Kudat police chief Supt Mohd Haris Ibrahim said the 47-year-old rider and his wife, who was riding pillion, were travelling from Kota Kinabalu towards Kudat at the time. Preliminary findings suggest the rider lost control while trying to avoid a dog that ran across the road, causing the motorcycle to veer into the opposite lane and collide with an oncoming four-wheel-drive vehicle. The rider sustained severe leg injuries while his wife suffered minor injuries, and both were taken to Kudat Hospital for treatment. District Fire and Rescue Station chief Darickson Galanang said a five-member team was dispatched at 6.25pm to provide first aid before handing the couple over to Health Ministry paramedics for further medical care. * Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel and Telegram for breaking news alerts and key updates! * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
