Actor Mrunal Thakur expressed her excitement for the upcoming release of 'Son of Sardaar 2' and 'Dhadak 2'. Despite her own film releasing on the same day, she extended her best wishes to the team of Dhadak 2. Both films are slated to hit theatres on August 1. 'Son of Sardaar 2' is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 blockbuster 'Son of Sardaar', with actor Ajay Devgn leading the ensemble. Along with Devgn and Thakur, the movie also stars Ravi Kishan, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Chunky Panday and Sanjay Mishra, among others. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film has been backed by Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and T-Series.'Dhadak 2', on the other hand, is directed by Shazia Iqbal. The romantic drama is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film 'Dhadak'. It marked Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter's acting debut. The Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri film tells the story of a lower-caste law student who falls in love with a classmate from an upper caste. The successful sequels 'Son of Sardaar 2' and 'Dhadak 2' will both hit theaters on August 1. Now, Mrunal Thakur supported 'Dhadak 2' on her Instagram stories prior to the movie's release. Mrunal shared a poster of the movie starring Siddhant and Triptii and said she was excited for both of them to be released. Building excitement for the film, she recently posted on social media about her adventure learning to play the dhol.
