KUALA LUMPUR: Police detained two foreign men yesterday for allegedly impersonating a public servant and engaging in a physical altercation at Jalan Dinar, Taman Subang Perdana, Kampung Baru Subang, Selangor. Sungai Buloh police chief Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said authorities received a distress call at 1.15 pm, prompting patrol officers to intervene. 'Upon arriving, officers arrested two foreign nationals, aged 26 and 32, suspected of involvement in the fight. One was found handcuffed inside a car,' he stated. Initial investigations revealed the dispute arose from a personal disagreement between the two individuals, who were reportedly friends. Police seized two Perodua cars and a pair of handcuffs from the scene. The case is being investigated under Section 160 (affray) and Section 170 (impersonating a public servant) of the Penal Code, as well as Section 89 of the Police Act 1967 for unlawful possession of police equipment. Mohd Hafiz urged witnesses or those with additional information to contact the Kampung Baru Subang police station at 03-7846 2322 or Inspector Ekmal Hasif Mohd Noor at 011-35396787.

"Upon arriving at the scene, the officers arrested two foreign nationals aged 26 and 32, who were suspected of being involved in the fight. One of the suspects was found handcuffed inside a car. "Preliminary investigations revealed that the fight between the two individuals, who are friends, stemmed from a disagreement over a family matter," he said in a statement on Sunday. He said police seized two Perodua cars found at the scene and a pair of handcuffs, adding that the case is being probed under Section 160 and Section 170 of the Penal Code for causing affray and impersonating a public servant, as well as Section 89 of the Police Act 1967 for the unlawful possession of police equipment. SUNGAI BULOH – A man was killed, believed to have been stabbed by his housemate, in an incident at Kampung Kubu Gajah, Sungai Pelong on Wednesday. Sungai Buloh District Police Chief Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said the police received an emergency call through the District Police Headquarters (IPD) Control Centre (DCC) at 11.26pm. He said the information received was regarding a fight that had occurred at a house, prompting a team of police officers to be dispatched to the scene. 'Upon arrival, officers found two local men in the living room of the house. One of them, a 33-year-old man, was found unconscious and lying on the floor with a stab wound to the left side of his chest,' he said in a statement on Thursday. He added that the other man, believed to be the 40-year-old suspect, was also at the scene and was immediately detained for further investigation. 'Medical personnel from Sungai Buloh Hospital arrived at 12.01am and confirmed that the victim had died at the scene. 'Initial investigations revealed that both individuals were housemates and had only recently arrived from Kelantan three days ago,' he said. Police also seized a knife believed to have been used by the suspect in the stabbing. 'The victim's body has been sent to the Forensic Department of Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem examination. 'The suspect was brought to the Shah Alam Magistrate's Court for a remand application, and the court has granted a six-day remand for further investigation,' he added. Mohd Hafiz said the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. 'The public is advised not to speculate on the incident. See Hua Daily News , citing multiple sources, said the duo, aged 44 and 42, were allegedly key figures in triads operating in Bintulu and Sibu. Both had prior criminal records, with one of them having at least four including for murder, rioting, and possessing weapons during a riot. The report stated that following the Bintulu shooting, the pair went into hiding in Kuala Lumpur. The authorities, however, have yet to confirm these details, it added. According to earlier news reports, the two men were shot multiple times on their bodies and heads by a group of unidentified individuals, who rushed at the pair as they and other individuals were about to enter a vehicle to leave the shopping mall at Jalan Loke Yew. Security camera footage at the mall showed the shooting was perpetrated by five persons, with the incident lasting about 30 seconds. The Nov 7 Bintulu hotel incident claimed the life of a 36-year-old man, identified by police as Peter Ling Deng Sing from Sibu, who was shot and slashed to death at the fourth floor car park. Deputy Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad said the investigation is ongoing, with efforts underway to determine the motive and identify the suspects. 'The case is being probed under Section 302 of the Penal Code,' he said in a media statement. The victims, both local men in their 40s, died at the scene after a group of men in ski masks opened fire from inside a vehicle.
