How To Heal Monsoon Skin Gently: Ayurvedic Fixes For Acne, Oil, And Fungal Woes

Last Updated: While monsoon increases the chances of acne, fungal infections, and other skin woes, these can be effectively treated by time-tested Ayurvedic ingredients. While the monsoon season brings welcome relief from summer's intense heat, it also creates a perfect storm for skin issues. Fungal infections, stubborn acne, and unrelenting greasiness are common skin concerns during the humid monsoon months. However, the key to maintaining healthy skin during the rainy season lies in working with nature, not against it. Ahmed, Director at Poshaan, shares an easy and effective Ayurvedic approach for navigating monsoon skincare with balance and clarity. 1. Combat Fungal Infections with Herbal Defence Increased humidity creates an ideal environment for fungal infections, especially in areas like underarms, feet, and skin folds. Relying on time-tested Ayurvedic ingredients such as neem, turmeric, and tea tree oil is the key. These natural antifungal agents help strengthen the skin's resilience and reduce irritation. 2. Soothe Acne Flare-Ups from Within 3. Keep Oil in Check Without Stripping Skin A common mistake during this season is over-cleansing. Instead of aggressive chemical face washes, opt for gentle herbal formulations with ingredients like Multani mitti, sandalwood, and tulsi. These help absorb excess oil while calming the skin. Ahmed notes that supporting liver function through Ayurvedic detox routines can also help control oil production at the source, leaving your complexion balanced and radiant. 4. Don't Forget to Hydrate Yes, it's humid, but your skin still needs hydration. Swap heavy creams for lightweight, herbal moisturisers. Sip on herbal teas infused with tulsi, liquorice, or ginger to calm internal inflammation, improve immunity, and support overall skin health. view comments First Published: July 26, 2025, 14:37 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Four arrested in assault on Sri Ram Sene activists; police say both sides at fault

Belagavi: Yamakanmaradi police arrested four individuals on Monday in connection with an assault on five persons, said to be Sri Ram Sene activists, at Ingalagi village of Hukkeri taluk on Saturday. The victims were allegedly tied to a coconut tree and beaten by locals. The incident came to light after a video of the assault went viral on social media the following day. Addressing a press conference on Monday, SP Bhimashankar Guled stated that the police took suo motu cognizance of the incident after the video surfaced, as no formal complaint was filed by the victims. Complex background of the case According to SP Guled, one of the five victims, Mahaveer Solapure, is a known rowdy-sheeter previously externed from Belagavi and currently residing in Kalaburagi, intercepted a vehicle transporting four cows on June 26, allegedly posing as gaurakshaks. Owner of the cows, Babajan Multani, reportedly presented valid documents, proving he purchased the cows for dairy purposes. The matter was briefly handled at the Yamakanmaradi police station, and the cows were temporarily sent to a local goshala. After being convinced of the legitimacy of the transport, the five individuals submitted a letter to the police stating they did not wish to pursue the case. However, on June 28, when Multani went to retrieve his cows from the goushala, the same individuals allegedly intercepted the vehicle again. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Perdagangkan CFD Emas dengan Broker Tepercaya IC Markets Mendaftar Undo Following a brief confrontation, they left the vehicle but then reportedly followed it to Ingalagi village. While Multani was away from home, the group entered his residence, frightening the women and children present inside. Their unannounced entry led to panic, leading villagers to detain and assault them, tying them to coconut trees. Legal stand: 'Both sides committed offences' SP Guled said that entering a private residence without permission constitutes a legal offence. Similarly, physically assaulting individuals by taking the law into one's own hands is also punishable. "Since both parties were involved in unlawful acts, neither came forward to file a complaint," he explained. Despite this, police arrested four individuals from the village after verifying the assault through video evidence. Separately, a complaint was filed by a vehicle driver, Shivaputra Sanadi, whose vehicle was intercepted by the same group earlier. SP Guled confirmed that legal action is being taken under appropriate provisions. No communal angle Issuing clarification over media speculation, SP Guled said that of the four arrested individuals, one is a Hindu and three are Muslims, and no communal motive was involved. "Unfortunately, some social media channels tried to portray the incident as Muslims attacking gaurakshaks but this was purely a case of public outrage triggered by fear and trespassing — not a Hindu-Muslim issue," he said. The SP also raised concerns about the misuse of organisational identity. He said Sri Ram Sene should clarify if the rowdy sheeter is a member or misusing the organisation's name. In that case, they should register a complaint with the police, he said.

Sri Rama Sene men attacked after they stop vehicle carrying cows and barge into owner's home, 4 villagers held

Four villagers were arrested in Karnataka's Belagavi district on Monday for allegedly tying Sri Rama Sene members to a pole and thrashing them after they intercepted a vehicle transporting cows and later barged into the home of the cattle's owner, the police said. On June 26, the Sri Rama Sene activists intercepted a vehicle transporting cows in Ingali village near Hukkeri, alleging that the animals were being illegally taken for slaughter. They took the driver to the police station and alleged the cows were headed to a slaughterhouse. However, the driver insisted the cattle were being transported for dairy or taming purposes. Further, he alleged the Sri Rama Sene activists attempted to extort money from him by making false accusations. The cows were then shifted to a cow shelter in Ingali. On June 28, Sri Rama Sene activists allegedly barged into the house of Babasab Ramjan Multani, the owner of the cows, after he brought the cattle back from the cow shelter. A police officer said there were only women at the house at the time and that the Sri Rama Sene men were attacked as they were initially mistaken for thieves. On June 29, Sri Rama Sene leader Vithal Gaddi alleged five of their activists were attacked when they tried to prevent illegal cattle transportation and that the police did not take any action against the assailants. However, Belagavi SP Bhimashankar Guled said on Monday that four men who assaulted Sri Rama Sene activists were arrested. When the Sri Rama Sene activists took Multani's vehicle to the Hukkeri police station, he provided documents stating that the cows were being used for farming and not to be sent to a slaughterhouse. But when Sri Rama Sene activists barged into Multani's house, they were attacked by villagers including Hindus and Muslims, according to the police. The Sri Rama Sene activists did not file any complaint but alleged the police did not accept their complaint. 'We have enough evidence to prove that they chose not to file a complaint. Now, we have taken up a suo motu case and arrested four persons,' the police officer added. 'While Sri Rama Sene activists broke the law by barging into a house without permission, some villagers did the same by assaulting them. The victims don't seem to be innocent. One of them is a rowdy-sheeter and is under externment. Some people are misusing the names of the organisation,' he said.
