Jenna Ortega Plots to Save Enid After Visions of Her Death in ‘Wednesday' Season 2 Trailer
Mystery and mayhem abound in Netflix's official trailer for Wednesday Season Two. The trailer starts with a clip similar to that of the teaser released in April, with Wednesday's mother Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) commenting that her daughter Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) returning to Nevermore Academy marks the first time she elected to go back to a school of her own accord. Wednesday likens it to 'Returning to the scene of the crime. I already know where all the bodies are buried.' Once there, she's greeted like a celebrity, with Steve Buscemi's character (a new series regular) telling her, 'It is an honor to meet the savior of Nevermore,' and fellow students asking for her autograph ('I only sign my name in blood,' Wednesday quips). However, her (unwanted) hero's welcome is soon marred by her visions of causing her roommate's Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) death. Across a morbid montage of Wednesday's family, ghoulish creatures, black tears, makeshift zip-lining and more, the trailer teases an action-packed school year for the young Addams. Watch: Jenna Ortega must save Emma Myers in ‘Wednesday' Season 2
July 9 (UPI) -- Netflix is previewing Part 1 of Wednesday Season 2 with a new trailer. The teaser released Wednesday shows the titular character (Jenna Ortega) grappling with a disturbing prophecy after returning to her beloved Nevermore Academy. "During one of her psychic visions, she learns that her best friend and roommate Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) will die -- and that she's somehow responsible," an official synopsis reads. Wednesday confides in her mother, Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), who declares, "I will not let history repeat itself." Zeta-Jones told Netflix's Tudum that "one would think" Wednesday and Morticia's relationship would have improved by Season 2. "But one finds that it's a little bit more strained," she said. "So that's always wonderful to play." Wednesday commits to saving Enid "or die trying." The upcoming season will also star Evie Templeton, Steve Buscemi, Isaac Ordonez, Luis Guzman and Joanna Lumley. Season 2, Part 1 arrives on the streamer Aug. 6, while Part 2 premieres Sept. 3. 2025 United Press International, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

‘Wednesday' Creators Share Intriguing New Details For Season 2
If there's one thing for certain about the infamous Addams Family, it's that they always find a way to veer towards the unexpected, offsetting any thoughts or notions audiences had planned for the notoriously macabre family. Nowhere can this characteristic be more readily seen than in Netflix's ultra-popular dark comedy series, Wednesday. Starring Jenna Ortega as the titular brooding protagonist, Wednesday earned significant acclaim upon its initial premiere in the autumn of 2022. As viewers wonder what misadventures the show has in store for the character, Wednesday's creators have offered tantalizing new details about the show's upcoming second season. Above all else, Wednesday's showrunners (Miles Millar and Alfred Gough) promised the series would have plenty of new surprises for Season 2, including a slew of new characters alongside more than a few familiar faces, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. "We certainly set out to really stretch ourselves and stretch what the show could do and see where our characters could go," said Millar. "The last thing you want is people to be disappointed having waited for so long. We really want to ensure that the show is loaded with surprises and comedy and action, and that they see the characters they love, but also introduce new ones." In particular, the two showrunners promised a new emphasis on some of Wednesday's most dysfunctional family members, such as her younger brother Pugsley and her enigmatic parents, Morticia and Gomez. "You get to explore the mother-daughter dynamic with Wednesday and Morticia [with Season 2]," Gough observed. "So it's really delving more into the Addams family and their backstory, but also their relationships. You can have a family that loves each other, but there's still issues and clashes." If that weren't exciting enough, Wednesday's creators have also introduced a long-standing fan-favorite in Season 2 with Joanna Lumley's lovably chaotic, Grandmama. "She's a whole different flavor of Addams that brings such delicious fun to the show and into the family," Millar said of Lumley's character. "We weren't sure how many episodes that character should be in, but seeing how well it played, I think Grandmama will definitely be coming back if we get a season 3."
