New Film ‘El Gawahergy' Reunites Henedy & Mona Zaki After 27 Years

After 27 years and post-production delays, Mohamed Henedy and Mona Zaki will star in 'El Gawahergy,' a comedy about marital woes, finally releasing this summer. Jun 24, 2025 Egyptian cinema icons Mohamed Henedy and Mona Zaki are teaming up again in 'El Gawahergy,' a comedy chronicling a couple seeking psychiatric help amid marital troubles. It marks their first on-screen collaboration since 1998's Sa'idi Fe El Gama'a El Americia—a 27-year reunion. Directed by Islam Khairy and scripted by Omar Taher, the film also features Tara Emad, Ahmed Salah El Saadany, Lebleba, and Reem Mustafa. Production delays have pushed its release to July 30th, 2025, moving it out of the Eid al-Adha window to a summer launch.

Mohamed Henedy returns to Ramadan 2025 with new series, ‘Shehadet Moamalet Atfal'

Mohamed Henedy enters the 2025 Ramadan race with 'Shehadet Moamalet Atfal' (Child Treatment Certificate), his latest comedic endeavor. The series is a social comedy-drama that centers around the story of lawyer Abdel Sattar Abu Kaff, who gets into a car accident and falls unconscious for 20 years. Upon waking up, he faces significant transformations in his life and society, which puts him in front of challenges, and humorous and exciting situations. The series is scheduled to air on the following channels: CBC, DMC, ON, Al Hayah, and the Watch It platform. Written by Mohamed Soliman Abdel Malek and directed by Sameh Abdel Aziz, 'Shehadet Moamalet Atfal' stars Mohamed Henedy, alongside Sabry Fawaz, Sama Ibrahim, Mahmoud Hafez, Noha Abdeen, Walid Fawaz, and Khaled Anwar.

"Shahada Moamla Atfal" Gets Teaser

Yara Sameh The official teaser for veteran Egyptian actor Mohamed Henedy's upcoming TV series "Shahada Moamla Atfal" has been unveiled. The cast also stars Hana Shiha, Noha Abdeen, Sabry Fawwaz, Samaa Ibrahem, Mahmoud Hafez, Khaled Anwar, and more. It is scripted by Mohammed Suleiman Abdul-Malik, directed by Sameh Abdelaziz, and produced by United Studios. "Shahada Moamla Atfal" consists of 15 episodes and is set to debut in the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon. The drama witnesses the second collaboration between Henedy, Shiha, and Abdelaziz after the 2018 comedy TV adaptation of "Ard El Nefak" (Land of Hypocrisy). The reimagining is based on a novel by Youssef El Sebai of the same title, " Ard El Nefak" which revolves around Masoud, a man fed up with his dead-end life who starts taking pills that play on his morals and gives him a different personality every day. It featured a star-studded cast that included the late Dalal Abdel Aziz, Mohamed Tharwat, Salwa Mohamed Ali, Samy Maghawry, and more. "Ard El Nefak" was directed by Abdel Aziz and Mohamed El Adl from a screenplay adapted by Ahmed Abdallah. "Shahada Moamla Atfal" also witnesses Anwar's comeback to the marathon after two years of absence. He made his last participation in the drama marathon in the 2023 star-studded TV series 'Risalat El Emam'.
