AL-FURA'A, Israel — With the red evening sun still slanting across the Negev desert, the Gabo'a family began moving into its emergency home for the night: the bed of a dump truck that Mohammad Gabo'a, 43, had flipped over and buried in the sand.
'It is the only protection we have,' Gabo'a said Monday. 'When the sun is setting, we come here.'
