sweetly ripe fruit, melding that ripeness with the classically green herbal tanginess, again a cooling quality on the long, crisp finish. This is all in super balance, fleshing out further with air, the flavours even more intense, filling the mouth.
