SSMP Beat Defending Champions SSTMI To Win Maiden MCKK Premier 7's Title
KUALA LUMPUR, July 6 (Bernama) – Sekolah Sukan Malaysia Pahang (SSMP) made history today, emerging as the new champions of the 2025 MCKK Premier 7's Rugby Championship after defeating reigning champion Sekolah Sukan Tunku Mahkota Ismail (SSTMI) in the Cup category final at The Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) field.
SSMP's 17-12 victory secured their maiden title in the prestigious 13th edition of the tournament, ending SSTMI's long dominance in the competition.
The key to SSMP's success was their disciplined play and player agility, with an outstanding performance by Muhammad Ammar Zidan Mohd Zaid, who also received the Zaharuddin Alias Best Player award.
