Baby book lost for 20 years returned to Ohio mother just in time for 1st Mother's Day without late son after couple's act of kindness

It was an act of kindness that came at the perfect time for this grieving Ohio mother. Stephanie Clyburn was overwhelmed with emotion when a long-lost baby book containing the infant hand prints of her now-adult son was retuned to her just months after he was killed in a car crash — all thanks to some strangers who moved into her old family home and found the tome in the attic. The precious keepsake had been missing for some 20 years — and was located just in time to help Clyburn to get through her first Mother's day without her son, Brystin Coldiron, who was killed in a car crash last November at age 22. Advertisement 'I'm a firm believer in God, and I think that was his way of being like, 'Here, Mom. Happy Mother's Day.' I don't know. I just feel it,' Clyburn told WKRC Wednesday. 3 The book was missing for two decades. WKRC The book initially went missing when Clyburn gave the treasure to her mother to hold onto, but after several moves, it vanished. Advertisement When Cassidy Massie and her husband moved into the Greenfield village house that previously belonged to Clyburn's mom, they noticed some stuff was left in the attic. 'When the appraisal happened, we got the pictures and all that,' Massie told the news station. 'And one of the pictures that showed there was a bunch of stuff up in the attic. And I told my husband, I was like, 'I'm going to go up there at some point.'' She found the book and made it her mission to track down the rightful owner, using Facebook to see if anyone knew Clyburn, who at the time had the last name West. Advertisement 3 The keepsake holds special importance to Stephanie Clyburn who lost her son in November. WKRC 'If somebody found something like that of ours, I would want them to reach out if they found it,' Massie reportedly said. Clyburn was made aware of the social media post and pair connected last Sunday – Mother's Day. 'I couldn't believe that she had it, but once I saw it, I was like, 'This is it. This is it,'' Clyburn said. 'And like, I was excited, but peace came over me, like, I have from his beginning to his end.' Advertisement 3 The book was in an old attic. WKRC There were other keepsakes of Coldiron's childhood left in the attic that Clyburn was thrilled to get back as she continued to mourn the loss of her child. 'Being a stranger, they could have tossed it out,' she added. 'I'm very appreciative of her. I think if anybody ever comes across something like this, you always try to find its owner. You don't know what they're going through.'

Kriti Sanon celebrates Mother's Day with her biggest critic and supporter

Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, who was recently seen in the streaming film, 'Do Patti,' is celebrating Mother's Day. The actress took to her Instagram, and shared a heartfelt video featuring her mother Geeta Sanon. She called her mom her biggest supporter and her biggest critic. She wrote in the caption, 'Happy Mother's Day Mumma. To our sunshine of happiness and our pillar of strength. My Biggest supporter and the biggest critic! The problem solver and the drama-queen! The mother as well as the baby of our house. We love you more than you know. Happy Mother's day to all moms out there'. Earlier in the day, the actress' 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' co-actor Rajkummar Rao remembered his mother, and expressing the gratitude to different forms of mothers in his life on the occasion of Mother's Day. The actor, who will be next seen in the upcoming film 'Bhool Chuk Maaf,' took to his Instagram on Sunday, and shared pictures of his late mother, his wife Patralekha, goddess Durga and mother India. He wrote in the caption, 'Happy Mother's Day Everyone. Maa is the closest you can ever be to God. Thank you for every hug, lesson, happiness and Smile'. Rajkummar had earlier said that his mother passed away during the shoot of his critically acclaimed film 'Newton.' The actor took a few days off from his shoot, and went to his home for the final rites of his mother. Prior to this, Kriti gave a sneak peek into her March diaries, and shared how she 'March-ed into April.' One of the photos in her post was of her chilling at her home, followed by an image of enjoying a wholesome home-cooked meal. We could also see her having a blast with 'Tere Ishk Mein' director Anand L Rai on the sets of her next. From some self-care during downtime at home to travelling, to satisfying her sweet tooth, to creating some fond memories with friends, Kriti's March looked like a perfect balance of work and fun. Almost a decade after 'Raanjhanaa,' Aanand L Rai continues his love affair with Banaras in his next 'Tere Ishk Mein.' Presented by Gulshan Kumar, in collaboration with T-Series, and Colour Yellow, the much-awaited project brings back the dynamic trio of Aanand L Rai, Dhanush, and A.R. Rahman for another cinematic masterpiece. The story of the film has been penned by Himanshu Sharma in association with Neeraj Yadav. Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar have jointly produced the project. 'Tere Ishk Mein' is a spiritual successor to the 2013 film 'Raanjhanaa,' delving deeper into themes of unrequited love, and emotional conflict. 'Tere Ishk Mein' is expected to reach the cinema halls on Nov.28, in both Hindi and Tamil. Additionally, Kriti's first look from the film as Mukti also grabbed a lot of eyeballs. She was seen walking through a chaotic, warlike scene, looking all stressed and broken. She poured petrol on herself and held a lighter, preparing to set herself on fire. Indo-Asian News Service

Restaurant on Dauphin Island quickly reopens after storm damage

DAUPHIN ISLAND, Ala. (WKRG) – A popular Dauphin Island restaurant is back in business just days after severe weather pounded the area. The owner of Capt'n Snapper's Marina Bar & Grill says a community effort got him back open sooner than he could have expected. This is the first restaurant you drive past when you get on the island. For comparison sake–damage from Hurricane Sally kept them closed for a week–with this storm, they were only closed for a day and a the side of the building, you can see where they put up a temporary wall behind the morning, the storm tore a hole in the side of the building and knocked over an air conditioner. In the kitchen the storm also knocked the ceiling apart and left a lot of debris. Today the kitchen is cleaned up and the ceiling is secure. Owner David Simms said at first he cancelled their Mother's day special–but thanks to loyal customers and people from the community, they worked at a breakneck pace to get the restaurant reopened for Sunday's special dinner service. 'It was great. You know, it's a community deal down here on the island. It's a small place. And we were very proud and thankful that they all got here and we worked together to get it done,' said owner David Simms. These repairs are temporary, and Simms says they'll eventually have to close for a short time again to get permanent repairs in places. For now, he's grateful to be back open in time for the tourist season to pick up the pace. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Alia Bhatt calls for peace amid India and Pakistan tensions; says 'our soldiers are awake, alert, and in danger'

As tensions between India and Pakistan stir unrest, Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt shared an emotional and powerful statement calling for peace while also paying tribute to the Indian armed forces . In a heartfelt social media note posted on Tuesday, Bhatt reflected on the 'stillness' in the atmosphere and the quiet courage of soldiers defending the nation at the borders. Bhatt in her note, struck a tone of solidarity and empathy, acknowledging the gravity of the current situation for the soldiers and their families, all while calling for peace. "The last few nights have felt... different," Alia began her note and went on to add, "There's a certain stillness in the air when a nation holds its breath. And over the past few days we've felt that stillness. That quiet anxiety. That pulse of tension that hums beneath every conversation, behind every news notification, around every dinner table." View this post on Instagram A post shared by ColorsTV (@colorstv) Paying tribute to the soldiers and their sacrifice, she said, "We have felt the weight of knowing that somewhere, out there in the mountains, our soldiers are awake, alert, and in danger. While most of us are tucked into our homes, there are men and women standing in the dark, guarding our sleep wiith theirs. With their lives. And that reality... it does something to you. Because you realise this isn't just bravery. It's sacrifice." Remembering the families of the soldiers, she added, "And behind every uniform is a mother who hasn't slept either. A mother who knows her child is facing a night not of lullabies, but of uncertainty. Of tension. Of Silence that can shatter in an instant." Sharing her own thoughts and feelings after celebrating Mother's day with her daughter Raha Kapoor and hubby Ranbir Kapoor , Alia said, "while flowers were being handed out and hugs exchanged, I couldn't help but think of the mothers who raised heroes and carry that quiet pride with just a little more steel in their spine." Honouring those who lost their lives over the past few days, the actress wrote, "We mourn the lives that have been lost, soldiers who will never come home, whose names are now etched in soul of this country. May their families find strength in the nation's gratitude." "So tonight and every night forward, we hope for less silence born of tension and more silence born of peace. And send love to every parent out there holding prayers, holding back tears. Because your strength moves the nation more than you'll ever know." She concluded her note saying, "We stand together. For our protectors. For India. Jai Hind." Bhatt's note comes shortly after her mother, Soni Razdan penned a strongly worded note, urging restraint. Taking to her Instagram stories, she penned a note that read, "Anyone who thinks that a war is desirable has no idea what it really means. Anyone who thinks a prolonged war with Pakistan is desirable is delusional. In just 3 days so many civilians lost their lives." Warning of the threat of nuclear warfare, she said, "We may think we are strong and we are. But in such a war no one wins except the player who's watching from the stands while we blow each other up." Slamming those calling for war, she said, "Because you want war. Don't expect someone else to do your dirty work for you." She clarified that "When it comes to defending our nation and our people we have no choice," she warned, "Be aware of the difference that is all. And pray that it doesn't come to pass." Calling for the nation to pray for the soldiers on the front lines, she said, "Prayers for those who keep us safe. They are the true angels. Don't be so quick to send them into danger."
