33-year-old man drowns near boat launch in central Wisconsin, authorities recover body
GREEN VALLEY, Wis. (WFRV) – The body of a 33-year-old man was recovered after he reportedly jumped into water near a boat launch in central Wisconsin and drowned on Thursday.
Deputies with the Marathon County Sheriff's Office say they were called to a possible drowning near the bridge on County Road S near Lisa's Landing Boat Launch in the Town of Green Valley around 5:10 p.m. on July 3.

The initial report indicated that a 33-year-old man had allegedly jumped into the water and did not resurface.
First responders immediately arrived at the scene and began search and rescue efforts, closing down County Road S in the process.
After roughly two hours of searching, the Marathon County Dive Team found and recovered the body of the 33-year-old man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Marathon County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Mosinee Fire Department, the Stratford Fire Department, the Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Marathon County Medical Examiner's Office.
No additional information has been released.
