DBS Maintains Hold Rating on NIO Inc. (NIO) Stock
On June 5, DBS analyst Rachel Miu maintained a Hold rating on NIO Inc. (NYSE:NIO) and set a price target of HK$38.00. The rating update came after the company reported its unaudited fiscal Q1 2025 results on June 3. The analyst stated that the company underwent a 19% year-over-year increase in vehicle revenue driven by a 40% rise in vehicle sales. However, lower average selling price because of a change in the product mix is causing challenges for the company's operations. A fleet of eco-friendly electric cars, a symbol of the company's commitment to sustainability. Miu also reasoned that while NIO Inc. (NYSE:NIO) experienced a minute improvement in its vehicle margin, underperformance in fiscal Q4 2024 and weaker-than-expected guidance for Q1 2025 are anticipated to negatively affect its near-term performance. NIO Inc. (NYSE:NIO) plans to launch a number of new brands and models in 2025, including the ONVO L90 and Firefly. However, the analyst stated that the transition to a new vehicle platform may trigger inconsistent sales trends until the stabilization of the production process. The analyst thus expects the non-GAAP net loss for fiscal year 2025 to widen, prompted by the expected rise in costs associated with the new stores, R&D, and brand marketing. Li Auto, Inc. Class A (L87) Receives a Buy from DBS
In a report released today, Rachel Miu from DBS maintained a Buy rating on Li Auto, Inc. Class A (L87 – Research Report), with a price target of HK$136.00. Confident Investing Starts Here: According to TipRanks, Miu is a 4-star analyst with an average return of 18.0% and a 48.91% success rate. Miu covers the Consumer Cyclical sector, focusing on stocks such as Geely Automobile Holdings, Nexteer Automotive Group, and XPeng, Inc. Class A. In addition to DBS, Li Auto, Inc. Class A also received a Buy from J.P. Morgan's Nick Lai in a report issued yesterday. However, on May 30, Macquarie maintained a Hold rating on Li Auto, Inc. Class A (Berlin: L87). Based on Li Auto, Inc. Class A's latest earnings release for the quarter ending December 31, the company reported a quarterly revenue of €44.27 billion and a net profit of €3.52 billion. In comparison, last year the company earned a revenue of €41.73 billion and had a net profit of €5.66 billion

His friend, Hong Kong actor Michael Miu, commemorated the occasion by posting two photos on Instagram: one of them on a hilltop and another featuring Miu's wife, actress Jaime Chik, alongside them. "He is my role model in whatever he does," Miu, 66, wrote in Chinese. "Happy 70th birthday to my most respected brother. Live a carefree and happy life." Joining their exercise routine was Hong Kong singer Calvin Choy, 60, from the Cantopop trio Grasshopper, along with his wife and daughter. Choy shared a video of their outing with Chow, writing in English: "Happy 70th birthday to my super idol." A passionate jogging and hiking enthusiast, Chow frequently appears on the social media accounts of his celebrity friends, including actress Carina Lau, actor Felix Wong, and singer Alan Tam, with whom he often works out. Chow is also an avid runner. His most recent public run was the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon in February, where he completed the 21km half-marathon in 2 hours, 24 minutes, and 33 seconds. He also celebrated his 69th birthday in 2024 by jogging 6.9km with Miu, Wong, and celebrity couple Edwin Siu and Priscilla Wong.
